Laima Vaikule's music festival "Rendezvous" has died down in Jurmala. Many Russian celebrities arrived to support the Latvian diva. And although the founders of this event do their best to deny comparisons with the “New Wave” - after all, it was a competition, and here is a festival! – the parallels draw themselves. Same time, same place and almost the same artists. But the muse is not Alla Pugacheva, but Laima Vaikule.

The family had little money, and after her father died from lung cancer in 1980, Svetlana was forced to work three shifts to feed the family. At this time, the boy was looked after by his older half-sister Galina Grishko.
As a child, Danilko showed a penchant for drawing and music. His mother encouraged his desire for creativity and sent her son to art school. The boy’s talents also manifested themselves in other areas: he played in the school studio-theater “Grotesque” and was captain of the KVN team. However, Andrei grew up as a modest and shy guy, truly revealing himself only on stage.
In 1991, Andrei dreamed of entering a music school, but the admissions committee considered that the guy did not look natural enough on stage. He applied to the Pedagogical Institute, but was unable to enter there either - a bad grade in Ukrainian literature prevented him. Then the future pop star applied to a vocational school to become a cashier-seller. The guy also wanted to try to enter the Kharkov Theater Institute, but he missed the train and gave up his dream.
In 1995, Andrei again tried to continue his studies, passing exams at the Kiev Variety and Circus School. Studying was not easy for the artist; he often argued with teachers. Having failed to find a common language with the teachers, after a year and a half Danilko was expelled as an unpromising student. The artist entered the Kiev National University of Art and Culture, which he successfully graduated from.
Andrey created the character Verka Serduchka while still a schoolboy in 1990. The heroine's surname appeared thanks to her classmate and excellent student Anna Serdyuk, whom the guy promised to glorify throughout the country, while the name came from the colorful school cleaning lady Vera. In 1993, the guy first appeared in the image of the well-known Verka Serduchka at the Humorina festival in his hometown. His act “Conductor” and the image of Serduchka immediately fell in love with the public, while Andrei also played the roles of a policeman, a soldier, a teacher and a ballerina.

In 1991, at the next review of educational institutions in the region, he presented two of his miniatures, “Conductor” and “Dining Room.” Both numbers were a great success among the Poltava public, and the young man gained his first fans.
Soon he was able to get a job as a freelance correspondent for the newspaper “Komsomolets Poltava” and interview celebrities in the early 1990s. Andrey had been striving for this for a long time; he absolutely loved communicating 
with the stars of those years, write about the groups “Mirage”, “Tender May” and “Kar-Man”, interview participants in Alla Pugacheva’s “Christmas Meetings”, where he also managed to visit. 1993 was the real birthday of Verka Serduchka. In this image, Andrey first appeared on the stage of the Poltava “Humorina”, received a prize for the best acting work and was able to qualify for a competitive place in the capital’s festival. In 1996, his collaboration with the famous music producer Yuri Nikitin began. Soon he recorded the first song “Simply Vera”, and then accepted the offer to host the television program “SV-show” in the image of Verka Serduchka. And when the famous illusionist David Copperfield was asked to name several associations that arise when he mentions Ukraine, he replied that these are President Leonid Kuchma, the Ukrainian vodka and Verka Serduchka.
I didn’t become a hostage to one image. He runs his own theater, where guests can see their favorite artist in different roles. Now he took a creative break and said that for some time the audience 
they won’t see Verka Serduchka in the media space, although Andrei continues to work, updates his repertoire and shoots a film. The artist traditionally does not talk about his personal life and carefully protects himself from unnecessary press attention. It is only known that he still has not started a family, lives in Kyiv, avoids social gatherings, spends the money he earns on charity and good deeds, without ever advertising it. They wrote that for more than 10 years the artist had a relationship with Inna Belokon (maiden name Yaremenko), a stage colleague who became famous for her role as Verka Serduchka’s mother. They met back in the late 80s. Andrey, after he was not accepted into the music school, entered a trade and culinary vocational school. There, a 16-year-old boy who began to actively participate in amateur performances met 21-year-old Inna. They noticed each other immediately. “He was quiet, but in one second he could do something that would be remembered for a lifetime,” Inna later recalled.

That same year, at a banquet after the singer Lyubasha’s concert, there were witnesses who saw Danilko and Belokon kissing without hiding their feelings. Then rumors appeared that Belokon was divorcing her husband, allegedly because of Danilko. But the divorce never took place. A little over a year ago, Danilko openly admitted that he was too tired of people and even experienced something like social phobia; he only managed to relax alone with himself. He prepares his own food, and a visiting housewife takes care of everyday life. According to the artist, he wanted a family in his 20s, over time this desire became less and less, but now he has reached the age when “he doesn’t want a family at all.” However, Danilko does not rule out that love may still “come” to him.
