Disposable cups are a simple and affordable material for creativity with children. At the same time, it gives enormous scope for imagination, because the glass can turn into anything, as the participants demonstrated "Cities of Professions" when they made it crafts from disposable cups. Original and unconventional ideas will inspire you to do crafts with your children.
The composition consists of an Easter bunny and a basket.
The hare was made as follows: first, Sonya painted a transparent glass white. While it was drying, she cut out the ears I had drawn on cardboard, and then cut out the inside of the ears from pink paper and glued the cut out parts together. Dad cut holes in the bottom of the cup and inserted ears. Finally, I drew the face with felt-tip pens.
My husband and I made the basket. He cut the glass into strips, leaving the bottom untouched. I folded the strips in a circle. The handle was glued using a gun. Then I cut several thin strips of colored paper to make “hay-straw”, which I placed in a basket, with toy eggs on top.

I thought for a long time what we should do to make it simple but interesting. And I decided to make simple animals, but not separately, but for a fairy tale. Namely for. That’s why the craft is called “Animals from the fairy tale “Kolobok”.
We only had clear plastic cups at home, so that’s what we used. I prepared in advance (drew and cut out) the necessary parts from colored paper (ears, eyes, noses and whiskers) and put them all together in a bowl. When the eldest son came home from kindergarten, a kolobok (ready-made kinder ball) rolled up to him and asked him to help him make animals from a fairy tale.
We remembered who was there: a hare, a wolf, a bear and a fox. First, the bun asked his son to sort the parts and determine what belonged to whom. Then we glued the parts to the cups with a glue stick and drew pupils and mouths with a felt-tip pen. The younger one watched all this time and tried to tear off what we had already glued)) And then my son and I role-played the fairy tale. My son really liked it. In the evening, he himself showed the fairy tale to dad again while I was putting the youngest one to bed.
Materials used: 4 plastic cups, colored paper, scissors, glue stick, black felt-tip pen.
Olga Niedergaus and two sons: Stepan 4.7 years old. and Artemy 1.4.g., Chelyabinsk.
Today we have a new friend, Cheburashka's sister - the girl Cheburilka. Since I didn’t have a disposable paper cup, and it would have been more convenient with one, I filled the existing plastic disposable cup with crumpled paper for density and sealed the bottom with tape.
I made the body out of brown cardboard and glued a circle of cardboard on top. I cut out large ears from cardboard of a similar color and glued them on with glue and tape. I cut an oval out of plain white paper and drew a face, which I glued to the blank.
Using double-sided tape, I decorated our Cheburilka with a bow. Olesya liked the heroine and wore her with other heroes all day!

I thought for a long time about what I could come up with out of cups, but absolutely nothing came to mind. And when I went to the store to buy cups, they only had clear ones in stock. This came as a surprise to me. I imagined white paper ones or with a pattern. I decided to use this disadvantage and turn it into an advantage. Don't lose transparency. Moreover, the theme of classes in the city of professions is “Restaurant”. That’s how it all came together and the idea of a children’s bar was born.
On the menu: tea, coffee/chocolate, milk, strawberry, cherry, plum, apple, pear, banana, peach, orange, carrot juices.
They come with decorations: whipped cream, strawberries, lemon and orange slices, mint and straws. You can order different combinations from the little bartender.
Making: I prepared strips of multi-colored paper of three types: narrow, medium and widest. I secured the stripes in the cup with tape, but some of the flowers were made of self-adhesive paper. For the bartender's convenience, the child and the child placed stickers with fruits that were found at home on the cups. Orange and lemon slices made of white cardboard with orange and yellow applications.
There is a slot in the middle for putting on a glass. Strawberries and mint are cut out of construction paper and folded in half. Whipped cream from a rolled white napkin. We got:
Bon appetit!
Oksana Demidova and Fedya 4 years old, St. Petersburg.
We made a craft from a cup for the “City of Professions” project. The craft is called “house-restaurant”.
Necessary materials:
A window and a door were cut out in the glass. We made fried plasticine. Vitya rolled out pancakes from plasticine with a toy rolling pin and baked them on a plastic lid. Turned it over on both sides. Pancakes were put into a glass.
Then roses made of corrugated paper were stuck under the window. The window was decorated with buttons. They wrote “Restaurant” above the door. The roof was decorated with butterflies. A button handle was screwed to the door using wire. There is an LED flashlight inside. We'll turn on the lights in the evening. The craft must be dried on a radiator.
We will use it for games "City of Professions" in a cardboard box.

If you want to paint wine glasses for yourself or as a gift, for a wedding or a theme party, rest assured that you will get great pleasure from creativity - because it is done easily, quickly and inexpensively.
Before you begin the step-by-step master class on painting glasses with your own hands, you need to decide on the future design of your wine glasses, so we invite you to get inspired and get original ideas for “glass” decor in the next chapter.
Painting glasses and wine glasses can vary in drawing technique, degree of complexity, use of materials and, of course, subject matter.
Wine glasses decorated with small peas look very festive and can be either elegant, as in the photo below, or cheerful, multi-colored. The circles are associated with champagne bubbles or bright confetti.
Difficulty level: very simple.
What you will need: acrylic or contour paints for glass and ceramics; regular nail polish is also suitable (but acrylic paints are much more durable) or a special marker for painting dishes. To degrease the wine glasses, prepare nail polish remover, degreaser or alcohol; for drawing - cotton swabs, a pencil with an eraser at the end or a small hard synthetic brush, and to correct the drawing - cotton pads and swabs.
Painting technique:
Turn the glass over and start placing dots from top to bottom, maintaining the same interval between them. You can draw points as in this master class, that is, starting from large to small, gradually increasing the distance between them. Otherwise, the dots can be the same size, different in color, and they can also form a pattern or pattern (point to point or pique technique), and also slightly overlap each other.
Advice:
Here are other ideas for painting glasses with multi-colored polka dots that will decorate any fun party (scroll the photo to the right).
Gold, silver, and white polka dots are more suitable for decorating wedding glasses.
By the way, circles can be not only drawn, but also glued. You can buy vinyl self-adhesive paper of the desired color and cut out circles from it using a hole punch or special scissors, and then carefully glue them onto the glass. The photo below shows glasses decorated in this way.
In this master class we will turn glasses into flowers, because its stem is so similar to a stem, and its bowl is like a bud.
Difficulty level: average.
What you will need: any degreaser, cotton pads and cotton swabs for degreasing and pattern correction. And for painting, prepare synthetic art brushes of different sizes, a plastic plate or palette for mixing paints, as well as acrylic paints for glass and ceramics. If you wish, you can complement the drawing with contour and stained glass paints, markers and glitter.
Drawing technique:
Next, drawing the flower will be layered, so you need to wait until the drawn stamens dry. You can dry them naturally, leaving them for 2 hours, or bake them in the oven at 150-170 degrees for 15 minutes.
Well, that's all, the decor of wedding, gift or holiday glasses is complete.
In the photo below you can find other interesting painting ideas with floral and plant motifs (scroll through).
And here are examples of painting on glass with peacock feathers.
The theme of flora and fauna is also very popular.
Glasses for festive serving of themed parties can be decorated brightly and funny.
Glasses as a gift or for a wedding can be additionally decorated with rhinestones, feathers, pearls, sparkles, ribbons and other decor.
Stencils will also help you paint on glass with your own hands. To do this you need:
Tip: you can apply inscriptions or images through a stencil with a special matting paint on glass with the effect of frost or frost, which is sold in art stores or online stores. An example of such decor is in the photo below.
Useful tips
Often, when we go outdoors and have a picnic, we take plastic spoons with us.
After this, as a rule, there are still many of these spoons left, and they are stored in the cabinet for a long time.
Don't throw away plastic spoons. Even more than that, buy a few more spoons so that you can make a beautiful craft or even several crafts.
Here are some interesting crafts that can be easily made using plastic spoons:
You can use both plastic spoons and stainless steel spoons (as in this example), but it is much cheaper and more logical to use plastic ones.
You will need:
Spoons
Acrylic paint
Brush
Glue (superglue)
Wooden tablet.
You will need:
Can
Plastic spoons
Scissors
Acrylic or spray paint (if desired)
Brush.
1. Prepare a tin can. You can paint it.
2. Use scissors to cut off the top of each plastic spoon.
* It is advisable to first decide how many rows of spoons will cover the jar and how many spoons are in each row. In this example there are 8 rows of 15 spoons.
* If you want to paint spoons, then place them on a flat surface, prepare the paint and come up with the color you want for the future vase.
* If you use spray paint, you should paint outdoors and preferably while wearing a protective mask.
* You can combine paints - one row of one color, the other of another.
3. When the spoons are ready, think about which direction they will face and start gluing them to the jar.
Here's what you should end up with:
You will need:
Plastic spoons (in this example there are 250 of them)
Scissors
Superglue or hot glue gun
Styrofoam
A watch, photograph, small mirror or other interesting item
Bolts and screwdriver
Stationery knife.
1. Cut a circle from foam plastic. In this example the diameter of the circle is 45 cm, but you can make a circle of any size.
You can cut using a stationery knife.
2. Find the center of the circle and mark it to attach a photo, mirror or other object. For the watch, you need to cut a hole of the required size in order to change batteries, wind the watch, etc.
3. Cut off the tops of the spoons using scissors.
4. Begin to carefully glue the spoons in a circle, completely covering the foam. You should start from the edge of the circle and, gluing in rows, move towards the center of the circle.
*If you wish, you can paint the spoons. Use spray paint, but you need to paint outdoors or in a well-ventilated area (garage, open balcony).
*In this example, I had to add a couple of squares of foam to attach the clock to the foam.
* Instead of a clock, you can glue any photograph, picture or small mirror.
You will need:
Plastic spoons (in this example there are 100 of them)
Superglue or hot glue
Scissors
Acrylic or spray paint
Brush
1. Use scissors to cut off the top of the spoons.
2. Start gluing the spoons to the cone, starting from the bottom. Glue in a checkerboard pattern and continue all the way to the top of the head.
3. Paint the Christmas tree any color. You can use acrylic or spray paint. You can also leave the tree white or use spoons that were already painted when you bought them.
You will need:
Plastic spoons (in this example there are 4 pieces)
Acrylic paint
Brush
Sandpaper
Brush
Toothpick (if desired)
Black marker
1. Sand each spoon to remove shine.
2. Paint each spoon a certain color, leaving 4-5 cm at the bottom unpainted, because the spoons will be in the ground.
3. When the paint has dried, write the name of the plant, flower, etc., on each spoon with a marker.
3. Using a toothpick and paint, you can make dotted patterns on the spoon - if desired.
4. Let the paint dry before using your tags.
You will need:
Multi-colored plastic spoons (in this example, pink and blue)
Thick cardboard or fiberboard
Acrylic or spray paint
Brush
Pompoms (you can buy them or make them yourself)
Super glue or hot glue gun
Thick thread.
1. Prepare cardboard or fiberboard and cut out three identical triangles. If you wish, you can color each triangle.
2. Cut off the top part of each spoon - these are the future petals of your flower. This can be done with scissors or by heating a knife so that it smoothly cuts the plastic - this method is dangerous, so it is better that an adult handle this step.
3. For one flower you will need 6 spoons, and there are 3 flowers in total in the garland. Mark the middle of each triangle and begin gluing plastic petals in a circle.
4. Glue one pompom into the center of each flower.
5. Make two holes in each triangle and thread a thick thread through them to create a garland.
You will need:
Plastic egg or box that was inside a chocolate egg

What can be made from these bottles:
When will these beautiful bottles come in handy:
Using the same technique you can paint any glass: glasses, jars and wine glasses.
You should be very careful about the choice of paint, since the final result will depend on this.
How to paint a plastic bottle for crafts? For decoration, you can use exactly the same paints as for glass. It is best that they are not aggressive.
But you shouldn’t spray paint in an apartment, because it has a strong smell and takes a long time to air out.
All types of painting can be divided into several techniques. Two of them are basic: applying paint from the inside of the bottle and the outside. Each method has its own disadvantages and advantages. For example, painting from the inside makes it possible to achieve a beautiful glow from the inside, but limits the combination of colors and textures. And surface painting gives full rein to your imagination: here you can use stencils, make gradient color transitions, and create textures. Choose the technique that you like.
In order to paint the inside of a bottle for decoration with acrylic paint you will need:
Using a syringe, inject paint into the bottle and distribute it evenly along the walls.
Turn the bottles over and let the excess paint drip off
If you smear the outside of the bottle with paint, it can be easily cleaned with solvent.
Bottles painted with acrylic can be used as original vases; moreover, they do not lose the beautiful reflection of the glass, illuminating the bottom.
The original vase for the home is ready
Coating the outside with paint gives you a lot of possibilities, such as creating beautiful stripes or other stenciled designs on the surface.
Stencil non-painting
Painting with electrical tape
To paint the outside of a bottle you will need:
Process:
Apply electrical tape to the surface of the bottle
Apply paint using a brush or sponge. After drying completely (1 day), remove the tape.
Ready vase for decoration
In order to paint over all the gaps, you need to apply at least two layers of paint.
This method is the simplest and fastest, but it is recommended to use it outdoors.
Gradient painting with spray paint
It will require:
Before painting, the bottle must be washed thoroughly, labels and traces of glue must be removed. After which they need to be dried and treated with a degreaser. Place the bottle on the newspaper and at a distance of 30cm, start spraying paint on it.
The principle of coloring: first the darkest tone is applied, and then lighter shades are applied on top of it.
If one layer is not enough, the procedure must be repeated. When painting bottles with spray paint, you can use various stencils or tape, resulting in unique, original patterns. Bottles painted in delicate light colors in combination with gold or silver paint look very impressive.
