Are you a responsible mother who has volunteered to decorate a kindergarten for the New Year, a teacher entrusted with this solemn and festive mission, or just a lover of handicrafts who will be happy to help make your child’s second home beautiful in a New Year’s way? In all these cases, our tips and ideas for decorating a kindergarten will come in handy. We've collected the coolest ideas, so stock up on materials, there's still time to get everything ready.

We decorate the walls

For New Year's wall decoration, you will need the following materials and tools to the maximum:

  • colored paper;
  • colored cardboard;
  • felt;
  • ribbons;
  • twine;
  • Christmas balls;
  • twigs;
  • cones;
  • paints;
  • scissors;
  • PVA glue;
  • paper in silence;
  • glue gun;
  • ruler;
  • patterns and stencils.

What can we do with this entire list? Paper applications on the wall, for example, a Snowman made of several round white balls, a Christmas tree, paper garlands, snowflakes, garlands with felt toys, garlands made of natural materials. A group's decoration for the New Year might look something like this:

You need to cut out openwork circles from white paper, prepare a hat, eyes, mouth, and you can make a carrot nose from felt.

A Christmas tree is made using approximately the same principle. Attach the parts with tape. The garland can be made from rectangular narrow pieces of paper or from round pieces that need to be stitched with a machine.

From wooden sticks for the wall you can create an entire installation - a three-dimensional Christmas tree with balls, bows and children's toys. Complete the composition with an electric garland and hang it somewhere on a narrow wall.

Twigs can be collected with children on the street. You can even give parents a task so that they and their children bring a Christmas tree toy for decoration.

The walls can be painted. If, of course, the management allows and you feel the talent of an artist. Although you can always use a stencil and paints, which can then be easily washed off from the glossy surface of the wall.

The stencil must be carefully cut out with nail scissors and using spray paint. Use a combination of paint + paper + felt and other materials to create an interesting New Year's composition on the wall.

Painting the windows

How to decorate a kindergarten for the New Year? Use your windows! To begin with, you can paint them. Use glass paints or folk remedies:

  • water;
  • toothpaste;
  • natural dyes.

You need to dilute a few peas of toothpaste in a small amount of water, add the desired natural dye and feel free to go decorate the windows in a group. The design will last all holidays, and if desired, it can be easily washed off with water.

Or you can use a regular children's drawing stencil and a dishwashing sponge.

Decorating windows and window sills

Don’t forget that in addition to painting the windows, you can also decorate them with various garlands, decorate the curtains, and also use the window sill. Various paper installations with garlands are a great option for decorating a group for the New Year.

You can arrange a whole exhibition of children’s New Year’s works on the windowsill.

The window in the kindergarten group can also be decorated with ribbons, cones and fir branches with Christmas tree decorations. Use any ideas and materials that come to mind for decoration: acorns, chestnuts, walnuts, bows, beads, paper snowflakes, paper flowers in silence. In our articles, we have repeatedly told you how to make flowers from different types of paper; take ideas into your arsenal for decorating a kindergarten for the New Year.

Decorate with paper flowers in silence

Making a Snowman from disposable cups

Children love three-dimensional figures so that they can approach, touch, and take pictures. For the New Year, a Snowman made from plastic cups can be a decoration for the garden. Stock up on materials:

  • plastic glasses - 200-300 pcs.;
  • stapler;
  • black paint or material for eyes and buttons;
  • orange material or nose paint;
  • red paper for the mouth;
  • scarf;
  • Christmas decorations.

First, you need to make a base from plastic cups - connect them together into a circle of the same diameter as you want the Snowman to be in volume. The cups are easily connected to each other with a stapler.

You need to stack rows of glasses on top of each other, creating a dome. Use a stapler to connect not only adjacent glasses, but also rows.

Step by step you will need to make two or even three such domes. After which the Snowman needs to be decorated, to give him, so to speak, a human face. You can use colored glasses, paint them, use fabric, Christmas tree decorations or colored paper. You can place a garland in the middle of the product so that the Snowman glows beautifully - here you have a kindergarten group decoration for the New Year.

Using the same principle, you can make Santa Claus or come up with some other character. Twist, think, perhaps you can use plastic cups to make a symbol of the coming year - a dog.

We create festive figures from cardboard

But not from ordinary cardboard, but from the kind in which they bring electronics and sell shoes. In general, you need very thick brown cardboard. Let's make a deer out of it, for example.

You can also use plywood for a deer or elk, but then you will need a little more resources - a jigsaw and strength. To assemble such a figure you will need a stencil.

You need to carefully cut out all the parts and cut the grooves so that you can later assemble the installation. You don't even need glue to work. You can use a simpler design to decorate a group for the New Year and not spend a lot of time.

And literally from three parts you can make a deer like this:

Decorating a group for the New Year in kindergarten does not have to be pompous, using all possible materials. Sometimes it is enough to secure such a simple cardboard composition and hang a few stylish garlands and the group will already be transformed.

Decorating the stairs

There is one more area for activity that we did not take into account - these are stairs. New Year's decorations in kindergarten can be placed on a flight of stairs or the handrails of the stairs themselves can be decorated. And here rain, decorative Christmas tree branches, ribbons, and bows with pine cones can come into play. We have selected some interesting ideas in the photo:

Natural materials look luxurious - twigs, berries, cones. Of course, you need to take into account the fact that the decoration is being prepared for a kindergarten where there are a lot of mischievous people.

As an example, take the following option - simple, but very elegant. Use plastic or stuffed toys.

Decorating cabinet doors

You can beautifully decorate the cabinet doors - such a decoration for a group for the New Year in the garden can become its calling card. For each cabinet you can sew a boot from felt or any other material, you can create beautiful wreaths from improvised materials, New Year's compositions based on wooden photo frames.

New Year's decoration ideas. Decorations made of colored ice.

This is a very beautiful New Year's decoration for any home, store, garden, etc. The most important thing is that making such a decoration is not at all difficult.

You will need:

Balloons

Food coloring

1. Fill the balloons with water.

2. Add food coloring to the water.

3. Place it in the cold and let the water freeze.

4. Remove the balls.

You can make various ice sculptures in a similar way.

For example, to make a medallion like this out of ice, you need to make multi-colored ice cubes:

* pour water into ice trays, add a couple of drops of food coloring (you can use different colors that can be combined)

* when your water turns into ice, put the ice cube in a round mold, fill it with water and freeze again

* if you want to make a hole in the medallion, this is possible in several ways.

For example, before pouring water into a cube, place a small glass in a round mold.

You can also drill a hole, or use a thin stream of hot water.

From such ice floes you can build mosaics and various figures.

Helpful advice: to get transparent ice, freeze boiled water, and if you want matte ice, freeze raw water.

New Year's decoration of facades. New Year's wreath on the door.

To decorate your home, you don’t have to buy a lot of things for New Year’s decor; you just need to know a few tricks and ideas that will help you decorate both the interior and the facade with your own hands.

Here is one simple example - a New Year's wreath on the door.

1. Prepare old, unnecessary magazines and cut them into strips 2 cm wide (any length, but the same for everyone).

* Try cutting strips of approximately the same tone (any tone of your choice), in this example it is red.

2. Fold each strip in half and secure the ends with glue or a stapler.

3. Cut a circle out of cardboard. Inside the circle, use a stationery knife (or a simple knife and then scissors) to cut out the same circle - you will get the basis of a New Year's wreath.

4. Using PVA glue, pencil glue or a stapler, begin to carefully glue (attach) paper strips folded into a loop onto the cardboard circle (see picture).

4.1 First, make the first row, and when creating further rows, the loops need to be glued (fastened with a stapler) slightly on top of the other loops of their previous row.

4.2 Cover the entire cardboard base.

5. All that remains is to attach a ribbon or thread to hang the New Year's wreath.

Try making several round wreaths in the same style and joining them together to decorate a large part of the façade.

New Year's home decoration. "Precious" New Year's balls.

Decorating your home for New Year is a very enjoyable process, and if you use homemade decorations, you will get double the pleasure.

You will need:

Glue (glue gun or glue stick)

Scissors

Foam balls

Headed pins

Bijouterie

1. You will need elements of costume jewelry - beads, for example. Place all the parts in a deep plate.

2. Start adding beads and/or other matching pieces of jewelry onto the pin. Leave about 1/3 of the pin uncovered. It is advisable to start putting on with a small bead.

* You can use beads, especially if some elements may slip through the pin.

3. Apply a little glue to the tip of the pin and insert it into the foam ball. The glue will not only allow the pin to stay firmly in place, but also prevent the beads from “walking” on it.

4. You need to fill the entire ball with these pins. Leave some space for attaching the tape.

5. Add the ribbon, securing it with glue. After that, cover the place where the tape is glued with a few more pins and beads.

*If it is difficult to insert pins with beads into certain empty spaces, try placing only beads on them.

These beautiful balls can decorate any interior.

New Year's garden decoration. Lollipops in the garden.

Make your neighbors think you have giant candy canes growing in your garden. This craft will cost you a penny, but will be an excellent New Year's decoration that everyone, and children especially, will enjoy.

You will need:

A straight branch, stick or something similar (made of iron, wood or plastic)

Plastic plates

Scissors or utility knife

Acrylic paint or gouache

Plastic bags

1. Prepare plastic plates and cut off the outer part.

2. Using paint, paint the plates to look like candy canes (see picture). Use multiple colors for variety.

3. After the paint has dried, take 2 plates and glue them together, placing a branch (stick) between them.

4. Wrap the "candy" in plastic bags to make it even more realistic.

Now you can decorate your garden with festive “candy.”

New Year's decoration of the hall. Balls with tasks and countdown.

You will need:

12 balls (you can prepare more just in case)

Strips of paper (to fit into each ball)

Marker or pen

Small gifts (surprises)

1. Prepare paper strips and write different tasks on them. For example:

* have a snowball fight

*eat a cookie

*tell a joke or story

* sing a song

* tidy up the table (at least one useful task)

* congratulate anyone on the New Year

* turn on the music and dance in disco style

2. Roll the strip into a tube and place it in a ball.

3. Inflate the balloon and stick it to the wall with tape.

4. Write the time on each ball, starting, for example, from 12-00 to midnight. Every hour, have someone blow up the balloon and read the task.

*You can prepare more balls depending on the number of participants in the event.

New Year's decoration of premises. Pine cone decoration.

You will need:

Wooden beads

Scissors (you can use garden scissors to make it easier)

White paint, if desired

Twine

1. Collect a lot of cones, prepare wooden beads and several circles cut out of felt (diameter 5cm).

2. Using garden shears, cut off several sections of one pine cone.

3. Glue the parts of the pine cone to the felt circle so that they act as petals. Continue gluing until you reach the middle.

4. Glue a wooden bead into the middle of the “flower”.

5. If you wish, you can paint the tips of the flower or the entire flower with white paint.

6. To create a garland, you can glue twine to the back of the flowers (on the other side of the felt circles).

DIY New Year's decor. Flameless decorative fire.

You will need:

Garland

Thick fabric

PVA glue

Stationery knife

Tree branches

Decorating a kindergarten for the New Year

Description: This material may be useful to kindergarten directors, senior teachers, music directors, educators, and aesthetes. Employees of preschool institutions and schools can get interesting ideas for decorating a kindergarten using inexpensive, but very bright, effective material.

Decorating a kindergarten for the New Year. New Year's design.

Goals: creating prerequisites for the artistic and creative development of preschool children.
Tasks:
creating a festive atmosphere, developing children's ideas about design, style, cultivating a sense of beauty through observing the New Year's decorations of the kindergarten, participating in the creation of decoration elements.

I would like to present to your attention an option for decorating a kindergarten premises for the New Year.

To decorate the kindergarten, we actively use material such as penofol. Penofol is a light and heat insulating material based on foamed polyethylene with a layer of aluminum foil. This material is an environmentally friendly product that does not emit harmful gases, which is one of the conditions for its use in children's educational institutions. Penofol is sold in rolls, it is relatively inexpensive, and you can find it in construction stores.

This material models very well, is easy to cut, and takes the desired shape.
Penofol is perfect for decorating a kindergarten for the long-awaited New Year holiday: it is very pleasant to use, and it is also silver in color. Penofol is like the embodiment of a magical New Year's fairy tale. The image of the Snow Queen, magical snow-covered trees, ocean blocks, and maybe Father Frost himself and the Snow Maiden immediately appear. Since I liked this material so much, it was used in large quantities to decorate kindergarten playgrounds.
In the hallway I created an exhibition of works made from foam foam. The theme of the work is, of course, winter. The exhibition presents the work of not only the teacher, but also joint work with children, and children’s work. The kindergarten students and parents really liked the exhibition of paintings; they stopped and looked at our “creations” with pleasure.

In the music room, works using penofol were also presented.

The entrance to the music room was decorated with a sign made from the same material. The result was a real “Father Frost’s Residence.”

New Year's performances always require screens; matinee heroes hide behind them to create a surprise moment. But, of course, you can’t just put screens in the music hall on such a holiday. I covered the screens for the music room with sheets so that the bright colors of the screens themselves would not show through, and I hung them on top with chiffon, which gave them some airiness and lightness. On top I decorated the screens with tinsel and stars from the ceiling tiles.

To decorate the hall I use railings on the back wall and on the ceiling.
I wrap the ceiling rails in tinsel and hang large decorations: stars, Christmas trees, balls, beads. To decorate the back wall I use Christmas balls hung on tinsel. The Christmas tree in the music hall is decorated with rows of balls, bows and garland.

On the site near the music hall there is a smaller Christmas tree.

Large matching balls hang from above at different heights.
The perimeter of the site is decorated with tinsel and Christmas tree decorations.

I placed a branch from a Christmas tree on a glass table on the site and decorated it with New Year's balls. On the pillars are leaves from a popular cheap goods store.

Another corner is decorated with a tree using the already familiar penofol. On top are large balls.

I decorated the railings with branches from an old Christmas tree and hung Christmas tree balls. (photo from another site, so the balls are golden).

In the hall of the first floor there is a decorated Christmas tree with gifts and a poster for New Year's matinees. This is the second year I have designed a poster in this style. It’s very convenient: parents can find out in advance what the theme is not only for the children’s matinee in their group, but also read what matinees other children will have, and follow the general theme of children’s New Year’s parties.

It is customary to decorate not only your houses and apartments, but also all public spaces and even city streets. The atmosphere of holiday anticipation covers the entire city, and every day becomes truly magical. All preschool and general education institutions are also supported. How to decorate a group for the New Year in kindergarten is a question that worries any teacher and responsible parent.

Safety first

When decorating premises in a kindergarten, it is important to follow the most important rule - the younger the children, the less decor, and vice versa. Pupils of older groups can take an active part in preparing for the holiday. If you are decorating a room for children, decorations should be placed higher than their height. Parents can help decorate a children's group for the New Year. The teacher should not hesitate to ask moms and dads with this request and invite each family to contribute to the preparations for the holiday. Follow safety rules; do not place flammable decorations near electrical appliances. When attaching the decor, do not use pins or buttons. Pay attention to the choice of jewelry. They must be unbreakable, lightweight, and free from sharp corners and sharp elements.

Crafts exhibition

Creative tasks are an integral part of aesthetic education. You can create a New Year's mood in a group by inviting children to make themed crafts. If you don’t know how to decorate the group, invite the children to make snowmen, Christmas trees, or Santa Claus figures. The complexity of crafts and the technique of their implementation depend on the age of the children. If space allows, an exhibition of finished works can be organized directly in the group. Place a separate table or select a couple of shelves. A great idea is to theme the space to display crafts. You can draw a winter landscape on whatman paper, and decorate the tabletop or shelf with white fabric or “snow” made of cotton wool.

Decorating walls in a group

In the room where kindergarten students spend most of their time, it is most convenient to decorate the walls. Parents can be involved in the production of wall newspapers. There are many themes for holiday posters: “Winter entertainment”, “Holiday traditions”, “New Year in different countries”, “Rules of behavior during a winter walk” and everything that your imagination suggests.

How to decorate a group for the New Year if you have enough tinsel? From shiny elements you can lay out various simple shapes and short inscriptions on the walls. For fastening, use regular transparent or double-sided tape. Form a Christmas tree, a New Year’s ball from tinsel, “write” a holiday greeting or numbers for the coming year.

Festive mood from the very entrance

The locker room is a room in which parents help children undress and dress every day; all children and teachers begin their day here. Decorate the door leading to the group. You can hang a traditional one on it, which, if desired, can be easily made with your own hands from tinsel and Christmas tree decorations. In the locker room you can also hang a holiday poster or put a themed folder. The lockers for clothes also deserve attention. You can put a small New Year's sticker on each one. A great idea for educators is to make the following announcement to parents in advance: “We are decorating the group, waiting for ideas, materials and crafts.” Surely many mothers and fathers will offer original decor ideas, bring homemade decorations, as well as tinsel and balls that are not used in home decor.

Window decor

If there are many windows in a group, they should also be decorated for the holiday. The simplest option is to cut out snowflakes from white paper; pupils from older groups can also be involved in this creativity. Remember: if we decorate a group for the New Year with our own hands together with the children, then we trust them to glue window decorations only at the bottom of the glass. But the top of the glass, which children cannot reach, should be decorated personally by the teacher. An alternative option for window decoration is to paint the glass with gouache or draw patterns with artificial snow. You can hang balls on ribbons or decorative pendants made from cardboard on the curtains. How to decorate a group for the New Year in an unusual way and without extra effort? Try making voluminous paper snowflakes and hanging them on a garland. You can also cut out more interesting figures and shapes instead of traditional snowflakes and glue them to the glass. Use special stencils for this or take the time to carefully draw the template on a sheet of paper before cutting it out.

Is a Christmas tree necessary in kindergarten?

The main symbol of the holiday - the Christmas tree - is traditionally installed in the assembly hall, where all matinees and other events are held. It turns out that if we decorate a kindergarten group for the New Year, we can do without installing a Christmas tree? It all depends on the age of the children and the availability of free space in the room. If the group is already quite crowded, it is indeed better to refuse a personal Christmas tree or choose a mini-option and install it on the teacher’s table or a free shelf. If the space allows and the children are old enough not to disassemble or break the New Year’s beauty, you can put your own tree in the group. Invite your students to make toys for decoration with their own hands, but if you decide to buy ready-made balls and tinsel, choose ones that are unbreakable and safe in all respects.

As you can see, there are many options. Many educators have a special love for the winter holidays. “We decorate the group in the garden for the New Year together with the children, try to make crafts using some new unusual techniques, and even coming to work in this way is more pleasant and interesting,” say the teachers. Do not be afraid of possible difficulties; in fact, creating a festive atmosphere in a preschool educational institution is not at all difficult, the main thing is to approach this task with humor and optimism.

Every coming year is a fabulous time for children. It's time when all wishes come true, miracles happen. Teachers in preschool institutions try to maintain this mood in children and take a responsible approach to decorating the kindergarten group for the New Year. Each holiday is distinguished by memorable ideas and interesting surprises.

Decorations for New Year's events should be bright, colorful, attract children's attention, but not distract from daily activities and meet safety measures.

Ideas for teachers on how to decorate a group

Clothes cabinets can be decorated with boots or wreaths.

Every year, teachers take a creative approach to organizing holidays in the kindergarten. The team does the decorating of the groups independently, without the help of designers or the services of special companies. To do this, they turn to Internet resources and combine the old with the new.

Decorating a group for the New Year begins with the front door and children's clothing compartments. To do this, you can use homemade or purchased Christmas tree wreaths. It is worth involving children in the process of making them. Each child has the opportunity to make a wreath for their own locker.

Among the materials you will need:

  • wire frame;
  • green decorative paper;
  • toys;
  • tinsel.

Is your child expecting a gift from Santa Claus on New Year's Eve?

YesNo

New Year's attributes such as snowflakes, decorative goodies, and bags with gifts can be added to the composition. These elements are used to decorate cabinet doors separately.

Drawings of New Year's characters will look organic on the walls: Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, deer, snowmen, etc. Decorating in the form of children's photographs and homemade Christmas tree decorations is a good idea.

For the New Year 2019, a children's institution can organize a competition to design the best mini-Christmas tree. The main thing here is not victory, but participation. The prepared products will serve as decoration for the group.

You can attach unbreakable balls and paper figures to the ceiling. Helium balloons will add a festive atmosphere.

Important! The design of premises in kindergartens will also not be complete without a large, lush Christmas tree, but you should avoid decorations in the form of glass toys and sparkling lights. Such items pose a danger among children.

Features of the New Year's decoration of the music hall

The place where children's parties are held should cause special delight in children and adults. The design of the group for the New Year 2019 can be thematic and tied to a specific cartoon, children's play: “The Nutcracker”, “The Snow Queen”, “Twelve Months”, “The Polar Express”, etc. Decor in the form of figures of cartoon characters and plot pictures will help create the appropriate atmosphere.

For the New Year 2019, a children's institution can organize a competition to design the best mini-Christmas tree.

Since the music room is a room for a public event, its design in a kindergarten should take into account the specific zoning features. In the quiet area there are musical instruments and chairs where the children sit. Here you can place figurines of toy characters.

In the active zone, children dance and perform rhythmic movements, so when decorating the hall you should avoid breakable objects. In this part of the room, emphasis should be placed on the walls using drawings, photographs and applications.

Examples of New Year's decorations for the assembly hall in a kindergarten.

When deciding how to decorate a kindergarten for the coming New Year, do not forget about the color scheme.

For children, it is important to maintain discreet, calm shades that will inspire the creative process.

At the New Year's holiday, the combination of light and dark colors looks original. However, it is important to consider the age of the children. Up to 5 years of age, the psyche is less stable than that of older preschoolers. Suitable shades at this age would be: pink, yellow, green, blue, orange.

At the New Year's holiday, the combination of light and dark colors looks original.

How to decorate the windows, stairs and yard in a kindergarten yourself?

The decor of windows, stairs and courtyards is no less important for the overall picture. From the street, the decorated façade of the building looks beautiful. Garlands are usually used for this. In the 21st century, flickering lights have been replaced by LEDs, which are safer for use among children. If there is a Christmas tree growing on the territory of the kindergarten, then it would be a good idea to decorate it with toys and festive tinsel.

Decorating a kindergarten for the New Year does not bypass such interior elements as the staircase. Thematic wall newspapers prepared by children are often hung on the walls. The steps are decorated with rain, and toys, festive socks and wreaths made of fir branches are hung on the railings.

You need to decorate the premises depending on the chosen style. Among the child-safe materials for decorating stairs are also suitable:

  • ribbons;
  • bows;
  • gift bags;
  • multi-colored tinsel.

There are also a large number of master classes on the Internet on “how to decorate a group for the new year 2019.” Video clips inspire new ideas and allow you to combine the proposed decor variations, creating something new.

To decorate mirrors and windows, you can resort to stained glass technology. To do this, you will need paper templates of New Year's figures, which are fixed with water. Windows are decorated in an original way by spraying paint and glitter. The result is discreet but beautiful pictures.

Bottom line

New Year's decoration of a group in kindergarten is a labor-intensive and responsible process. When decorating rooms, it is necessary to take into account several factors: children's interest, safety and creativity.

You can make materials for decoration with your own hands and involve children in the work process. Creative activities will help young craftsmen to express themselves, as well as to have a hand in the design of the group, which cannot but inspire and cause a sense of pride in parents.
