Original photo holders. DIY photo holder DIY photo holder

Cute “Me to you” bears have long been loved not only by little girls, but also by older girls. But what if it’s expensive to buy, but there’s no one to give it to? Do it yourself! In this tutorial I will show you how to make a photo holder with your own hands in the shape of a cute “Me to you” bear.

Materials and tools for work:

  • Working surface: glass or ceramic tiles with a flat, smooth surface
  • Knife or scalpel
  • Pin or needle

How to make a photo holder

To work, we will need baked polymer clay in dark gray, gray, light gray, red, black and light blue colors.

I took a ready-made metal photo holder, but a similar one is quite easy to make yourself from suitable wire.

We make the main parts of our teddy bear from gray plastic. By the way, even a fairly large bear cub (mine turned out to be 4.5 centimeters in height) will be light, so you can’t put a heavy photo or postcard there. To make the teddy bear heavier, you can place a pebble or a nut in the body.

We come up with a bear pose. He will sit most steadily. We fasten the torso, head and lower legs.

The small ball will become the tail. Cutting the same small ball in half, we get ears.

We attach them to the head, not forgetting to add lighter internal areas.

Our little bear will have a heart as an additional accessory. Give a piece of red polymer clay a triangular shape with rounded corners.

We cut from one edge using a blade and give the final shape.

Place the heart on the bear's lower paws.

From light gray plastic, add a muzzle in the form of half a ball, press it to the heart.

We secure the photo holder using the upper paws of the bear.

A distinctive feature of the “Me to you” bears are patches and seams. We make patches on the heels and head from dark gray plastic.

We outline the seams on the head, paws and back.

Using a pin or needle we create the texture of the wool. We make hairs in small stripes.

Having completed the texture on the teddy bear, we lay out the seams with thin strips of dark gray plastic, carefully pressing them to the surface.

Add eyes and nose. Bake according to the instructions for polymer clay.

Enjoy your homemade cute bear!

Photography stores memorable and important moments that happen in our lives. In order for such photographs to always be in sight, they can be hung on the wall or original holders can be made that can be conveniently placed on a chest of drawers or a table. For example, such a composition for a handmade photo will definitely capture the imagination of guests and acquaintances.

For this craft, we suggest using colored minerals, which can be purchased at a specialty store. If you don’t find minerals, you can use artificial stones of interesting colors and colors.

First you need to make holders. Use an odd number of minerals or stones of the chosen shade. To make this craft you will need thin and sharp pliers. This tool will allow you to easily bend and twist the wire, which is not always possible to do by hand.

Take one end of the wire and wrap it around the stone. You should be left with a long piece of wire on the other side. Now, using the tool, twist the wire into a small loop, which will serve to attach the photo.

You will need scrapbooking cards to post your photos. Take cards measuring 8x10 cm. Arrange them by color and attach the cards to the wire loops. Once you are happy with the placement of the cards, you can begin preparing the photos.

Print several selected photos, possibly on one sheet of paper at once. To contrast with colored minerals, photographs can be taken in black and white.

Cut out the photos and give the corners a rounded shape. Attach photos to appropriate cards.

The craft is ready!

This stand will look great both in the living room and in the bedroom.

Each of us has many favorite photos that we would like to see every day. Of course, they can be placed in photo frames, but there is a more original way - a photo holder. It can also be used for notes, phones and cards. So let's try to make a photo holder ourselves.

In order to make a photo holder, we will need:

  • Alligator clips
  • Electrical wire scraps
  • Plaster paint
  • Gypsum powder
  • “Hot glue” and a “gun” for it
  • A piece of wire
  • Aluminum jar or some other shape (for example, from a candle)
  • Wire cutters and pliers
  • Spoon, brush

Let's get started:

  1. Cut the electrical wire into pieces 10-15 cm long. Put an alligator clip on each such segment and secure it by pressing the neck of the clip with pliers.
  2. Then weave them together at a distance of about 5 cm from the lower ends, for strength, pre-fasten them with wire. Bend the free ends in opposite directions.
  3. Stick it all to the bottom of the mold using hot glue.
  4. Dilute gypsum powder in a bowl following the instructions. Fill the mold completely with plaster mass. Let the structure dry for about 10-12 hours.
  5. Paint the plaster surface and let it dry. Now give the wires the desired shape, and that’s it, you can enjoy your masterpiece! The photo holder is ready!

You have created a wonderful and versatile item. You can place your favorite photos, postcards, and necessary papers in the photo holder. You can place this design closer to the phone so that you always have the necessary numbers and business cards at hand.

Every year more and more bright photographs appear in our house, and almost every one of them I want to put in a prominent place. Therefore, we have found for you homemade photo holders that do not take up much space on tables and bedside tables and are now quite popular in design. And they are done in an elementary way!

What you will need:

  • simple wooden cubes (available at craft stores)
  • acrylic paints
  • metal springy tubes (they are also sold in handicraft stores. You can use any metal sticks that can be easily bent)
  • Sponges that will be used to apply paint

How to do

Start by painting your cubes in bright colors. These can be completely different colors that will suit your room, for example.

Now draw a star template (or any figure) somewhere on the paper, and then bend the metal wire according to the template. Don’t forget to leave one tip at the top not bent, because this end will be used to attach the photograph (look at the photo below).

Now we begin to screw a springy tube into the upper part of the cube (only if the paint has dried). If you just used a metal stick, you will need to use a small drill to make a tiny hole in the center of the cube. You can cope with this even without the help of your spouse. Then use glue to keep the stick in the cube.

Well, the last step is to insert your wonderful photos into these holders!

Photo holder made using natural material (watermelon seeds)

The master class is conducted by Adriana Zotchenko, 9 years old, 3rd grade student of the Belorechensky Lyceum Municipal Educational Institution, Usolsky district, Irkutsk region

Curator: Anna Vladimirovna Krat, primary school teacher at gymnasium No. 4 in the city of Podolsk, Moscow region.

I have already submitted a craft for the “Do-It-Yourself Summer Crafts” competition - pockets for small items “My watermelon mood”. I continued this theme and present photo holders decorated with watermelon seeds and thread applique.

You might be wondering what watermelon has to do with autumn. Of course, you are right, for us watermelon is the most summer food. But, firstly, officially, watermelons can only be sold from August, but in the meantime it will arrive from Astrakhan to us in Siberia - here you have autumn. And, secondly, don’t you want to remember on a rainy autumn day how great it was in the summer?!

So, you will need the following materials and tools:

small glass jar, watermelon seeds, gouache paints, sushi sticks, clothespin, twine, glue stick, paint brush, scissors, red and green wool embroidery threads, green cardboard, toothpicks.

Paint the clothespin with gouache paint. Place the clothespin aside to let the paint dry.

Think over the composition, glue the seeds to the jar with a glue stick and a toothpick. In order for the seeds to stick securely, you need to put a lot of glue on a toothpick.

Paint the seeds with gouache paints. The paint should be very thick.

Let's return to the clothespin. The paint has dried, now you can glue the watermelon seeds to the clothespin and cover them with thick gouache.
