Snowy branches made of salt. A mass that imitates snow. Foamed polyethylene snow

) can be used artificial snow for decoration:

1. Making snow from soap

Grate white soap(or a candle white) on a grater and mix with baby powder.

2. Making snow from foam plastic

You need to grate the foam and sprinkle it on the branches, which must first be coated with glue. For this, branches can be taken from any tree, and if you add a little sparkle to the foam, the snow on the branches will sparkle beautifully. This method can be used to decorate spreading and large branches. Snow-covered branches can be decorated with anything, for example, a garland, bows, balls, etc.
3. Diaper snow

Having taken a sufficient number of diapers, you will have to carefully cut them with scissors and pour the contents - that same sodium polyacrylate - into a previously prepared container. For these purposes, you can take a bucket or basin, or get by with a smaller container - everything will depend on how much snow you want to get in the end. After the contents of the diapers are poured into the container, you should pour a little water into it, mix, and wait some time until the sodium polyacrylate absorbs the liquid. If the “snow” looks dry, add a little more water and stir again. And so on until the contents of the container look like real snow. For artificial snow to look like real snow not only in appearance, but also to the touch, just place it in the refrigerator. If the container is too large, go to the cold. The main thing is that the temperature is not below zero - in this case the water will freeze and our artificial snow will simply turn into ice.
4. Snow from packaging bags (the photo shows a comparison with real snow)

You will need:
- foamed polyethylene; (material that is used as packaging material for breakable items, and is also inserted into bow new shoes to maintain shape.)
- fine grater
- scissors.

It is advisable to work with gloves. With a little effort, we get the following result. But if you are not satisfied with this result, you can experiment further. Let's take scissors and finely cut our snow flakes.
5. Frost from salt

We will imitate frost using salt crystals. It will turn out real chemical experiment, and for the baby - magical transformation. It is better to take coarse salt, then the crystals will be more impressive. Salt crystals can be made colored by tinting the salt solution with ink, brilliant green, or food coloring.
So. Pour salt into boiling water and let it dissolve completely (proportion: 1 kg of salt per 1.5-2 liters of water). Dip clean and dry twigs into the hot saline solution (this is important). Leave to cool. Then carefully remove the branches and let them dry. The frost is ready. The method is convenient for small twigs, dried herbs, dill umbrellas, etc. You can also grow salt crystals on Christmas tree decorations. “Frozen” branches look good not only solo, as an independent winter bouquet, but also in New Year’s compositions made from coniferous branches.

6. Snow made from shaving foam

You need to mix about a pack of baking soda with about a can of shaving foam. By kneading a mass of these ingredients, you will get a cool, snow-like substance, from which snowballs and snowballs are indeed molded.

7. Snow made of paper.

You can make a beautiful snow bouquet using cut paper. You will need white or pale blue paper (for example, paper napkins), thin foil (Christmas tree tinsel). This entire paper “collection” needs to be crumbled into pieces of the chosen shape. You can cut out circles using a hole punch, or make small cuts, thin strips or any arbitrary shapes. Mix the paper in a dry and sufficiently large container. Carefully dip the collected branches into glue (clerical or PVA) and sprinkle with prepared frost. Leave the frost to dry and your snow bouquet is ready!

8. Snow made of foam.

Grate the foam on a coarse grater. It is advisable to work in small room, because the foam tends to scatter everywhere and terribly clings (magnetizes) to your hands and nearby things. Place the grated balls into the box. Dip the prepared beautiful branches into glue and immediately sprinkle with foam crumbles. This kind of snow stays on the branches very well.

9. Frost from powdered sugar.

Frost can be made not only on branches, but also on fruits. Why not a New Year's bouquet with a frosty apple or a tangerine in the snow? Apply fresh egg white to well-washed and dried fruits and, without wasting time, sprinkle the fruits with sugar or powdered sugar. Add a couple of spruce branches, dry maple or holly leaves to the fruit and your bouquet is ready!

10. Spray snow .

The simplest and easiest way is to decorate with artificial frost or snow from a spray can. Matte, shiny, crumbly, large or smaller - you can choose what you like best. Just spray this miracle from a can onto the prepared bouquet, and it will sparkle, bringing that frosty mood into your home!

11. made of soap and paper

How to make snow with your own hands? There is an option made from soap and toilet paper.

Prepare 2-3 rolls of white toilet paper and a bar of white soap.Tear into small pieces.Microwave the dish with the paper mixture and the whole bar of soap for 1 minute. Check the contents every 15 seconds. In the oven the mass should fluff up.Now the soap has become soft and crumbles right in your hands.Fill the mixture with water. First add 1 cup, then add another half cup. NowYou can form a snowball.

12. From semolina. Spread the surface with glue and sprinkle with semolina. :)

Frost

Through the trees silvery

The veil was thrown over -

Snow-white, fluffy,

Lace beauty!

And the birch tree itself is sad

I couldn't find out on my own...

So skillfully decorated

Winter tree branches...

Step-by-step process for making crafts

1. Let's prepare the materials we need:

2. Cut the napkin 6 cm wide.

3. Cut the foil 2-3 cm wide.

4. Fold the napkin in half and put foil in it.

5. We fold the resulting strip several times and begin cutting, leaving the base intact.

We will need about 15-20 such blanks (depending on the size of the branch).

6. Having greased the tip of the “tape” with glue, we begin to wrap our branch, starting from the ends.

7. When the next ribbon ends, its second end also needs to be lubricated with glue and secured, then take a new ribbon and continue working.

8. In this way you need to design a whole branch. You can then decorate it with birds or winter berries.

9. The children really liked this work.

10. I hope that you also appreciated it.

New Year is a national holiday and everyone strives to decorate their home. If you are going to make a New Year's composition from fir branches, candles and Christmas tree decorations, decorate the branches with frost.

This will give the composition even more New Year's winter mood.

I offer you several ways to create frost on branches.

How to make twigs in frost?

Making “snow-covered” branches is very easy

1 Method

Grate the foam or finely break it with your hands. Lubricate the branches with PVA glue and sprinkle with polystyrene foam.

2 Method

This method is more complicated, but the result will definitely please you.

It is necessary to prepare a concentrated solution table salt- 1 kg per 1.5 liters of water. If you want the frost to be colored, add a little ink to the salt water.

It is better to take rock salt, coarsely ground.

Bring the solution to a boil and immerse the Christmas tree branches in it, then leave it in the cold for 5-6 hours (you can take it out to the balcony or outside overnight if you live in your own house). In the morning, very carefully, so as not to shake off the formed crystals, remove the branches from the saline solution and dry them by hanging them.

A few hours later, you will see branches sparkling with snowflakes. They seem to be in fairy tale kingdom... If you use the same solution copper sulfate, the branches will be covered with blue crystals.

3 Method

Soak pine needles in water and roll in granulated sugar. You will get real winter frost.

4 Method

You can also dip the branch into melted paraffin several times - it will look like a branch that has just been covered with snow

5 way.

You need ordinary twigs, stripped of small twigs, and beautiful threads, preferably “fluffy”.

At the beginning of the branch, tie a knot and secure it with tape, and then tightly wrap the threads around the branch. At the end of the branch, the thread should also be secured with tape.

The results are extraordinary compositions. Approximately the same

And the easiest way:

Buy a can of artificial snow and cover your branches.

And which of the above methods for making twigs in frost you use is up to you to decide, the main thing is to do it in a good holiday mood!

How to make artificial snow. 20 recipes!

We have collected 20 artificial snow recipes for you - try them and share your impressions. Not all of them will completely imitate snow - fluffy, soft, cold and smelling fresh. There is “snow” paint for painting, “snow” slime, “snow” plasticine, and other interesting substances. But they all have a direct connection to snow and will definitely appeal to children.

For children, the most interesting options are those proposed by Crystal Andrewood

How to make artificial snow at home

1. Shining Snow

It turns out cold, fluffy and very soft.

Ingredients:

Two boxes of cornstarch/cornmeal

Shaving cream

Peppermint extract (optional)

2. Snow plasticine

Ingredients:

2 cups baking soda

1 cup cornstarch

1 and 1/2 cups cold water

A few drops of mint extract

3. Snow slime

Ingredients:

2 cups PVA glue

1.5 cups hot water

Optional: a few drops of mint extract to give the slime a frosty aroma

Mix in a small bowl

Mix in a second bowl

3/4 teaspoon borax

1.3 cups hot water
Combine the contents of both bowls and mix with your hands for several minutes until the mixture begins to stretch.

4. Snow paint

Ingredients:

Shaving cream

School PVA glue

Peppermint extract

5. “Silk” snow

Ingredients:

Frozen white bars of soap (any brand)

Cheese grater

Peppermint extract

Preparation method: Place the soap in the freezer overnight. In the morning you can take it out one piece at a time (Crystal used 6 bars) and grate it. It will work out fluffy snow, to which you can add glitter and mint extract. It molds perfectly, and you can make a snowman or any other figure.

6. Snow dough

Ingredients:

Cornstarch (freeze overnight to keep snow dough cold)

Lotion (refrigerate overnight to keep dough cold)

7. “Liquid” snow.

Ingredients:

Frozen Corn Starch

Ice water

Peppermint extract

To the starch that you took out of the freezer, you need to add ice water until the desired consistency is obtained. It is recommended to add a little at a time so that the “snow” does not turn out too liquid.

Also, if you've never made non-Newtonian fluids before, you might be in for a surprise. Because with active interaction, the mass becomes harder and more viscous, and at rest it spreads.

8. Snow made from shaving foam

Ingredients:

1 can of shaving foam

1.5 packs of soda

glitter (optional)

Squeeze the contents of the foam can into a bowl and gradually add soda. You will have a very nice mass of snow from which to sculpt figures.

Now let's move on to the adult part.

Artificial snow recipes

9. Snow made of polyethylene foam

Ingredients:
foamed polyethylene (used as packaging material for equipment, glass, shoe inserts) or polystyrene foam;
fine grater.
We wear gloves. Grind polyethylene or polystyrene foam and... Voila! Fluffy cereal all over your house!!! If you add sparkles, the snow will also sparkle. You can powder anything with this snow if you first lubricate the surface with liquid (diluted with water) PVA glue.

10. Snow from polymer clay

Ingredients:
remnants of dried polymer clay (plastic).
Craftswomen often have leftover polymer clay that they hate to throw away. It is very convenient to grind it by hand and then using a coffee grinder. The result is a light and multi-colored (when using colored clay) snowball, which can be used to decorate cards and other hand-made products.

11. Snow from a baby diaper

Ingredients:
baby diaper.
To get snow you need:
1. cut the diaper and remove the sodium polyacrylate from it, and then tear it into small pieces.
2. Place the resulting mass in a container and fill it with water. Fill gradually in small portions until the pieces of polyacrylate begin to resemble snow. Just don't overdo it or it will end up too wet;
3. To make the snow look more realistic, place the container in the refrigerator, but not in the freezer.

12. Frost from salt

Ingredients:
salt (preferably coarsely ground);
water.
Prepare a concentrated salt solution. To do this, fill the pan with a small amount of water and place it on low heat. Add salt until it stops dissolving. Dip the branches of spruce, pine or any other plant into the hot solution and leave for a while. The process of crystal formation is much faster in warm water! Let the water drain and leave the plants to dry for 4-5 hours. Sparkling frost is guaranteed! If you add brilliant green to the salt solution, food colorings or ink, the frost will turn out colored!

13. Artificial snow for a “snow globe”

Ingredients:
Paraffin candle
It must be grated on a fine grater. This “snow” is great for making toys “a la snowball"when glycerin and artificial snow flakes are added to the water. The container is hermetically sealed and when shaken, the snowball smoothly sinks to the bottom.

You can actually take a simpler route - and add regular sparkles to such a ball. It will turn out no less impressive.

14. Snow made of PVA and flock

Flock is a very finely chopped pile. And if you're lucky enough to find a package of white flock on sale, rejoice. After all, now you will have “snow” for any craft in a matter of minutes. It is enough to generously coat the surface with glue and sprinkle flock on top (you can use a strainer).

15. Snow made from PVA and starch

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons starch

2 tablespoons PVA

2 tablespoons silver paint

Mix (grind) the ingredients thoroughly.

This kind of snow is suitable when you need to decorate the surface of a product with a voluminous white mass.

16. Mass imitating snow

Ingredients:

fine quartz sand or semolina or foam chips

white acrylic

thick PVA

1. Pour into a bowl a small amount of the material you have chosen. Approximately 1 faceted glass.
2. Currently bulk material start adding white little by little acrylic paint. Based on experience, it is better to buy it in hardware store For facade works. We add until such a state that our loose particles stick together, but do not float in the liquid.
3. Then add PVA, preferably thick. We also add very little so that the mixture is elastic and viscous.
4. Well, and some silver sparkles. Mix everything and... that's it!!!

Recipes for edible “snow”.

17. Sugar snow

Ingredients:
sugar.
Dip the edges of the glass (glass) into water or syrup and then into sugar.

18. “Snow-covered” plants
Ingredients:
gum arabic;
egg white.
Using these components, you can sugar plants (non-poisonous and non-bitter). Flowers of pear, apple, cherry, rose, violet, primrose, lemon, begonia, chrysanthemum, gladioli, and pansy have good taste. Candied leaves of mint, lemon balm, and geranium turn out beautiful and very fragrant. Dissolve 12 g of gum arabic in ¼ cup of hot water (in a water bath) with constant stirring. Cool the solution. Prepare sugar syrup: 100g sugar per ¼ glass of water. Cool too. Apply gum arabic solution first to the plants with a brush, and then sugar syrup. Sprinkle with fine granulated sugar(but not powder). Dry on parchment or tracing paper. Such “snow-covered” beauty will not deteriorate for several months. These flowers can be used to decorate a birthday cake or your favorite small sweet pastries.

19. “Snow-covered” plants - option 2

Ingredients:
egg white;
sugar.
Beat egg white and sugar until foamy. Apply with a brush to the petals of the plant and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Place the plants prepared in this way on parchment and place in the oven over low heat. In two hours you can admire the beauty!

Ingredients:
a pinch of salt;
egg white.
Beat the egg white and a pinch of salt into a stiff foam using a mixer. Place this improvised snow on the meat and send it to the oven! Miracles: a chicken in a snowdrift!

I really hope that from these 20 artificial snow recipes you were able to choose the one that suits you.
