Drawing of a wooden slide. A simple way to make a slide for children with your own hands. Stages of construction of a wooden children's slide

On your suburban area There’s a lot of space, but there’s not much for the kids to do? This is not the point. If not a playground, then at first DIY slide for a child must be built. And this is within the power of any dad who can hold an instrument in his hands in the slightest degree.

What kind of slide should a child have?

First of all, a do-it-yourself slide for a child should be safe. Take care of the stability of the structure. Several children can climb the slide at once, and the structure needs to support their weight without shaking.

No sharp corners, protruding fasteners, rough edges, or gaps that could cause injury - this should be taken very seriously. The surface of the descent should be especially smooth.

Be sure to provide curbs along the edges of the gutter, a parapet at the top, and a railing on the stairs.

Think about where the child will land after sliding down the slide - it is better if it is sand, a lawn, densely overgrown with grass; you can even put mats on the kids to make them feel comfortable and safe.

Which material is preferable to use? First of all, harmless to the child, high-quality wood is best. We will consider the option of a design made of wooden building materials, and the slope can be finished with plastic or metal coating.

Slide for a child - stages of construction

So, the task for dad or grandfather is clear - a do-it-yourself slide for a child. Where to begin? First of all, decide on the location for the structure and its design, select materials and tools.

The place where the slide will be located should be clearly visible so that you can always see how your children ride and play.

It’s good if, during hot hours, a shadow falls on the hill from nearby trees. The structure should not be located near outbuildings or a garage.

Installation of supports

In order for a homemade slide for a child to be reliable, it is important to install stable supports.

Level the downhill area and make markings in the form of a square or rectangle. Using a garden auger, make indentations (optimally from 40 to 60 centimeters). Before installing the support bars, lubricate their ends with mastic. Concrete the installation site.

Using a level, level the supports and fasten them at an average height of 1.3-1.5 meters using cross beams, which are tightened with anchor bolts.

Making the escapement

Make a slope from the cross beams, the bottom of which must be driven into the ground and secured with metal brackets. The width of the slope is from 60 to 80 centimeters, and the angle of inclination is 55º.

Cover it with boards, build sides on the side, the height of which should be at least 30 centimeters. The finished frame of the ramp can be sanded and painted. And if you want a different coating, then sheets of plastic, galvanized steel, plywood, or linoleum will do.

The slope will be more slippery, and a slide made with your own hands will delight your child.

Construction of the stairs

In order for the staircase to be reliable, it is important to build the stringers correctly. A cross beam or 50mm edged board is suitable for this.

Secure the folded boards together using self-tapping screws. Using hand saw, make cuts for the steps according to the marks. Insert and secure the steps of the stairs, tighten the stringers with anchor bolts and locknuts.

The angle of inclination of the stairs depends on the age of the child. Older children are not afraid of steeper climbs. But in any case, railings on the stairs are required.

Mounting the upper platform

The top flooring is made of timber (the so-called stiffeners), which should be laid out parallel to each other and attached to the frame of the structure, and boards should be laid on top. You should leave a gap of 5 mm between them to allow water to drain when it rains.

Be sure to make a parapet on top platform from slats and cover it with plywood. Adjust the height of the fence depending on the height of the child.

Each structural element must be securely fastened so that a do-it-yourself slide for a child is safe and durable.
In this video, the author will share his experience of building a children's slide with his own hands:

To entertain and keep the kids occupied personal plot, while parents are busy with their “adult” affairs, you can install a swing, a sandbox and a slide. Wooden slide design for home or a dacha is quite simple and does not require expensive materials. Today we'll talk about how to make a slide for children with your own hands.

DIY slide for children: drawing

To calculate the quantity required material First of all, prepare a design diagram of the structure. You can draw the layout yourself or use it as a basis finished drawing from any source, adjusting the dimensions to your requirements.

When independently developing a layout take into account the following nuances:

  • child's age: for children from 1.5 to 4 years old, the height of the slide should be no more than 1.5 m; from 4 to 11 years – from 2 to 4 m;
  • the optimal length of the slide can be calculated using the formula: “height of the slide x 2”;
  • The angle of inclination of the slide should be within 40-55 degrees;
  • the height of steps and handrails is calculated depending on the height of children;
  • It is necessary to provide protective sides, the height of which at the launch site should be at least 60 cm, and at the descent - about 20 cm.

How to draw it yourself diagram? You can create your own drawing based on these photo:

Do-it-yourself wooden slide for children: manufacturing stages

Preparatory stage

First of all, based on the drawing, the required amount of basic material is purchased - boards, bars; auxiliary materials - self-tapping screws, wood varnish, paint. It is also necessary to prepare tools - a saw, a hammer, a screwdriver, a drill, a tape measure, a level, a plane.

IMPORTANT! Special attention it is necessary to pay attention to the wood - it must be dry, without visible defects. It is preferable to use wood coniferous trees. It is advisable to use self-tapping screws, bolts, and screws as fasteners, as nails may come out during operation and cause injury. .

Preparation of materials

  • First thing, sawing all wood parts, according to the drawing.
  • Then everything wooden parts it is necessary to get rid of knots and nicks and sand thoroughly to remove all defects.
  • To avoid rotting, bottom support pillars process resin, mastic for waterproofing, shale or anthracene oil, oily antiseptic.

Site and foundation preparation

The place where the slide will be installed must be carefully leveled, and the positions of the support pillars must be marked with a tape measure.

If you decide to put the slide not at home, but on summer cottage, follow following instructions. Using a garden auger dig holes about 60 cm deep, which will make the entire structure more resistant to weather conditions– soil freezing during severe frosts and getting wet during rainy periods.

In the resulting wells insert the pillars, leveling them using a level and filling them with concrete.

IMPORTANT! Z the descent path should be soft enough - covered with sand, or artificial grass, a rubber mat, in order to avoid injuries when completing the descent.

Assembling a wooden structure

  • in installed supports cut grooves. Their width should correspond to the width of the board that will make up the frame, and their depth should be about 2-3 cm;
  • a board is inserted into the grooves and the stand is tightened using self-tapping screws;
  • at the upper ends of the support pillars they are screwed on both sides cross beams which will serve as the railings of the launch pad;
  • two bars are screwed to the supports, to which the stairs and descent will be attached;
  • on top of these bars the floor of the launch pad is laid. Small gaps (2-3 mm) should be left between the boards to ensure the flow of rainwater and melted snow;
  • ladder being installed: the edges of two boards are cut at an angle of 45 degrees, they are screwed to the cross beam of the launch platform. These boards are fixed to each other using steps. Optimal step between the steps is 25-35 cm. Next, balusters are installed to which the railings are attached;
  • descent is being installed: the edges of two boards are cut at an angle of 45 degrees, they are screwed to the transverse beam of the landing platform opposite the stairs. These boards are fixed to each other using several cross beams secured with self-tapping screws. Plywood or long boards are laid on top of the cross beams, which will serve as the descent.

Final stage

After assembling the slide, you must carefully inspect all fasteners and check that all the caps are recessed into the wood.

Sand everything uneven surfaces, treat all wooden parts with an antiseptic and open them with varnish or paint. DIY summer slide for children ready! By the same principle, you can not only make a wooden slide for children in the apartment, but also on any street area .

IMPORTANT! Every spring, before using the slide, it is necessary to check all wooden components for chips, burrs, and cracks that could have occurred during winter period. If damage is found, sand it, cover it with an antiseptic and varnish or paint it.

Children's slide, swing, sandbox for the cottage. Wooden CHILDHOOD - with your own hands. July 28, 2011

I remembered... My little miracle began to grow, and as he grew older, I decided to stock up on heavy artillery in the form of a playground with all kinds of slides, ladders, ropes, and swings.
So the long process of creating a coniferous structure began.

Other photos

I devoted a week of my vacation to leveling the area,

So I buried four cubes of sand in a hole under the playground.

Of course, it’s not necessary to do this at all, and it’s not even worth it,

or at least just under the hill.

where the sandbox is supposed to be.

The child, of course, was warned in advance about his dad’s plans, but could not understand that this same dad had been rummaging around in the middle of the plot all week, digging up soil and scattering it all over the garden, but when the Kamaz arrived with sand, the whole family, headed by mom (everyone except dad ) ran joyfully around the mountain donated by the truck. Dad, meanwhile, was breathing heavily.

While dad was digging, he could play king of the hill.
The first sketch (diagram of the playground) was like this

Another diagram with the dimensions of the playground

She was given shine

It turned out that it was impossible to get onto the slide; there was no elevator, not even stairs. I started making a staircase, I didn’t seem to drink, apparently I don’t have to drink to get a drunken staircase.

And

We did not cover the house with boards on one side; we wanted to watch from the country window what the child was doing.
But over time we sewed up the wall.

Having screwed the basketball hoop on, I didn’t immediately realize that it was upside down.

The slide house was filled with furniture for comfort.

The ring was turned over.

After the sandbox appeared, a mountain of toys immediately fell into it.

We urgently need to make a pantry, namely a box.

Well, how can we do without a table, because on fresh air and eating and drawing is a nice thing.

After a snack, you can strain your brain a little and play chess or, for starters, checkers in the fresh air.

In winter, it turned out that it was possible to slide off the roof if large snowdrifts appeared below.

Now you can ride even in winter. Take the ice cube and go to the top.

All that remains is to install the lights, voila, now you can invite your friends to a dinner party, and then admire the stars.

A piece was cut out of the sides of the sandbox to make it easier to lick into it.

how he repeatedly hit his head against it. Beauty, of course, requires sacrifice, but not on the playground)

The slide has faded in the sun, so this year we painted it with oil paint instead of impregnation.

After we inserted multi-colored plexiglass.
Our windows have acquired a color: blue, yellow, orange - now the grass next to the hill is cheerful.

And looking through such windows the whole world becomes more cheerful.

Now the only thing missing is a climbing frame, so that you can climb closer to the stars,

watch them.

We urgently need to build a ladder to the roof

Five years have passed, the children have grown up and we decided to update our children's complex and increase the space of the house above the sandbox.
We had to shorten the height of the swing so that the difference in the floor of the extension would not be too different from the height of the floor of the house.

Due to the fact that the height of the swing was shortened, its amplitude also decreased (for aunts it’s not scary, but for adults it’s noticeable), it’s a pity, of course, but something had to be sacrificed (maybe we’ll find another place for the swing in the future).

Half of the roof was also dismantled in order to put it on new guides for the large roof.

Maybe on such a roof it will be possible to go down on ice in winter)

Part of the second half was also dismantled in order to increase the space; later we will insert a window into this space.

We painted the roof with new paint, this time not with wood impregnation, but with enamel, it turned out to be more durable

and already contains varnish at its core.

We lay the floor in our extension, then lay plywood on top of the boards,

so that sand does not fall on the heads of those who swing on the swings.

We cut out the grooves for the glass. One glass will remain in place, and the second will move away,

so that you could climb out of the window onto the roof.

All that remains is to make a handle on both sides of the sliding glass so that it can be opened from both sides

On the side we screw a support under the balcony, which is also a beam for attaching the rings and rope.

We hung a hammock in the extension as agreed.

On the other side of the house we install a second beam for the future balcony and mounting rope ladder or some kind of rocking chair

In order to be able to climb onto the balcony from below, we make a ladder.

Every 20 cm we make indentations for sticks. And fasten them with ties.

Painting the stairs in a bright color

The balcony frame is ready, all that remains is to lay the floor.

Lay the floor and make railings so that children do not fall out of the balcony.

You can get to the balcony either by stairs from the street or from the house through a sliding window.

You just need to make a ladder or steps that can be used as shelves, so as not to clutter up the space inside the house.

I really wanted to hang a round wicker swing under the balcony so that several people could swing at once, but there are none on sale.

We found it on a Chinese website, we are waiting for it to be delivered, but while we are waiting we decided to make something similar to a swing boat.

Steps appear from the house to climb onto the balcony from inside.

What a pity that there are only two weekends during which you can’t do everything.
To be continued

Our rocking chair was not very popular, as it is interesting to swing on it big company, but this doesn’t always happen.
I had to remove it and make a not so capacious swing from a tire.

Now that in our yard fun companies we hang a big rocking chair,
and on weekdays there is a tire swing.

But the other day we decided to make a winch lift for toys or sand, so that we could lift them to the balcony with interest.

Nothing brings more joy to a child than going down a slide. So why not put this play structure in your summer cottage so that children can climb on it whenever they want? Of course, it is easier to buy than to make. But there is no guarantee that manufacturers use high-quality materials to make slides and do not violate technology. Parents who think about the safety of their children take on the construction themselves.

Which slide to choose - metal or wooden?

The manufacture of slides mainly uses wood and metal. The selected material influences the manufacturing technology, because any construction raw material has its own characteristics.

Wooden slides in classic version built with an upper platform in the form of a house and comfortable steps. All parts of such slides are connected using fastening elements. Every detail must be polished so that the child does not get hurt. It is important that all boards used in construction are smooth and dry.

Metal slides usually look simpler: a small platform, a ladder made of pipes and a ramp. The supports for these elements of the structure are usually poured with concrete. Metal slides are most often painted.

Only those who know how to use a welding machine can undertake the creation of a metal slide. It is impossible to fuse metal parts without welding skills - in inexperienced hands, the material heated by welding will bend and become unsuitable for construction.

A table will help you make a choice in favor of one material or another, indicating the pros and cons of using metal and wood when building a slide:

Wooden slide Metal slide
Advantages
Wood - traditional material, which is convenient to handle and cutThe metal slope of the slide will not deteriorate during operation
Wood products are environmentally friendlyThe structure will stand securely - no element will move away or become loose
The slope of the wooden slide is always warm, despite the cold weatherThe slide will remain in its original form, even when the child grows up
Flaws
Wood is susceptible to rotting and drying outThe metal is subject to strong heating in summer and cooling in winter.
Mold may appear on woodIt is better for children to ride on an iron slide school age, since small children may accidentally be injured by hitting sharp corner structures
The wooden slope gets wet and therefore becomes deformed.Metal slide, design decoration which has limited capabilities, the child can quickly get bored

The listed disadvantages of wooden slides can be combated if you periodically cover the wooden parts of the slide with special protective equipment and varnish.

The choice is yours. But manufacturers offer to purchase slides, some parts of which are made of metal, and others of wood. Thanks to the combination different materials, the game design seems more interesting.

Ideas for creating slides

Creative design of a wooden slide Wooden slide under the roof Wooden slide with metal slope Wooden slide with a large platform and stairs on both sides Metal slide under the roof Low metal slide for young children Simple metal slide This structure has a simple wooden slope Thanks to the curved bars, this slide looks unusual

Step-by-step production of a wooden slide

Any construction begins with the execution of drawings. They will tell you what materials, in what quantities, will be needed, and most importantly, they will give a clear idea of the scale of the work. These drawings should reflect the dimensions of the base, descent and stairs of the structure.

A simple wooden slide with a long slope

The height of this structure is 3 meters, the length of the slope is 6 meters. The site is located at a distance of 2 meters from the ground. The length of the handrails, which are attached to the structure on the sides of the descent, depends on these numbers.

But if a wooden slide is being built for a child under 4 years old, then you need to sketch out on paper a drawing of a small structure with a short slope and a ladder of a couple of steps.

Among the tools you will need to arm yourself with a drill, saw, screwdriver and shovel. At the very beginning of the work you will need sandpaper, and upon completion - stain and color emulsion. Instead of paint, you can use wood varnish.

Necessary materials

To build a wooden slide, you need to purchase the following materials:

  • 8 boards;
  • 4 thick beams 0.6 meters long and one 2 times thinner 0.8 m long;
  • Several sheets of plywood;
  • 2 round wooden profiles.

Instructions

  1. The process of building a slide should begin by cutting all wooden elements, while being guided by the drawing. Bars and boards need to be sanded sandpaper, and then round off the sharp corners;
  2. Now it’s time to make markings on the ground and drill holes in the ground to install the bases of the beams in them. The bars will not move from their place during the operation of the slide if their base is filled with concrete;
  3. Taking a saw, you need to create recesses at the top of the posts. They are needed for fixing planed boards. The supports must be attached to each other using self-tapping screws. The structure will become reliable after cross bars or, in other words, sides are attached to it, preventing the child from falling off the slide;
  4. To almost finished building You can screw two bars onto self-tapping screws, to which the ladder and the ramp are attached. After this, you can lay floorboards on a small slide area and fix them with self-tapping screws. It is advisable to lay floorboards at a short distance from each other. Thanks to gaps of only a few mm, the wooden floor will dry out well if it gets wet by rain or snow;
  5. Then you can make the sides for the stairs. To do this, the edges of two boards must be cut down, positioning the saw at an angle of 45 degrees. These boards are attached to the racks, and then smaller boards - steps - are fixed to them;
  6. The gap between steps must be calculated in advance. If the distance is too large or too small, it will be difficult for children to climb up. A comfortable step for climbing stairs is 35 cm +/- 5 cm;
  7. At first, the slope is created in the same way as a staircase, but instead of boards, sheets of plywood tightly pushed together are placed on the sides. WITH reverse side they are fixed wooden slats using screws;
  8. Lastly, the structure is coated with varnish or color emulsion. Wood and plywood must be treated, otherwise they will deteriorate under the influence of moisture, thereby reducing the service life of the slide.

Step-by-step instructions for creating a children's metal slide

Preparation: drawings and tools

One of the main tasks is to make a drawing of a future structure for children's games.

This slide is designed for older children

To work with metal you will need welding machine and pipe bender. The parts bent by it are needed to create a railing on the top platform of the slide. Although to make a simple metal slide you can do without them.

List of materials

To make a simple metal slide you will need:

  1. Galvanized sheets or stainless steel;
  2. Metal square profile pipes;
  3. Metal round pipes;
  4. Special corners.

To make a slide, you should choose metal with a thickness of 3 mm. Suitable size square profiles - 3x50x50 mm and 2x25x50 mm.

Stages of work

  • First, you need to place four metal profile pipes in holes dug in the ground. Then you need to weld a smaller pipe to their tops, which will serve as a support for the base of the platform. Following this, handrails and stiffening ribs must be welded to the structure;

Railing - required element metal slide that protects children from accidental falls. There should be no jumper posts on them.

  • The next step is welding guides for the future staircase and ramp to the structure. Later, metal sheets are attached to the base of the platform and the sliding surface by welding;
  • Now we need to weld short profile pipes to the ladder guides, which will become steps. The second and subsequent pipes must be welded every 17.5 cm. With such a gap, the child will be able to easily free a leg that is stuck between the steps while playing;
  • All that remains is to add handrails to the stairs, covering the distance from them to the guides with sheets of metal. All existing corners must be rounded to avoid injury to the child. The protruding edges of the pipes can be “closed” with hemispherical plugs.

Video instruction

Thus, the main advantage of a wooden slide is ease of manufacture, while metal structures are durable. To create a wooden play structure, you will need to sand, saw and screw the boards. Installation of a metal slide is based on the use of a welding machine.

The entire structure is made of chipboard, the upper platform for rigidity is reinforced with wooden slats and an additional stand made of metal pipe. As usually happens during the process of construction and operation, many nuances are revealed that were not taken into account in the project, but which are worth describing so that readers can avoid the author’s mistakes. I am writing this article a couple of weeks after the start of operation and therefore I already know all my mistakes and shortcomings, which of course will also be mentioned.

This Homemade product was made at home, using improvised tools that most home craftsmen have. Ideally, it would be to use an electric jigsaw, but in the absence of one, I made do with a hacksaw, and made the circles using a screwdriver attachment and coarse sandpaper (P40). The list of tools and materials below can be both shortened and expanded. But still, the more you have different instruments, the easier it will be for you in the process of making any Homemade Crafts.

So let's break it:

Materials and tools:

1. Wood saw
2. Ruler
3. Pencil
4. Knife
5. File
6. Shilo
7. Screwdriver or drill with sanding attachment
8. Drill set
9. Forstner drill 30mm
10. Roulette
11. Square (I didn’t have one, but I really wanted one)
12. Hacksaw for metal
13. Pliers
14. Hexagon set
15. Chipboard
16. Wooden slats
17. Shovel handle
18. Metal tube
19. Steel corners
20. Wood screws
21. PVA glue
22. Euroscrews
23. Bolts with cage nuts
24. Decorative plastic tape for the ends of chipboard

Detailed manufacturing description:

Step 1: As a material for the DIY, I used a former chipboard door (2 pcs). And the fastening elements were purchased. Since I don’t know how to make drawings and normal design, the entire structure was built by eye. I made individual marks and measurements that needed to be taken directly on the floor on the tiles. I also estimated the width of the slide and the height of the sides by eye, guided by the size of the target child, who is three years old)))

So, we take the door, remove everything unnecessary from it, saw off the edges where there are holes from the handle and hinges. We make two sides 25x160 cm and the main plane of the slide 37x160 cm. During operation, there were no complaints about the dimensions of the structure.

I initially “fit” the slide into a shelf that already existed in the apartment, so I only needed to make the slide’s chute and the ladder, as well as strengthen the shelf itself and its fastenings so that it could support the weight of the child. But first things first.

Step 2: Having marked the height of the shelf (74 cm) on the floor, I made a template according to which I sawed off the corners on the sides, where the sides would rest on the floor. It’s better, of course, to calculate such things or at least measure them using a protractor, but due to inability and lack of knowledge, you can do it this way.

Step 3: At this stage, I selected the diameters of the holes for the Euroscrews and bolts with cage nuts. They are different in the two surfaces being connected. I also tried the attachment on a screwdriver, which is used to recess the heads of screws and euroscrews. Well, I experimented with a Forstner drill, which I used to make holes for the steps near the ladder. Working with this drill turned out to be not so easy... first of all, I drilled through holes with a small drill, and then then made a hole required diameter with a Forstner drill, but not all the way through, but about half the thickness of the chipboard, and then turned the chipboard over and made a second, counter hole on the reverse side. If you drill straight through, then inside Chipboard produces an extremely unsightly exit hole.

In general, the holes for the steps should not be drilled through, and the steps should not be inserted into the hole, but into a recess in the chipboard. It would have turned out even cuter. And then it turned out that the Forstner drill was not intended for through holes at all)))

Step 4: We drill holes for the Euroscrews and assemble the slide gutter. In the front plane the diameter of the hole is 6.5 mm, and in the inner plane it is 4.5 mm.

In the lower part, for reliability, I reinforced the structure with steel corners every 35 cm. Perhaps the corners here are even superfluous, but I decided to play it safe, after all, in children's structures, as in aviation - reliability should be two to three times higher than calculated, and safety systems should duplicate. It is better, as they say, to be overcautious than to be underdressed.

Step 5: Now we round all the corners, sand the rough edges and stick plastic tape on the ends. At first I used a rubber band with treads on the plane, but this turned out to be inconvenient, since the child’s hands must slide along the sides when he rolls down, and the rubber has too good a grip.

The easiest way to round corners is with an electric jigsaw, but in the absence of one, a screwdriver helped me again. First, I measured 7 cm from the corners in each direction and drew a smooth curve with a pencil. Then I sawed off the corners with a hacksaw, and finished off the rest with a screwdriver and a sanding attachment. I used coarse sandpaper P40.

You also need to make a cutout so that the slide fits tightly with the upper platform. We do this with the same tool: a hacksaw and a grinding attachment on a screwdriver.

After the failure of experiments with a specially purchased rubber band for the ends, I decided to use the tape that I cut from the doors from which I am making a slide. It should first be cleaned of old glue and then glued. I glued it to some unknown PVC glue, the result seemed normal, but I would advise using Titan glue - it is both more reliable and easier to work with.

Step 6: Let's start making the ladder.
Since I only had two doors, I had to use a piece of chipboard with holes from the handle and lock for one of the staircase posts. I left these holes in the most inconspicuous and hard to reach place, additionally taping it on both sides so that the child does not have the opportunity to stick his finger there.

Let me note once again that the holes for the steps in my Homemade product are not designed in the best way. It is better if they are not end-to-end!!!

Step 7: I made the steps for the ladder from a birch cutting from a shovel. The width of the steps turned out to be 30 cm, during operation it turned out that this was not enough, it would be better to make 35 cm and this height would be enough three steps. Four steps of 30 cm are also, in principle, normal, but I would still recommend three of 35.

For beauty, you can cover them with stain or paint them. I coated it with clear varnish to preserve the wood texture.

Step 8: The main fasteners for the slide gutter and ladder are wood screws screwed into the walls of the gypsum plasterboard structure and steel strips for fastening to the upper platform. As a backup safety system, I made hooks from chipboard, which are fixed with steel corners to the upper platform and bolts with cage nuts to the sides of the stairs and slide. I will not describe for a long time the order and process of their production, since everything is quite clear in the photographs.

When installing it directly in the room, it turned out that the bolts were sticking out a little, which under no circumstances should be allowed to happen. I had to saw off 3 mm from each of the six bolts. And it turned out to be the most the hard part throughout Samodelka. The problem was that I didn’t have a vice, a hacksaw, or a grinder. I only found a disc from an angle grinder, which I installed on the attachment of a screwdriver. And as a vice I used a bedside table in which I had to drill a hole. Now it’s funny to remember, but next time I’ll still prepare the instrument in advance so as not to repeat such experiments.

Step 9: Final.
I reinforced the top shelf with 30 mm thick blocks. I smeared the bars with PVA glue and screwed them with self-tapping screws every 10 cm. Also, to the existing five plastic corners To attach the shelf to the walls, I added six steel angles and a metal pipe stand in the center. Some will say that this is too much, but I think it’s just right. For children, you need to make sure it doesn’t break, and then strengthen it twice more.
