Jigsaw into table upside down. DIY jigsaw machine - drawings and video details. A simple design from the last century

Before this, the jigsaw was used only in rough cutting areas or for cutting sheet material. I worked with large saws several times and each time I wondered why they were needed at all, if they were always taken away decently. But if you place a jigsaw on a table, its functionality increases significantly. It turns out that a jigsaw can replace (as far as possible) a circular saw, band saw, grinding machine for delicate work. I saw the design on a blog markellov why should he Thanks a lot! I placed my version on a folding workbench. Table size 36x36 cm. The table itself is made of 12 mm plywood. The machine is completely disassembled and stored in a closet. The guide is fixed with 2 wing screws.

Blocks under the table for fixing the entire device to the workbench, and also allow you to place fasteners for the upper guide support.

The jigsaw is fixed to the table with just one screw. To do this, I chose a quarter of the thickness of the platform in an oak block. In the other block, the quarter was made at an angle of more than 90 degrees and the platform fits into it with a wedge, so displacement during work in all 4 directions is excluded.

I saw it on the net Incredible quality of workmanship table, but for this you need to try very, very hard. There are also ready the solution is with the bourgeoisie, but as I understand it, it’s most likely for some very special people minor works. The top guide bracket is height adjustable to accommodate different blades. I thought for a long time about how to make it with a high degree of rigidity and at the same time avoid its bulkiness. Since the device itself does not have side walls that could serve as a support for the bracket, I had to tinker a little. There is a pine block in the center, a T-shaped steel profile is screwed to it and the whole thing is covered with 12 mm plywood, which provides rigidity to the upper guide. This is what ended up happening.

A unit for fixing the edge of the blade, like in a band saw, allows you to work with long blades without moving to the side. The option with bearings initially seemed to me the most workable, but then I still chose the option with oak guides. On wide blades like band saws, the use of bearings is more justified, but here it is more convenient to adjust the gap between the blades by moving inserts like these.

The result is a fairly compact machine for small sawing jobs. Now you can cut cabrioles too. The height of the cut depends on the length of the blade.

P.S.: MAIN, what needs to be taken into account when working with a jigsaw in this position is the tossing of the part during operation, since the saw teeth in this case “look” up. It is necessary to fix the part from above, like in sewing machines. In my case, the bracket lowers and the lower part of the guide assembly prevents the workpiece from jumping. Perhaps over time I will make a fixing foot.

I didn’t want to permanently place my expensive Makita jigsaw on the table, so I decided to buy another one to create a table. I was very lucky to find a jigsaw in the “Our House” store Caliber LEM-610E for only 862 rub. Includes: wood saw, side stop, adapter for vacuum cleaner, spare brushes for the motor.

There was an outlet next to the display case and I looked at it in action. It is quite well made, convenient, there is a speed control with a wheel, and the activation is fixed with a button. The saw holder moves smoothly without any play.

It’s very fortunate that I was able to twirl it in my hands before buying it; I wouldn’t risk ordering it from the Vseistrumenty.ru website without knowing what it is. (Although they write good reviews about it) By the way, it costs more there and there is also a delivery fee... so I successfully bought it at Our House. :)

Despite its advantages, it has a number of disadvantages that I noticed upon closer examination:

1) The file does not fit into the saw holder. Apparently this is a defective copy, but I did not waste my time on the exchange. Each file has to be sharpened. (Although I won’t be able to use them on the second jigsaw after grinding - it doesn’t matter, they are relatively inexpensive)
2) And this flaw is visible even in the picture. The canvas is tilted strongly forward. (This was also corrected by placing under back soles of tin strips, achieving 90 o.
3) The speed control wheel turns heavily, not very clearly and with jamming. At the minimum speed value, the tool cannot start at all (However, the same garbage with the start is also true for my other “calibrated” drills. This is unpleasant, but does not spoil life much)

As always, everything is in the spirit of minimalism. I did not make a separate switch. It is quite convenient to turn on with a standard button and lock into place.

To do this, I bought a bracket at KrepMarket (this is a fastening element from some kind of system iron structures)

By the way, I really love CrepeMarket. Any screws, nuts, screws, fasteners. Every time I design something, I wander around in thought and collect the necessary details.

I cut off the excess and sharpened it.

Back view. Now the distance between the bearings has a fixed clearance for the file of 1.2mm. I have a plan for the future: to make a gap adjustment.

For thin materials can be lowered below.

As an experiment, I drew a star and tried to cut it out evenly

For a 130mm file, the maximum possible thickness is 5cm. It turns out there are very long files; I recently saw a 300mm file on the market

I sawed off a 1.5mm slice from a 40x40mm block

Which is what I did. Now you can use it to cut long workpieces 11.5 cm wide. The old L-shaped design also remains, and if greater strength of the holder is needed, it can be installed again, although the new design remains quite strong and reliable.

I also came up with the idea of making a knife from an old dull file, grinding off its teeth and sharpening it.

They can be used to cut material like sealant into shapes. The cut is smooth. Much better than stationery knife. The photo shows a mouse pad.

Well, that's probably all. The table turned out to be reliable and comfortable. Now I have a tool with which I can perform more delicate work than with a circular saw.

Any man can make a jigsaw table with his own hands, even without special carpentry skills. Since a mains powered jigsaw is integral part any farm, it will need working space. Such a device significantly speeds up the work time, and also allows it to be carried out efficiently, clearly and quickly.

However, we should not forget that to achieve the most highest quality only possible through correct use this tool, that is, by placing it on a jigsaw table.

A stationary device will allow you to turn your tool into a mini-machine, thanks to which you can make a wide variety of patterns.

Jigsaw

A DIY electric jigsaw table has many advantages. In particular, that pick up everything necessary tools for this product it is possible without problems. Important condition– surface rigidity and evenness. Therefore, it is best to opt for a material such as plywood. But the boards should not be thin, as they may warp. Therefore, it is best to take waterproof laminated plywood about 1 cm thick.

Workbench-drawing Box for jigsaw

You can take particle board, which is somewhat thicker than plywood and also stiffer. But most suitable option there will be a high-quality laminate-covered kitchen countertop. The only disadvantage of this material is the poor attachment of tools to the material, so you will have to carefully select fasteners. The main advantage of particle board is its availability - you can place an order for all the necessary elements in any workshop. In this case, stop the choice at a thickness of about two cm.

Table for a jigsaw (dimensions) Place the jigsaw on a tabletop made of 12 mm laminated plywood and screw a chipboard base to it. Attach the base flush with the left edge of the tabletop. Make small indentations on other sides to strengthen the equipment
We make a couple of holes on the bracket for the bearings. We bolt the L-shaped structure to the base of the table with a piece of thick hardboard. Durable L-shaped structure, rear view
Workflow Now the jigsaw blade does not bend, even when cutting parts from a thick sheet of wood

A DIY metal table is an alternative to wood. The only difficulty is that finding a suitable metal part is somewhat difficult - it must not only be smooth, but also carefully processed. In addition, it will be difficult to make holes for fastenings in such a part. If you watch the video and arm yourself with a drill, everything will be much easier.

At the same time, you should stock up with a simple pencil(it’s better to take a soft one so that it is brighter), a ruler or tape measure, a screwdriver, a drill, self-tapping screws. In addition, we will need a square with which we will mark the product, and also use it at the last stage of assembly. At the last stage, fiolent tape and bearings will not be superfluous.

How the process works

In order to construct a basic table, you must prepare drawings. A correctly drawn or selected diagram will make your work much easier. Use a plywood board up to one cm wide as a work space. If the elements are small, you can take a smaller board. At the same time, step back up to twenty cm from the edges and make several holes. Don't forget to mark the places for fastenings at the bottom of the board.

If the jigsaw stand does not have holes, they must be made in four copies. Using the prepared marks, make holes in the plywood. Please note that steel legs must be attached to the board. In this case, the height of the legs depends on the body of the device itself. In this case, the planks are bent at an angle of 90 degrees. To do this, holes are made for fasteners. The device is secured under the plywood element so that the saw looks out through the hole.

Such an ordinary table can be installed on the same workbench or desktop. At the same time, such a table does not need legs, but is fixed at the edges of the workbench. The device should be outside the table. This product attaches perfectly to wood pieces up to three cm thick.

As you can see, making such a table for a jigsaw is not at all difficult. All you need is a little attention and concentration. And, of course, do not forget to strictly adhere to the scheme.

How to make a jigsaw table

If you want to make a table for a regular jigsaw, the process will be much easier, since you won't have to bother preparing your workbench for mains power. First, cut out a blank for the tabletop from plywood.

Don't forget to prepare the holes with a drill into which the screws will be screwed.

In the corners of the future structure there will be squares of plywood, which will add rigidity. Prepare the holes so that the jigsaw fits freely into them. The tabletop is attached using self-tapping screws. Don't forget to cut holes for the cutlery in the upper part of the future table. Please note that a parallel stop is fixed in the tabletop; for this, self-tapping screws are driven into the holes. That's all. The most primitive table for a jigsaw is ready.

Wood products and people involved in the manufacture of modern household items from such a modern and environmentally friendly pure material, more and more appear every year. Every craftsman who works with delicate parts must have a compass table. But not everyone can afford such an expensive pleasure.

Circular table diagram.

You can make a professional table for a circular table from an ordinary one. wooden table and a jigsaw, which every woodworker has.

What does a jigsaw circular look like and what is inside it?

A jigsaw machine will be useful not only for an experienced woodworker, but also to an ordinary person who loves making things with his own hands. Having such a table at hand, you can easily cut out a complex curved contour without violating its integrity. A DIY circular saw made from a jigsaw can handle drywall and plastic just as easily as chipboard, fiberboard and plywood.

The use of such a table has become popular in furniture and music production due to the ability to cut complex parts. The saw, placed on the working surface of the table, has a crank mechanism and an electric motor, which are located below. The mechanism for tensioning the saw can be located not only below, but also on top of the working surface.

Assembly diagram of the front part of the table.

There are certain features of working with a compass table. For correct processing its parts need to be placed on the surface of the table and, turning the saw at different angles, make the cutting. Circular with rotating mechanism and guide stops is very convenient and easy to use. The length of the cut directly depends on the length of the table. The power of the engine installed on a machine for small production or amateur use in the garage is sufficient within the range of 100-150 W.

It is important for a circular table to have a high-quality crank mechanism that can ensure the movement of the saw.

Typically, sold jigsaw machines use mechanisms with a working range of motion of 3-5 cm and an oscillation frequency of 1000 per minute. The presence of speed control allows you to work with different materials and make cuts 10 cm deep. Saws for such machines are used different sizes depending on the required cutting thickness. Maximum length installed saws - 35 cm.

With the help of screw and spring springs, the required dust tension along the entire length is easily achieved. If this is not done, the nail file will easily break, despite its thickness and width. Almost all models are equipped with a compressor for cleaning the working surface with air. For an additional fee, you can buy a machine with an installed block for drilling holes, which greatly facilitates the work of the master. With such a pre-installed unit, you no longer have to be distracted by searching for a drill: everything can be done on one table.

How to make a machine from a regular jigsaw with your own hands?

Scheme of work on a circular table.

There are many options for circular tables made with your own hands from a jigsaw. Before you start making such a table, it is recommended to look at examples of the work of other craftsmen and decide on the functions that your device should have. There is no need to seriously modernize the jigsaw; it can easily cope with the role of the crank mechanism and the main drive.

For faster installation of a professional table, you can contact the manufacturers and order a ready-made platform. But such platforms are standard and are not suitable for everyone. No one but you can assemble a table to suit your needs.

First you need to take care of the table itself. It is better to make it reliable and durable from metal. On the surface you need to do oblong hole under the saw. It is recommended to make the holes for fastening the jigsaw secret at the bottom of the table itself.

In case you plan to use a homemade circular table Often, it is better to install stops and guide rails on the work surface for faster and more comfortable work.

In order not to be distracted from work when you need to make a hole, it is better to equip the table with a drilling unit. This design, when installed correctly, allows you to disconnect the jigsaw from the table at any moment and use it for its intended purpose.

If you very often use a jigsaw in manual mode, then it is better to get another copy of it for the table. Otherwise, you will constantly have to spend effort on removal and installation. The cost of a high-quality jigsaw is not that high, so you will get a professional table much cheaper than a factory one.

The only drawback of the jigsaw machine made is the absence of a tension spring. Because of this, the homemade unit is significantly limited in cutting out curved lines. But this problem can be solved quite simply, you just need to make a rocker arm attached on one side to the file and on the other to the tension springs.

There is another way to solve the problem of saw tension using 2 guide rollers. But the first method is much more reliable, so it is not advisable to invent something new. Before using your new circulation table, be sure to turn off the pendulum action of your jigsaw.

Don’t be afraid to experiment, and your professional table made from a manual jigsaw will be several times better and cheaper than what you bought in a store. A factory-designed desk will never be as comfortable because it is made for everyone, not for your personal needs. And, in order to protect yourself from extra costs to remake a purchased item, don’t be afraid to make your own. After all, something made with your own hands will never let you down and will be easy to use and repair.

Today I want to tell you how to make a jigsaw table with your own hands. Perhaps some will say: why can you saw on any table? With such success, we can ask: why use an electric jigsaw, after all, you can cut it with an ordinary, manual one.

When you cut with a jigsaw, you move the file to the side. I looked on the Internet and initially I wanted a band saw, there is no way to buy one, and making one is very difficult and expensive. So I decided to make a table for an electric jigsaw.

First of all, let's decide on the material for the table and its size.

I found chipboard in the garage, so I’ll use it to make a table and a lid for it. I will make the bar itself from profile pipe the size of which is 25 × 25 × 25, height 110 mm, length 515 mm, length of perpendicular corner 20 mm.

For the part of the device where the saw clamp is located, in other words the lock, I used two bearings. I secured the metal bar with a “lamb” so that it would be possible to adjust the level of elevation in height of the part that we are cutting off.

Let's move on to making the table. Table size: length 540 mm, width 400 mm, base 435 mm, depth 350 mm. and height 250mm.

I attached a jigsaw under the table with screws and washers. I left the front part of the table open so there should be access so that, if necessary, you can replace the file, adjust the speed or amplitude, in a word, to make different settings for the jigsaw. Of course, in the future I plan to improve the table by adding doors to it, this is not only for aesthetics, but then the noise will be reduced.

For greater convenience when cutting, I made a ruler-stop. I made it small because when we drink at the table special effort not included (compared to a circular saw, where you need a stronger ruler to cut the parts evenly). The structure of the ruler is very simple; here I used an 8-inch furniture nut, and on the other side a screw that can be easily tightened with a screwdriver. You can screw it to the table manually, but if we do this with a screwdriver it will be more reliable.

The ruler moves freely on the table, which is convenient when cutting.

The table-machine for the jigsaw is ready, you see there is nothing complicated in its manufacture.
