The market is literally flooded with cheap Chinese and Turkish products and entry into it is not possible. On the one hand, this is true. But on the other hand, nothing is impossible.

In fact, the oversaturation of such a segment has virtually no effect on demand - especially if you choose the right direction of production, because clothing is an essential commodity.

Secondly, many novice entrepreneurs who refuse to produce knitwear, fearing competition and dumping prices on the part of the same Chinese or Turkish manufacturers, they forget that they also have certain limits of capabilities and prices will never fall below the cost level (which in itself is extremely rare), and most likely, even the cheapest products include a considerable percentage net profit. So the knitting industry also has considerable profitability potential.

However, before opening a factory for the production of knitwear, you should carefully consider what exactly will be produced and how. The point is that there are several basic rules, following which, a novice entrepreneur does not risk going broke due to illiterate and ill-considered actions.

The first rule of the knitwear business is: make things as simple as possible. The fact is that the production of multi-component products, as a rule, is technologically complex, that is, it requires expensive equipment, and in addition, it may be difficult for a beginner to understand: supplying many multiple raw materials, purchasing different units technology, the parameters of which can confuse even a technically savvy person, the requirements for knowledge of the assortment and the market - all these factors can confuse anyone.

Another thing is a plant or factory that works with the same raw materials and produces a small range of products: no extensive knowledge or special training is required, everything is immediately understandable and clear, and what is unclear soon comes with experience.

Rule two of the knitwear business says: try to concentrate the entire technological chain in your hands, so as not to depend on suppliers, and preferably, on buyers. It is clear that in many cases, including the same knitwear, it is simply impossible to do this right away: this will require large one-time costs, the acquisition or arrangement of an agricultural complex or a chemical plant, etc. However, we still need to strive for this - all large corporations started this way: gradually absorbing producers of raw materials and crushing the sales market - chain stores, etc.

The third rule of the knitwear business: the main thing is not a large assortment; You should start a knitwear production business with the best-selling and most liquid, that is, quickly selling products. This rule is perhaps one of the most difficult to implement. To comply with it, you should carefully monitor market trends and be sensitive to changes in demand conditions. At the same time, in the production of clothing and other knitted goods there is such a nuance: usually the style, texture and fashion trends change once a year, and preferences color range– approximately once every six months. So, during this time, you must be ready to reprogram (or retrofit) the equipment to produce other products and purchase the necessary assortment of fabric dyes (threads).

Since you will have to compete mainly with Chinese manufacturers, you need to understand what exactly brings their products such success. This, of course, is the low price of the products, due to the low cost of labor and Chinese-made equipment. Regarding the labor force, our country, of course, simply cannot keep up with China, but it is more than possible to buy equipment for the production of knitwear produced in this country.

In this case, the first factor (labor) can be ignored: it is compensated by import customs duties, while the enterprise you open will be local, not subject to such duties, and often having some tax benefits.

To optimize the knitwear production process and maximize the lengthening of the production chain, you should purchase not only production equipment finished products, but also equipment for the production of raw materials. In the first case, the knitted fabric is cut according to patterns in the same way as fabric, taking into account the direction of the loop columns, the location of the pattern, etc. This method is mainly used for the production thin products(T-shirts). With the regular method, the parts are knitted along the contour similar to hand knitting. The semi-regular method is something between cut and semi-regular: simplest coupons are knitted geometric shapes followed by trimming, this method is mainly used in the production of cheap mass products and workwear. Most knitting factories in Russia, Turkey and China produce knitwear using the semi-regular method. The whole-knitted method allows you to knit a completely finished product on a knitting machine, which minimizes manual labor in production, but has a very high cost product development and great limitations on the weaves and shapes used. Each method has its own characteristics and, therefore, each corresponds to certain sewing processing methods.

It should be noted that each of the technologies used requires different equipment for knitting production, for example, for the semi-regular method, cutting equipment is required; machines for the regular method must be equipped with a comb and a thread trimming system; for solid knitted products, special wide machines are used, equipped with needles with an increased head size for knitting through a needle.
