As for placement, in the sleeping area it is better to place the bed near the window opening. In this case, it is advisable to replace ordinary curtains with short, light curtains and blinds.

When arranging a kitchen, preference should be given to multifunctional sets made of light glossy materials. The light reflected from such surfaces will fill the space with air, creating the illusion of a spacious room.

In the corner part of the kitchen area you can place soft sofa chick and rounded dining table.

To separate the kitchen and guest areas, it is possible to use a compact wooden partition, which will serve as an installation for television equipment.

By placing a small soft sofa and a compact table in the guest area, you can organize a cozy space for receiving guests and having a good time.

Bright accessories, aquariums, and elegant paintings that match the style of the interior will help bring dynamics and individuality into the interior composition.

We present you a new design project one room studio from Int2. Despite the fact that the studio is only 40 sq. m, everything you need fits here: a spacious kitchen, a relaxation area, a full sleeping area with drawers for storing linen and even a bar counter. As always, the guys presented a magnificent color scheme and unusual design ideas.

Design project for a studio apartment of 40 sq. m. from Int2

The main task was to create a beautiful and functional design interior design of a one-room studio, taking into account the minimum area of the apartment and a fairly reasonable cost of the project. The studio interior is only 40 sq. m. m. The single space of a one-room apartment is functionally divided into a living room, sleeping area and kitchen. The entire interior is designed in light gentle tones with bright accents on individual details.

Design of a one-room studio apartment began with the installation of a central partition, into which a bar counter and cabinets were later installed. This functional element was simply necessary in the room. In addition to visually dividing the room into a cooking area, a dining area and a relaxation area, there is a TV on it. This made it possible to place the sofa against the wall and not in the center of the room. The TV is equipped with a swivel arm, a mechanism that allows you to rotate the screen towards a chair or in reverse side to the bed.

The walls in the living room and bedroom area are made of white decorative brick. This gives them texture and perfectly decorates the space. A lot of light wood was also used. This is a wonderful material that always harmonizes with white.

Living room combined with kitchen in a one-room apartment of 40 sq.m.

Despite the fact that this is a studio, the living room is somewhat separated from the kitchen. It cannot be said that this is a separate room, and at the same time, almost the entire cooking area is hidden from view. In the living room area, the bar counter is decorated with multi-colored boards, combined into an unusual geometric pattern. Above the bar counter there was a kind of window into the kitchen, so bar stools were placed on both sides.

Brick-like walls go perfectly with a sofa in “wet asphalt” color. Above the sofa is an animalistic poster with an owl. The white-gray palette is diluted with delicate and pastel shades turquoise, blue, pink and yellow. Near the wall you can see a screen made of boards painted in the colors of the room and supporting the geometric theme. As additional lighting, on the side of the sofa you can see an unusual designer floor lamp. By the way, the sofa is folding. This made it possible to create two additional beds.

Kitchen in a one-room studio
Kitchen design in a studio of 40 sq. m is in harmony with other zones. The kitchen is designed in light colors. The main color is white, a lot of light wood. Bright accents can be seen on the wall. The geometric pattern in turquoise and yellow echoes the yellow carpet on the floor and light turquoise bar stools.

The lighting of the area is mainly represented by built-in spotlights white. Just above the tabletop, as an additional source, there were three Edison light bulbs on long white cords. In the center of the wall is a painting of a deer in monochrome colors. The refrigerator is built into the closet, next to it is a built-in washing machine.

The hood above the stove is also built into top cabinet. The cabinets themselves reach to the ceiling, and there is workspace lighting from below. On the left edge there are beautiful light wood shelves with snow-white porcelain dishes. There is a magnetic knife holder on the apron.

From the kitchen there is access to the loggia.

The main goal of the project was to accommodate functional areas with space for additional storage in a small area. The bar counter in the center of the room plays several functions. On one side there is a dining area with cabinets and shelves underneath. kitchen items and dishes, and on the other there is a partition on which the TV conveniently fits. In addition, on the bar counter you can see a whole bunch of design elements and interesting details. For example, a shelf for bottles and dishes found its place under the counter. At the bottom of the counter is a storage cabinet. There are several shelves on the edge of the partition. In addition, there is an additional folding shelf on the kitchen side, and the wall is decorated in the style chalk board various inscriptions. Above the counter there is a cabinet with holders for glasses. From the edge on the wall designer lamp on a wooden base.

The sleeping area in the studio project is 40 sq. m. m

Organization of a sleeping area in the interior of a 40 sq. m studio. m (photo below) is made quite unusual. Instead of traditional partitions, the designers used a curtain, and the bed was raised onto a podium. This not only visually, but also functionally separated the sleeping area from the rest of the room.

Even though there is no window in the bedroom, the room is filled with natural light. Due to large window in the living area, in the bedroom there is enough natural light. There is especially enough light if you open the curtains. By the way, all the cornices in the house are hidden under wooden beams.

Additional lighting, as in the kitchen, is obtained from several lamps without lamps hanging freely on wires.

One of the main problems of small apartments is the lack of storage space, so in this project the partitions are “thickened” and turned into wardrobes, and the bed is raised onto a podium. Under the podium there are quite deep drawers. This is additional storage space for bulky items (such as blankets, pillows, bedding, etc.).

On the side of the bed there is a small hatch in which you can also store things or bed linen. This is not the first time designers from Int2 have used this technique. Another interior of a one-room studio with a similar solution you can look at .

Bathroom interior

Interior of a bathroom combined with a toilet also made in gray and white tones. Yellow accents dilute the colors. On the edge of the sink - built-in wall hung toilet. Located above the toilet unusual picture with a monkey. Just like the rest of the paintings in the house, it is made in monochrome. On the floor and wall there are dark gray, almost black tiles - a mosaic in the form of honeycombs (hexagons).

Adjacent walls are decorated with small white tiles. As always, Int2 designers came up with another fun decor - a word game. The bathroom door is yellow. The bathroom screen is decorated with wood-effect panels. Inside, there are several built-in shelves above the bathtub.

Balcony interior

The exit to the loggia in the layout is organized from the kitchen. In this rather small room we settled wooden shelves on iron black pipes with books and plants. This rack is only 35 centimeters deep.

Opposite there is a folding table and a small seating area. The seating is made from repainted military boxes, which can also be used for additional storage. A couple of paintings of plants adorn the walls. Balcony frames with inside, like the drawers, are painted in a delicate blue shade.

Studio layout 40 sq. m
The general layout of the studio apartment is 40 sq. m. m (photo below). On in general terms Apartment, you can see that the wall between the corridor and the bedroom forms two wardrobes: a built-in wardrobe in the hallway and a small wardrobe on the side of the sleeping area. It is very convenient to have places to store clothes in different rooms.

We can say with confidence that this good design a project for a one-room apartment, because 40 square meters fit so much of everything you need. The designers undoubtedly coped with all the tasks.

When the need arises to create a design for an apartment of 40 sq. m, it is very important to take into account two things: this area is quite enough to implement global bold decisions, and also that everything square meters should become as functional and useful as possible for the owners of the new home. To achieve a convenient layout, to make the room in which you will live original, so that there is always something to surprise guests, you need to use interesting techniques, prepare a detailed project, and don’t be afraid to experiment.

Where does the repair begin?

The theater begins with a hanger, and the design of a one-room apartment, including a studio, begins with the creation of a project. Documentation and sketches will help you calculate the approximate cost, as well as get a clearer idea of what a one-room space will look like in the near future.

Such a project will be successful if you immediately pay attention to several points:

  • general budget, including a reserve fund for unforeseen expenses;
  • apartment layout features, competent use of all niches and protrusions;
  • number of permanently residing family members in a 1-room apartment of 40 sq. m, taking into account the requests of each of them;
  • presentation and style selection;
  • clear distribution of all required attributes and interior elements.

Application of design ideas

Today, ideas for changing the configuration of the room - combining or dividing the area - are especially popular. However, the relevance of such decisions cannot be applied to absolutely everyone. For example, if a family has a child, then the project of combining the living room and kitchen can be safely put aside, since in this case housing will not be functional. Under such circumstances, you can consider installing a permanent glass partition with a curtain, but approach unusual solution should be done very carefully and carefully.

Stylistic ideas for decorating a 1-room studio of 40 square meters are varied, they can be in different directions:

  • classical rigor;
  • ascetic minimalism;
  • natural eco style;
  • modern high-tech;
  • country country;
  • elegant Provence;
  • daring art style.

Some ideas allow you to organically mix them and add something new and original. Here you will find various methods room zoning: starting from beautiful wooden partitions and ending with interesting transparent samples. Trends in the design of one-room apartments with an area of 40 sq m are associated with the play of contrasts and the highlighting of secluded “islands”. You can consider a project to create mirror zones to visually expand the space.

How to make the right choice

The project may be as follows design solutions, which will reveal the character of the owners of a one-room apartment. The interior of a 1-room apartment with an area of 40 sq. m can display tranquility, where there will be no excessive pretentiousness or flashy elements. Or vice versa, they will find a place for themselves in design bright accents and immediately noticeable objects that exude positive aggression.

Sleeping area design

Minimalism in a 1-room studio of 40 square meters can be elegant. For normal functioning, a person needs healthy sleep. If we talk about a one-room studio apartment, in which the area is at least 40 square meters, then it is possible to use part of the usable space to create a special niche. Then you will get a design where the sleeping place will appear as if on a pedestal, which will make the allocated area aesthetically beautiful, as well as practical, since there will be a place to put away bulky things.

The ideal place in a 1-room studio to place a bedroom set would be near the window opening, which can be decorated with short curtains. Such curtains will not take away “extra” centimeters usable area, caring for them will be easier and their operation easier. The design will be very successful, and the layout will be functional.

We must not forget that natural, like artificial lighting visually expand the boundaries of a one-room apartment.

Despite the fact that the area in a one-room apartment of 40 square meters is not so small, you will need to use some techniques that will help visually increase the space.

Will make the room more spacious:

  • competent selection of colors, where light pastel colors will dominate;

  • arranging massive furniture along one wall, purchasing cabinets with closed doors;

  • the location of the dining area or seating area in the center of the room;

  • installation of glass partitions, light screens and sliding doors;

  • decorating various objects with a mirror or glossy surface and removing all visible sharp corners;

  • ensuring maximum access to natural light.

Kitchen area

The project, which has a fully built-in set, is made in light color scheme is a practical and reasonable solution for the interior design of the dining area of a one-room apartment. Items kitchen set must be functional and stylish. In order to make the dining area of a one-room studio as useful as possible, there are many solutions that will ensure its rapid transformation into a workspace.

The corner area, which is located near the opposite wall of the kitchen, can be done in darker colors. This design will allow you to organically place a small soft sofa there. If the overall kitchen area contains mostly solid colors, then a Provence-era painting in a carved frame will fit harmoniously above the sofa.

A project where the kitchen is decorated primarily with glossy surfaces, an extendable table is installed, and a clear division of the area is observed will help visually increase the space without losing functionality.

Living room decor ideas

For separation kitchen area and the living room, you can use a wooden or artificial small partition, which may be suitable for installing a TV. Or transparent glass, which will look original and bring modern element, emphasizing the chosen design.

It is optimal to place a comfortable soft sofa and a relaxation area in the living room for receiving friends. Can be located in the corner spacious wardrobe With big amount shelves This item will not look voluminous if you choose the appropriate combination of colors in which the cabinet will merge with the main wall. The project can include several chairs and a small table located in the center to make it comfortable to drink tea while having a pleasant conversation with guests.

If blue, light pink, beige shades are perfect for the sleeping area, they bring comfort and are conducive to relaxation. When preparing a design for a living room, they usually choose: golden, light green or brown colors.

The main thing is to try to ensure that the interior of a 1-room apartment is not overloaded with details, unnecessary decorative items, bulky furniture or “heavy” shades. Bright houseplants, large aquariums, elegant elements individual design will create lightness and freshness in the atmosphere of your one-room apartment.

The housing market is very diverse, but not everyone can afford to buy luxury apartments with a large area. Many people have to live in small apartments. Despite this, with a competent approach to planning, you can perfectly place everything you need, so that there is even some free space left.

Even in a one-room apartment of 40 sq.m. you can create an atmosphere of coziness and comfort. You will learn how to achieve this result by reading our article. Design ideas You can take note when arranging your home.

Design features of small apartments

Small-sized housing requires a special approach when developing a renovation concept and a future design project. First of all, determine how many residents will be in the apartment.

For a single person or a young couple without children, an open-plan space is quite suitable, where a kitchen and a living room or a bedroom with a living room can be located in a common area.

If we're talking about O large family or several generations living under one roof, then there is no way to do without zoning the space.

In this case, you will have to use various partitions, sliding curtains or special multifunctional furniture. A multi-level lighting system will add variety to the interior and fill it with space.

Then you need to decide on the style of the room. When choosing an option, it is better to pay attention to a style that does not require an excessive amount of furniture and decoration. This design technique will steal extra meters from an already small room.

For example, classic or Provence will not fit at all, but loft or minimalism will not only fit harmoniously into the space, but will also expand it further.

In today's apartment design, 40 sq. m. various techniques have been invented to optically enlarge small spaces. For example, mirrored furniture fronts push the boundaries, visually adding space to the room.

It would be a good idea to consider decorating walls and furniture in light colors. It is better to avoid dark tones; they will reduce the volume of living space.

Large window openings will play into the hands of owners of a small apartment. Natural daylight pouring from the window will add lightness and airiness to the interior.

Of course, this technique will not work if you clutter the room with a lot of things. Therefore, when renovating an apartment and buying furniture, focus on the essentials. Everything unnecessary should be excluded from the room.

Stylish design solutions for the interior of an apartment of 40 square meters

Zoning principle

It is quite possible to place a living room with a work area, as well as a kitchen and a bedroom in a small area. The absence of walls that hide extra meters allows you to create a complete and at the same time multifunctional space for each type of activity. Whether it's sleeping, evening rest or cooking.

When using the zoning principle, the sleeping area is separated from the rest of the space by a curtain matched to the walls or window curtains.

Loft style interior

It is not only stylish and fashion design, but also saves on finishing the room. After all, a loft is characterized by ordinary painted walls or simply brickwork, not decorated in any way. A concrete ceiling with open wiring has its own special style, which will be quite understandable to modern youth.

You can complement the interior with unusual vintage chairs and a table. The zones in such a room are also united by one space, without massive partitions. Due to what, even dark shades design will not hide precious meters.

Home comfort

Pastel colors and various textiles will make the living area cozy and comfortable. Rational zoning through low partitions harmoniously separates the personal sleeping area from the common dining space.

It is appropriate to place high partitions for dividing a large room perpendicular to the window so as not to block penetration daylight over the entire area of the apartment.

You can create additional space using a mobile dining group, which, if necessary, moves to the wall, freeing up space.

Solution for a family of several people

It may seem that a small apartment is not at all suitable for housing several people at the same time. After looking at the photo of the design of an apartment of 40 sq. m., you will understand that with proper planning you can achieve a result when no one is deprived and everyone has their own personal space.

If the room has a balcony or loggia, insulate it and equip it as a working or sleeping place for one of the family members. The window sill area will serve as a kind of screen and help achieve the effect of privacy.

Instead of a bulky bed in the main part of the room, you can place folding sofa, saving space during the daytime.

Transformable apartment

The concept of the project is the possibility of changing the layout at any time. The main emphasis is on multifunctional modular furniture, capable of modification. So, a folding table can easily turn into a dining or work area.

Bed with lifting mechanism hides in a niche and also frees up space in the room. Narrow cabinets serve as dividers for individual zones in the room, serving as another place to store things.

Sleeping area design

For comfortable life, any body requires a certain amount of time for proper sleep and rest. When it comes to a one-room apartment, you can take a designer approach to creating a sleeping area.

A raised niche under the bed will look quite aesthetically pleasing. In addition, there will be auxiliary space for storing large items. The bedroom set will look harmonious near the window, without taking up extra space in the middle of the room.

Dinner Zone

Light shades of kitchen furniture - practical solution for the dining area in small apartment. Interior items should be both stylish and functional. Therefore, it makes sense to combine the dining and working areas, which can easily be transformed into one another as needed.

Glossy and glass surfaces will visually expand the space without losing their functionality.

Living room

To separate the dining area from the living room, it is wise to use a low partition, which can serve not only as a space divider, but also as a TV stand or an additional shelf for dishes. It will look very nice glass partition with backlight.

The living room area is a place to receive friends. Place a comfortable sofa for guests and a small coffee table for tea drinking.

When thinking through the design and developing a project for a one-room apartment, you should try to ensure that the interior is not overloaded with unnecessary objects, massive furniture and dark shades. Glass vases with flowers, beautiful paintings on the walls, and window textiles will add coziness and help create a unique design even in a small room.
