Ariston Clas

Gas wall-mounted boilers Ariston Clas: 24 FF, 24 CF, 28 FF/CF, 15 FF/CF, 32 FF

Gas valve SIT 845 SIGMA - Ariston Class boilers use a gas valve SIT 845 SIGMA with two electromagnets powered by an alternating voltage of 220 V to supply and shut off gas to the burner. To regulate the gas flow at the valve output from the computer in accordance with the readings of temperature sensors, a low-voltage (24 V) regulator is used. This unit is used for both natural and liquefied gas. The valve is also equipped with NAC504, which supplies voltage to the main burner ignition transformer and valve. The valve is designed to work with different gases without replacing components. Only the injector needs to be replaced. Gas pressure at the valve inlet – no more than
6 kPa (60 mbar). Components: gas supply to the burner, supply pressure sensor, maximum power adjustment nut, inlet pressure sensor, inlet fitting, ignition device, minimum power adjustment screw, compensator.

Adjusting gas parameters

Checking the inlet pressure:

Loosen the screw and connect the pressure gauge tube to the pressure inlet fitting.
- Set the Ariston Clas 24 FF/CF, 28 FF/CF, 15 FF/CF, 32 FF boiler to maximum operating power (DHW valve open). The gas pressure at the inlet to the device must correspond to the specification for the type of gas for which the device is designed.

Checking maximum power in DHW mode:

To check the maximum power, loosen the screw and connect the pressure gauge tube to the pressure tap.

- Start the device at maximum power in the “Chimney Sweep” mode (press the Reset button and hold for 5 s.
- The gas pressure at the inlet to the device must correspond to the specification for the type of gas for which the device is designed. Otherwise, remove the safety plug and adjust the pressure using the hex nut.
- After checking, tighten the screw and check for leaks.
- Install the protective plug on the regulator.

Checking the minimum power:

To check the minimum power, loosen the screw and connect the pressure gauge tube to the pressure tap.
- Disconnect the air chamber compensator tube.
- Start the Clas System boiler at minimum power and disconnect the cable from the regulator. The gas pressure at the inlet to the device must correspond to the specification for the type of gas for which the device is designed. Otherwise, adjust the pressure using the screw while holding the hex nut stationary.
- After checking, tighten the screw and check for leaks.
- Connect the cable to the regulator.
- Connect the compensator tube.

Checking power in soft ignition mode (Performed using parameter 220):

To check power in soft ignition mode, loosen the screw and connect the pressure gauge tube to the pressure tap.
- Disconnect the air chamber compensator tube (sealed chamber).
- Open the DHW valve. In the Ariston Klass boiler, the burner is ignited. Disconnect the flame detection electrode so that the pressure corresponding to the soft ignition mode is maintained for 8 s without a safety shutdown.
- Change parameter 220.

Adjusting the heating switch-on delay: Regulation is carried out using parameter 236. The boiler allows adjustment of the delay time from receipt of the heating command to ignition of the burner in the range from zero to 7 minutes. The regulation is carried out using parameter 236.

Adjustment of maximum thermal power: The device has two different maximum power values: in DHW mode and, less, in CO mode (absolute maximum value). The absolute maximum value of thermal power is set by parameter 230. This parameter must be checked and, if necessary, changed only in the case of switching to another group of gases. To regulate the heating output in heating mode, it is possible to regulate the maximum thermal power (ranging from the minimum to the absolute maximum value). The boiler allows adjustment of the delay time from receipt of the heating command to ignition of the burner in the range from zero to 7 minutes. Regulation is carried out using parameter 236. Regulation is carried out using parameter 231. The device allows you to adjust the maximum value of thermal power.

Main burner - The Ariston Clas 24 FF/CF, 28 FF/CF, 15 FF/CF, 32 FF boiler models use Polidoro burners with a nozzle pitch of 19.0 mm. The electrodes (two ignition electrodes and one flame control electrode) are combined into a block. The gap between the ignition electrodes should be 4 ± 1 mm, the distance between the electrodes and the burner should be 8 ± 1 mm. Distance between flame detection electrode and burner
should be 8 ± 1 mm. If the burner does not ignite after the protective delay time has expired, code 501 is displayed on the control panel indicator. The ion current must be at least 1 µA. The voltage at the electrode relative to ground is 110 VAC.

Ignition cycle. In CO and DHW modes, ignition is carried out in two ways:

DHW - If necessary, three ignition attempts are made: 1st attempt - at a power corresponding to the soft ignition mode; if at the end of the protective delay (8 s) the flame is not detected, the 5P1 signal is generated, the Ariston Class 24 ff boiler makes a second attempt; 2nd attempt - at soft ignition power; if at the end of the safety delay (8 s) no flame is detected, a 5P2 signal is generated; the device makes the 3rd attempt; 3rd attempt - at soft ignition power; if at the end of the safety delay (8 s) no flame is detected, the burner is switched off, signal 501 is generated, the fan shutdown is delayed for 40 s, during which the fan operates at
maximum rotation speed, then for another 2 minutes at minimum speed.

CO - If necessary, three ignition attempts are made: 1st attempt - at 80% of the power corresponding to the soft ignition mode; if at the end of the protective delay (8 s) the flame is not detected, the 5P1 signal is generated, the device makes a second attempt; 2nd attempt - at 90% soft ignition power; if at the end of the safety delay (8 s) no flame is detected, a 5P2 signal is generated; the device makes the 3rd attempt; 3rd attempt - at soft ignition power; if at the end of the safety delay (8 s) no flame is detected, the burner is switched off, signal 501 is generated, the fan shutdown is delayed for 40 s, during which the fan operates at maximum frequency
rotation, then for another 2 minutes - at the minimum frequency.

Ariston Clas Evo

Modifications of Ariston Clas Evo gas boilers: 24 FF, 24 CF, 28 FF, 15 FF

Boiler hydraulic unit

Right hydraulic unit - Modular unit with built-in functional elements: CO and DHW filter. All elements are fastened with clamps. Pump block with deaerator valve. Brass fittings for installation. Filling tap.

Left Hydraulic Unit - Modular Feed Unit hot water in heating and hot water circuits: safety valve CO 0.3 MPa (3 bar). Automatic bypass. Brass fittings. All copper tubes are secured using clamps.

Three-way valve - The three-way valve is used to change the distribution of water (to the heating circuit or to the secondary heat exchanger). The valve is controlled from the electronic control unit (ECU) via a relay contact. The valve consists of a body made of composite material and an electric drive (motor). When the device is in standby mode, the valve is in the “SANITARY” (DHW) position. Procedure for switching a 3-way valve. The boiler is in standby mode, the valve is in the “SANITARY” (DHW) position: When the heating is turned on: the start of the operating cycle in the “Heating” mode is delayed by 7 s (the time required to switch the valve using an electric drive from “DHW” to “CO” ). When a command is received for DHW: the device immediately starts working in the “DHW” mode.

Valve in position “HEATING” (CO): When a command for DHW is received: the valve switches from “CO” to “DHW”, while the pump and burner continue to operate. After receiving a command for DHW: if the heating command is not removed, the pump and burner are turned off for 7 s (the time required to switch the valve using an electric drive from “DHW” to “CO”. The Clas Evo System boiler starts operating again in the “Heating” mode ". The 3-way valve is driven by an easily dismantled ELBI electric motor. The electric motor can be replaced without draining the water from the boiler. It is enough to remove the lock and disconnect the power cable. The signal from the ECU is sent to the engine in accordance with which mode (CO + ShVS or DHW only) is set on the control panel. The valve has two limit switches (right/left), with which the servomotor is switched off when the required position is reached.

Secondary heat exchanger - The secondary heat exchanger of the Ariston Clas Evo 24 ff boiler is attached to the hydraulic unit with two screws. The screw holes are located asymmetrically on the heat exchanger body, so it can only be installed in correct position. Anti-scale temperature setting - Aims to reduce scale formation in the secondary heat exchanger. In DHW mode, the burner turns off and on depending on the readings of temperature sensors NTC1 and NTCs.

Pump block. Pump type: 24 and 28 kW models. Wilo MTSL 15/5 HE-2; 32 kW model. Wilo MTSL 15/6.7-2 CLF12. The ECU allows you to control the switching circulation pump from one rotation speed, V2 (55 W), to another, V3 (80 W). In DHW mode, the pump always runs at speed V3 to ensure better heat exchange. In heating mode, the pump can operate at one of two speeds. The value is determined by the temperature difference between the water supply to the heating circuit and the return fitting (dT). Procedure: Tpod.–rev. T – 2 C more than V2; Tpod.–rev. T is greater than V3, where T= 20C (the value is set by parameter 239 in the range from 10 to 30 C).

Switching to both lower and higher speeds is carried out with a delay of 5 minutes (unchangeable value). Parameter 238 of the Ariston Clas Evo boiler allows you to prohibit switching the pump from one rotation speed to another: 0: fixed. rotation frequency 2; 1: fixed rotation frequency 3; 2: adjustable. The anti-stick system turns on the circulation pump and 3-way valve for 15 seconds every 21 hours from the last action. To control the pump speed, the value of parameter 823 can be used or the voltage (alternating) between pins 5 and 6 of connector CN10 of the electronic control unit can be measured: 145 V: highest speed; 0 V: lowest speed;

Filling the heating circuit manually - The procedure for filling the CO circuit (empty) is given below: Open the tap at the cold water inlet. Remove the deaerator plug. To open the filling valve, use a magnetic key (fixed under the hydraulic unit) to set the filling valve to the valve open position, filling the CO circuit begins.

Semi-automatic recharging of the heating circuit - The “Semi-automatic recharging” mode should be used only when it is necessary to recharge the primary circuit. Do not use to fill an empty system. The charging solenoid valve is supplied with an alternating voltage of 230 V (pins 1 and 2 of connector CN12 of the ECU), resistance 3.7 kOhm. In DHW mode, this mode does not work. Parameter 248 allows you to disable semi-automatic make-up: 0: disabled; 1: allowed.

If the pressure in the system is less than 0.6 bar, the make-up mode is activated and an icon is displayed on the display of the Clas Evo System boiler; in this case, pressing button 13 starts the “Filling the system” cycle:

The three-way valve switches to the CO position;
- If the pump was turned on, it turns off;
- if the burner was turned on, it turns off;
- after the first filling, pressure control is carried out; if the control result is negative, error message 1P5 is issued (between B and A);
- constant pressure control is carried out; if the control result is negative, error message 6P1 is issued (between C and B1);
- to achieve the set pressure value, a second filling cycle is carried out.

Ariston Clas Evo boiler error codes (when filling)

Error 102 - The pressure sensor is not connected or there is a short circuit.
Error 109 - Pressure above maximum (3 bar).
Error 111 - Pressure below minimum (0.4 bar).
Error 1P4 - Pressure below displayed (0.6 bar).
Error 1P5 - The first filling cycle was completed unsuccessfully (the pressure in the boiler did not increase): press the appropriate button and try filling again.
Error 1P6 - The pressure constant control gave a negative result: press the corresponding button and try filling again.
Error 1P7 - More than 5 filling cycles in 50 minutes, the filling button is blocked (to reset: disable and re-enable).
Error 1P8 - More than 6 filling cycles in 7 days, the filling button is blocked (to reset: Off-On).

Pressure sensor in the heating circuit - The proportional pressure sensor is designed to measure the pressure in the primary circuit. The measured value is displayed on the display of the Ariston Class Evo 24 ff boiler. Control is carried out by measuring the voltage (DC) between pins 8 and 9 of connector CN04. Correspondence between voltage and pressure values: 0 bar = 0.3 V, 1.5 bar = 2.5 V, 3 bar = 4.8 V. If the computer receives a voltage of 0 V (the pressure sensor is not connected) or 5 V (the input is incorrectly connected and output), protective shutdown 102 is carried out.

Bypass - The bypass in the boiler is switched automatically; this unit does not need adjustment. In the event of a loss of pressure in the CO circuit due to the operation of the thermostat or zone valves, the bypass ensures a water flow through the main heat exchanger of at least 350 l/h. In addition, the automatic bypass prevents overheating of the heat exchanger, which can occur when there is insufficient water flow. In this case, the temperature in the boiler is adjusted in the usual way; when the set temperature is reached, the burner is turned off. The bypass is located in the supply unit and is interlocked with a three-way safety valve.

Primary heat exchanger - The primary heat exchanger of the Ariston Clas Evo 24 FF, 24 CF, 28 FF, 15 FF boiler is made of copper with an anti-corrosion silicone coating. It is designed to transfer the heat of combustion products to water in the primary circuit. There is an overheat sensor with automatic reset, triggered at 102 ± 4 C. Model - Number of fins / Dimensions: 24 CF - 82 / 260 x 180 mm, 28 CF - 89 / 300 x 180 mm, 24 FF - 91 / 260 x 180 mm, 28 FF - 91 / 260 x 180 mm, 32 FF - 105 / 300 x 180 mm.

Expansion tank - When the water temperature rises, the expansion tank compensates for the increase in its volume. The tank consists of two compartments separated by a membrane made of styrene-butadiene rubber. One compartment is filled with nitrogen, the second receives water from the primary circuit. The nitrogen compartment can shrink as the volume of water increases and the temperature rises. The expansion tank is designed for a heating system with a water volume of about 175 liters. Specifications- Capacity - 8 liters. The highest operating temperature is 90 C. Nitrogen pressure is 0.1 MPa (1 bar). The highest working pressure is 3.0 MPa (1 bar).

DHW flow meter - The DHW flow meter has a turbine, which is rotated by the water flow in the DHW circuit, and a rotation speed meter, the signal from which is sent to the Clas Evo System boiler control unit. There is also a cold water filter to prevent contamination of the flow meter. In addition, there is a water hammer protection device (controlled by the ECU). Parameter 252 is used for setting, allowing
set the response time from 0.5 to 20 s (default 0.5 s). The value of water flow in the DHW circuit is indicated by parameter 825. It can also be displayed on the indicator by pressing the INFO button. To control, you can measure the voltage (DC) at connector CN14: 0 V = no flow; 5 V = no flow; 2 to 3 V = flow available. Water consumption available: 100 l/h. There is no water extraction: 80 l/h.

Ariston Genus

Ariston Genus gas boilers are designed to supply heat and are installed in residential buildings and premises. Genus wall-mounted boiler models: 24 FF, 35 FF, 24 CF, 30 FF.

Elements of FF models. Combustion chamber is sealed - Air supply neck of a two-channel flue, Air pressure switch, Condensate drain at the inlet of the air pressure switch, Coolant overheating sensor, Primary heat exchanger, Temperature sensor (with negative temperature coefficient) of water supply to the heating circuit (NTC 1), Burner and electrodes , Gas valve and
electric spark ignition generator, DHW temperature sensor (NTCs). Safety valve 0.3 MPa (3 bar), Pump, Water temperature sensor on the CO return fitting (NTC 2), Steplessly variable fan, Sampler for analysis of combustion products, Flue pipe for combustion products, Hall sensor.

Elements of CF models. Open combustion chamber - Flue pipe, Combustion product temperature sensor, Coolant overheating sensor, Temperature sensor (with negative temperature coefficient) of water supply to the CO circuit (NTC 1), Burner and electrodes, Gas valve and electric spark ignition generator, DHW temperature sensor ( NTCs), Safety valve 0.3 MPa (3 bar), Pump, Water temperature sensor (negative temperature coefficient) on the CO return fitting (NTC 2), Primary heat exchanger.

Operating procedure of the Ariston Genus boiler in heating mode - The heating command can come from: room thermostat 1, room thermostat 2, timer-programmer, remote control remote control REMOCON and room temperature sensor. The display shows C, then the temperature at the supply to the CO circuit (measured by the NTC1 sensor). When the device is in standby mode, the valve is in the “SANITARY” (DHW) position. When the heating is turned on, the servomotor, which blocked the output of the secondary heat exchanger, is activated (the shaft extends), the pump input is connected to the heating circuit. The circulation device is started with a delay of 7 seconds after the heating command, so that the three-way valve has time to switch; After this, the circulation device directs water from the return fitting to the primary heat exchanger.

The fan turns on (models with a sealed chamber). After the pressure switch is triggered, the device can proceed to the next step (in this case, the pressure switch is not checked again until the next restart). If the relay does not operate, after 20 s the device performs a protective shutdown 6P1, the fan continues to rotate until confirmation (models with a sealed chamber). After the air pressure switch is triggered, the gas valve and the electric spark ignition generator are turned on. Gas supply is carried out at the rate of 80% of the ignition power in soft mode; this value can be adjusted using parameter 220. The presence of a flame is monitored by ion current (using a control electrode). Error indication 5P1 indicates no ignition.

The Ariston Genus boiler attempts to ignite in soft mode (at 90% power). If unsuccessful, fault 5P2 is displayed on the indicator, and a third ignition attempt is made at 100% ignition power in soft mode. If the third attempt is unsuccessful, the device stops. Safety delay 8 s. For monitoring, temperature sensors are used at the supply to the circuit and the return fitting. The values used are dT supply–rev. and the rate of temperature rise at the supply and return fittings. Pressure is measured using a pressure sensor. Once a flame is detected in the apparatus, the heating power can be adjusted in accordance with the required heating output. Adjustment can be carried out over the entire range of thermal power values - from maximum (set from the control panel - parameter 231) to minimum (fixed; installed on the gas valve).

The burner shutdown temperature is adjusted as follows:

1st minute after flame detection: T off. = T mouth + 8 C
- 2nd minute after flame detection: T off. = T mouth + 6 C
- starting from the 3rd minute after flame detection: T off. = T mouth + 4 C

This procedure prevents the burner from switching off too quickly when the set temperature is reached. It is possible to set the delay before restarting from 0 to 7 minutes (default 2 minutes, set from the control panel - parameter 236). The pump can operate at one of two speeds. The value is determined by the temperature difference between the water supply to the CO circuit and the return fitting. Protection against overheating is carried out using a temperature sensor with automatic reset (102±4C) at the supply to the CO circuit (even when the burner is turned off). When the sensor contacts open, a protective shutdown of the burner occurs, and after 5 s, if the contacts are still open, the device is blocked (preventing the operator from turning it on again), error 101 is displayed on the display. From the moment the heating command is received, the “limit temperature” signal (88 C, fixed value) comes continuously from the heating water flow temperature sensor (NTC 1). If the circulation in the CO circuit is disrupted, it is possible to automatically switch to bypass (capacity no more than 350 l/h).

The operating procedure of the Ariston Genus boiler in DHW mode - The water flow in the DHW circuit is measured using a flow meter. The boiler now operates in SANITARY (DHW) mode. The display shows the letter d and the temperature setting. When the device is in standby mode, the valve is in the “SANITARY” (DHW) position. If a command for hot water supply is received while the device is operating in CO mode, the three-way valve switches to the SANITARY (DHW) position. At the same time, the circulation pump and burner continue to operate. The output of the secondary heat exchanger is connected to the input of the pump that supplies water to the primary heat exchanger. The pump (rotation speed 3) pumps water from the secondary outlet and sends it to the primary heat exchanger. The fan turns on at maximum speed (models with a sealed chamber). After the air pressure switch is triggered, you can proceed to the next step.

If the relay does not operate, after 20 s the device performs a protective shutdown (error 6P1), the fan continues to rotate until confirmation (models with a sealed chamber). In models with an open chamber, instead, control is carried out from an overheating sensor (operates even while the device is operating). If the combustion products overheating sensor is triggered, the device stops 601. After the air pressure switch is triggered, the gas valve and the electric spark ignition generator are turned on. Gas supply is carried out in accordance with the thermal power in soft ignition mode (set from the control panel with parameter 220). The presence of flame is monitored by
ion current (using a control electrode). Indication 5P1 indicates no ignition. The Ariston Genus 24 CF/FF, 35 FF, 30 FF boiler attempts to ignite in soft mode (at 100% power).

If unsuccessful, fault 5P2 is displayed on the indicator, and a third ignition attempt is made at 100% ignition power in soft mode. If the third attempt is unsuccessful, the device stops with error 501. The protective delay is 8 s. To control water flow, temperature sensors are used at the supply to the circuit and the return fitting. The values used are T pod.-rev. and the rate of temperature rise at the supply and return fittings. Pressure is measured using a pressure sensor. The burner flame can be adjusted over the entire range of thermal power values - from maximum (set on the gas valve) to minimum (also set on the gas valve). The burner operates until the anti-scale temperature setting is reached. This temperature is measured by the NTCs sensor in the DHW circuit. Overheating protection is provided by a temperature sensor with automatic reset (102 ± 4 C) at the heating circuit supply (even when the burner is switched off). When the sensor contacts open, a protective shutdown of the burner occurs, and after 5 s, if the contacts are still open, the device is blocked (preventing restarting by the operator), error 101 is displayed on the display.

Operating modes

“Chimney Sweep” mode - The mode is used for proper analysis of combustion products and calibration for maximum and minimum values. Press the Reset button and hold for 5 seconds. If the boiler is in the “Winter” mode, the three-way valve is in the “CO” position and the burner turns on even without a heating command. The device is in the “Summer” mode: in the absence of a command for DHW, the device operates in CO mode; if there is a command for DHW, the device operates in DHW mode. In the “Chimney Sweep” mode, temperature measurement (with NTC sensor 1) is carried out as follows: “Summer” mode more than Off: 86 C; On: 81 C; “Winter” mode more Off: 89 C; On: 84 C. To exit the Chimney Sweep mode, press the RESET button. If this is not done, after 10 minutes the device automatically exits this mode.

“Comfort” mode - In this mode, the Ariston Genus 24 FF, 35 FF, 24 CF, 30 FF boiler begins to supply hot water to the DHW circuit faster. For this purpose, the primary circuit of the boiler is maintained heat. Press the “C” (comfort) button. In Comfort mode, the display shows the COMFORT icon and the letter C, as well as the temperature measured by the NTC1 sensor. The device switches to Comfort mode for each DHW command and maintains it for 30 minutes. To exit this mode, press the “C” button again. Menu parameter 2 50 allows you to configure the Comfort mode as follows: 0: disabled; 1: turned on within 30 minutes after the command for DHW; 2: always on.

Frost Protection Mode - This mode is only effective when the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. The transition to this mode is carried out according to the readings of the temperature sensor at the supply to the CO circuit (NTC1). Temperature measured by NTC1 sensor: From 3 to 8 C - The pump runs at speed III. The three-way valve switches alternately for 1 minute to the “CO” mode, and for 1 minute to the “DHW” mode. The display shows the letter F and the temperature value measured by the NTC1 sensor. Operating time: until the temperature measured by the NTC1 sensor reaches 9 C. Temperature measured by the NTC 1 sensor: below 3 C - The burner turns on at minimum power; The pump runs at speed III. The three-way valve is in the “CO” position. The display of the Ariston Genus boiler alternates between the letter F, the number 2 and the temperature value measured by the NTC1 sensor. Operating time: until the temperature measured by NTC 1 reaches 30 C.

If the temperature sensor on the supply to the CO circuit NTC 1 does not work (is open or a short circuit has occurred), the transition to the “Freeze Protection” mode is carried out according to the readings of the NTC 2 sensor on the return fitting, but in this case only the pump works (the burner does not turn on) . The display does not show the frost protection mode designation, but the NTC 1 sensor error code 110 in the event of a short circuit or open circuit. The device goes into frost protection mode even if the NTC 2 sensor is not active (open or short circuited), but in this case only the pump works (the burner does not turn on). The display does not show the frost protection mode designation, but NTC 2 sensor error code 112 - short circuit or open circuit. The appliance goes into frost protection mode even if there was a shutdown due to no flame detection, error code 501, or a lockout due to overheating, error code 101, but in this case only the pump works (the burner does not turn on), and the display shows It is not the frost protection mode designation that is displayed, but a blocking error code. In case of disconnection
power supply, all settings are saved in the device, and after power is restored, it goes into the mode in which it was operating before the shutdown.

Ariston Genus boiler combustion product removal system

On the external part of the apparatus there is a combustion products collector, with two samplers for determining the temperature of combustion products and inlet air, the content of O2, CO2, etc.

Air pressure switch - To control the proper removal of combustion products, the device is equipped with a pressure switch. 25 kW: Open = 50 Pa (0.50 mbar); Closed = 60 Pa (0.60 mbar); 30 kW: Open = 74 Pa (0.74 mbar); Closed = 89 Pa (0.89 mbar); 32 kW: Open = 74 Pa (0.74 mbar); Closed = 89 Pa (0.89 mbar); The first pressure value is taken at the fan outlet (port “L” of the pressure switch). The second pressure value is measured in the combustion chamber (connection “H” of the pressure switch). Both values are negative (below atmospheric), but the pressure switch monitors the difference between the indicated values (to measure this difference, you can connect a differential pressure gauge to the pressure taps located at the top of the device). When the Ariston Genus boiler is operating, the pressure switch contacts are closed. The device reacts to the opening of contacts. 607: The pressure switch contacts are closed before the start of the ignition sequence. 6P1: The pressure switch contacts are not closed, although the fan has turned on.

Variable speed fan - The following fans are used: 24 kW: with 35 W motor; 28 kW: with 45 W motor; 32 kW: with 60 W motor; A Hall sensor is used to measure the fan speed. Upon receipt of a heating command, the ECU starts the fan at maximum speed (up to 2800 rpm). After the pressure switch is triggered, the fan switches to the ignition speed (different for DHW and CO modes), which allows optimizing burner ignition. Once the presence of a flame is detected by the control electrode, the fan speed can be adjusted according to the required heat output.

The fan rotation speed is adjusted in accordance with the gas supply through the gas valve to increase or decrease; accordingly, more or less current is supplied to its winding. To control the rotation speed at front side The fan has a Hall sensor installed. If within 10 s the fan speed is more than 100 rpm below the minimum (1750 rpm) or if a break in the connection to the Hall sensor is detected, error 604 is output: fan shutdown is delayed: 40 s at maximum speed ; 2 min – at minimum. To monitor the fan speed in rpm, use parameter 8 22 or measure the signal frequency between pins 4 and 5 of connector CN07. Parameter 222 allows you to prohibit switching the pump from one speed to another: 0: adjustable; 1: fixed.

Ventilation shutdown delay - The fan operates with a shutdown delay: 40 s at a frequency of 1900 rpm (after shutdowns 501 and 103); 20 s at maximum speed (after stops due to lack of water circulation: 103, 104, 105, 106 and 107), 10 s at 1900 rpm (after stops due to lack of water circulation: 1P1, 1P2 and 1P3); 5 s at 1900 min–1 (after each burner shutdown).

Fan switch-off delay after heating command: parameter 243= 0: 5 s at 1900 min–1 (every time after the burner is switched off); parameter 243= 1: 3 min at 1900 min–1 (every time after the burner is switched off).

Fan switch-off delay after a DHW command: parameter 254= 0: Tlow. less than 75 C = switches off without delay; Tpod. more than 75 C = 3 min (minimum speed); parameter 254= 1: 3 min (fixed time, minimum speed).

Control of combustion products (Ariston Genus 24 CF boilers, open combustion chamber) - An overheating sensor with automatic reset, installed in the combustion products exhaust path, sends a signal to the ECU, which ensures proper control, provided that the ECU has power. When the overheating sensor is triggered, a protective shutdown of the device is carried out, and error code 601 is displayed on the indicator. Reason for triggering: The temperature in the combustion products exhaust path has exceeded the sensor trigger setting, 75 ± 3 C. After 12 minutes, the sensor is automatically reset, since the temperature has time to drop during this time . To reset the sensor immediately, you can turn off and turn on the power to the ECU. Error messages when the overheating sensor is triggered - 601: the overheating sensor has triggered (protective shutdown). 601: open circuit of the overheat sensor (safety shutdown).

Combustion product exhaust system (sealed chamber, FF models) - The device allows the installation of both coaxial (60/100 mm) and two-channel (80/80 mm) flue ducts (accordingly, two connection options). Samplers for analysis of combustion products are built into the neck of the combustion products manifold.

The last stage of installation of almost any heating system is its first trial run, debugging and commissioning. By and large, if boiler equipment is launched for the first time, then this work is a priority for service centers. During the first start-up, service center specialists check the correct connection of the boiler, perform its debugging and put this equipment under warranty. If you carry out the first launch yourself, then you can’t count on a warranty service center. Starting and debugging the heating system can also be done while the system is in operation - you won’t have to turn to specialists every time. Owners individual heating you just need to know the process. We will study it with you in this master class with step-by-step photos, in which, together with the website, we will study in detail the issues of how to start the boiler and how to debug the heating system with your own hands.

Filling the heating system with water

Launch gas boiler It starts with filling the heating system with water. Everything is simple here - modern double-circuit boilers do not require the installation of a special system replenishment unit. It is already built into the boiler and equipped with a special tap, which, as a rule, is located at the bottom of the boiler in close proximity to the cold water connection pipe. Open the feed tap and slowly fill the system with water.

Starting the boiler - how to fill the system with water

A very important point in the operation of any boiler equipment is fluid pressure. To control this parameter of the heating system, almost all boilers are equipped with a pressure gauge. During the process of filling systems with water, it is necessary to monitor the pressure and after it reaches 1.5-2 atm, filling the system will need to be stopped. In principle, the operating pressure of a boiler may vary depending on the manufacturer and model - therefore, see the instructions for the boiler for the exact operating pressure.

Do-it-yourself first start-up of a gas boiler

Removing air pockets in the system

It's better to start with batteries. To remove air pockets, a Mayevsky tap is usually installed on them. We open it and wait for the water to run. Did you run? Let's close. Such manipulations must be done with each heating device separately.

How to start a boiler with your own hands photo

After the air is removed from the batteries, the pressure in the system will decrease and the pressure gauge needle will drop. At this stage of work, the solution to the question of how to start the boiler involves re-filling the system with liquid.

Now, the most difficult thing is that starting gas boilers requires bleeding air from the circulation pump. To do this, the boiler needs to be disassembled a little. We remove the front cover and look for a cylindrical object with a shiny lid in the middle, which has a slot for a screwdriver. After we have found it, we put the boiler into operation - we supply it with electrical power and set the water heating controls to the operating position.

Relieving air from the circulation pump when starting the boiler photo

The circulation pump will immediately turn on - you will hear a faint hum and loud gurgling and many incomprehensible sounds. This is fine. As long as the pump is aired, it will be so. Take a screwdriver and slowly unscrew the cap in the middle of the pump - as soon as water starts seeping out from under it, screw it back. After two or three such manipulations, the air will come out completely, the strange sounds will subside, the electric ignition will work and start working. Check the pressure again and add water to the system if necessary.

Basically, that's it. While the system is warming up, you can begin to study the instructions in detail (if, of course, you have not already done so) and start debugging the system that involves starting the boiler. Everything is simple here - the batteries closest to the boiler need to be screwed on, and the ones farther away need to be turned on to their full potential. This debugging is carried out using control valves installed on the supply connection pipe to the heating radiator.

I turned on the Ariston BS 24 ff boiler in heating mode, set the coolant temperature to more than 60 degrees and the following began to happen - after the burner turns off, after 5 seconds crackling noises begin in the boiler, approximately in the upper part in the area of the heat exchanger. What kind of malfunction is this? The boiler has been in operation for 2 years.
Maintenance was carried out, in addition to cleaning the heat exchanger from the inside from scale and other things! The technician who carried out the maintenance said that there is no need to descale! The device worked as it did 2 years ago, and still works without changes, except for crackling after the burner goes out, but only at coolant temperatures above 60 degrees.
We carried out the installation and installation of an Ariston wall-mounted boiler. Works great for heating. The DHW turns on, heats for about a minute and the flame turns off, the green 40-80 lights are on, then the green 40-50 error and the yellow chimney “Alert for insufficient water under pressure” blink. After which the flame appears and heats further, then turns off again.
The Ariston Uno boiler is set to summer mode. I turn on the hot water in the tap, the boiler works normally (it heats the water). After the hot water is turned off, the gas is ignited on the radiator circuit, and the boiler continues to heat the water already in the system. After some time, it either stops (it seems to “remember” that it is in summer mode) or attempts to light the gas again heating system. But he can't do it.
Most likely, you will have to reflash the program memory.
We installed an Ariston Uno 24 MI gas boiler. At first it worked fine, but about 3 months ago problems began, first with hot water, and then with heating. When igniting, the boiler lights up, but ignition clicks are heard for 7-10 seconds, and then the protection is triggered, the boiler goes out, and the red light comes on. After pressing the reset button it lights up and works fine. Previously it happened 1-2 times a day and only when the hot water was turned on, but now it happens constantly. Tell me what could be the problem?
Clean the flame control electrode with a zero, it is probably covered with soot. If you don’t know who is responsible for the control, it won’t hurt to clean everything in the combustion chamber above the burner. Well, if it doesn’t help, then pay.
What is the reason for the Ariston UNO 24 MFFI boiler blocking when the heating is turned on? Moreover, blocking occurs after approximately half an hour of operation - when the batteries warm up completely. I thought maybe the temperature sensor, but the indicator says "ignition".
The board needs to be repaired, it is not necessary to replace it.
The Ariston Uno 24 MFFI EE boiler is faulty - the yellow lamp turns off and lights up. How to fix?
Check the operation of the turbine.
Check the pressure switch.
Check the functionality of the email. fees.
The Ariston Uno 24 boiler operates in heating mode and switches off periodically. with all diodes extinguishing. When on it on the on button. it starts working for a while, maybe an hour or half an hour and then shuts down. I think it's a fee.
Recently carried out renovations. I did the following.
1- cleaned the air vent valve. Didn't work at all.
Because of this, due to the presence of air in the heat exchanger, the scale turned into some kind of black flakes. (local overheating affected).
2- washed both heat exchangers. The secondary was 90 percent full.
I performed the second operation twice. But I think I’ll have to repeat it in the spring.
3-washed the return filter.
It looks like the secondary heat exchanger is clogged with scale, overheats and shuts down. Need to rinse!
The gas boiler Egis Plus 24 FF is in operation. The pressure in the heating circuit dropped by 0.5 atm over the course of two weeks. I checked the expansion tank, it was zero. Pumped up to 1 atm. Now it has begun to fall more slowly, the pressure in the expansion tank is normal. For what reason could there be such a drop in pressure in the Republic of Belarus? Outwardly it is intact, does not poison the air. Basically, the pressure in the heating circuit drops after using hot water. At
While pumping, closed the supply and return taps. I drained the water from the boiler, a little spilled out when I pumped it up. Before this, the season worked fine.
If you are sure that there is a drop in the heating system circuit, then look for a leak in it.
We installed and connected Ariston Egis Plus 24 with an open combustion chamber.
I have a problem and need some advice:
1. The temperature in the DHW circuit does not depend on the set parameters and is always maximum. The heating circuit is adjustable.
2. The feeling that the boiler does not change the intensity of the flame (in both modes). It lights up at maximum and stays on until it turns off when the maximum temperature is reached. Is it somehow configured or something more serious?
First you need to look at the gas valve settings.
The boiler displays error 104 during heating operation. The pressure in the expansion tank is 1 bar. the pressure in the device does not drop to 1.4 bar, the bypass is normal, the turbine and everything else is also normal. Everything is clean along the contour. What could the third digit in the error mean? Ariston Class chimney boiler. What if we have a pressure sensor? I didn't find it.
If the error occurs only during heating operation, most likely the fault should be looked for in the heating system; I would start by checking the CO filters. Most often not, but there were examples with a pressure sensor. To be sure, check menu parameter 247 and set to 0 if necessary.
We completed the installation and started up the Ariston Clas System 15 FF wall-mounted boiler. During operation it displays error 104. Pressure in expansion tank 1. Pressure in boiler 1.5 does not drop. The filter is clean. There is no air in CO. The heat exchanger is washed clean. What could be the problem? It stops 3-4 times a day. I noticed that when an error occurs, there is some hissing and a pressure jump from 1.5 to 1 and again becomes 1.5 and error 104 appears.
Options: board, pump, NTC.
Tell me, is it necessary to drain the coolant before pumping in air?
We drain (bleed through the vent) the coolant until the pressure gauge shows 0. Before this, turn off the CO taps under the boiler. Then we pump pressure into the air part of the expansion tank with a pump, checking the pressure with a third-party pressure gauge. We pump up 1.0-1.2 bar. We open the taps. Then we pump pressure into the CO and control the pressure with a boiler pressure gauge. We pump it up either through the make-up tap or by a third-party
pump at the CO filling point. Pump up to 1.3 -1.5 bar. Check to see if the air vent is open. We turn on the boiler, and if there is a mode for removing air from the CO, then we run the device in this mode. We also heat the CO to maximum. Air is removed from the CO. We go through the heating devices and bleed the air from them through the Mayevsky tap. The pressure will drop slightly. We feed to the indicated values above. All. If everything is correct, then when
When heated to maximum temperature, the pressure in a closed system will not rise above 0.3 bar.
Malfunction in the operation of the Ariston Egis 24 ff double-circuit boiler - when hot water is turned on for 20 seconds of operation, the flame goes out and error 109 plausibility test failure comes on. What is this and how to fix it? First the burner goes out, and then the DHW temperature comes on: 109. Is this the temperature of the water in the tap? Is it possible to do the repairs yourself?
Choose one of the options:
1. Error 109 lights up and after that the burner goes out;
2. The burner goes out and then error 109 lights up;
Set the DHW temperature to 50 degrees or less and see if there is a change.
Tell me, where is the expansion tank on the Egis 24FF gas boiler, and more specifically the spool for pumping? And how to properly drain the water from the boiler? To properly pump pressure into the expansion tank.
It is located at the back, on top behind the boiler.
— Close the cold water inlet valve to the device.
— Open the hot water tap on the mixer at any water point.
— Open the feed tap.
— Wait until the pressure gauge needle reaches zero.
Problem in operating the Ariston BS II 24 CF double-circuit boiler. When you turn on the heating, the burner starts and turns off after a short time, the system does not warm up completely, and the device already turns off. They called a technician, he said that the pump had failed, although when the boiler was turned on, a slight vibration was felt and the supply pipe heated up, as did the first three radiators (there was no way to check the remaining three). But
the return is a little warm. The boiler does not give any errors. Can you tell me how I can check the functionality of the pump?
Turn off the boiler using the button and from the socket; turn off all the taps, drain the water from the device through the drain fitting, cover the top of the board with some kind of waterproof oilcloth so that no water gets in, remove the pump and try to turn it by hand - how easy it is to turn.
1. the return filter is clogged.
2 the filter in the boiler is clogged (the tube where the pressure gauge goes in).
3 the heat exchanger is clogged.
4. the pump does not reach operating parameters.
Aegis plus 24 FF boiler is in operation. When I turn on the hot water supply, the device turns off after 30 seconds and displays error 303. Tell me, what could be the damage?
Most likely, the board will need to be changed.
An Ariston BS 24 FF boiler was installed and worked for 4 years without breakdowns. Now a problem has arisen: You set the temperature, for example 70, the boiler does not warm up the entire system, although before everything was normal. Only the first 3 batteries heat up, accordingly the return cools down, the device turns on for a short time (the sensor on the dial shows a maximum of 40) and the heating turns off, although the return is slightly warm. I don’t know what the problem is, maybe I need to install an additional pump? (The stabilizer is installed, the filter is only for mechanical impurities.).
The filter in the boiler is clogged.
We are going to connect a 15 kW Ariston single-circuit wall-mounted gas boiler. Does it need an expansion tank? How to check the boiler after startup?
This model already has a standard expansion tank, but its volume is not always enough for work. We need to inspect the heating system. If it is large enough, you will need to install an additional tank outside the boiler. Before starting commissioning, you should fill the heating system with water, including heated floors and radiators, and ensure that the chimney is ready.
An Ariston boiler is in operation, powered by a liquefied gas cylinder. Lately it has become scary to turn it on: the volume of the flame soars high. How can I fix and repair?
You need to look at why there is no flame control, and what has failed - the gearbox or flame regulator, or is there another reason for this phenomenon.
Malfunction of the boiler Class Evo. Suddenly it stopped turning on, only the fan runs non-stop. It displays errors 201 and 607. Can this be fixed?
Error 201 means a short or open circuit in the hot water circuit temperature sensor circuit. Error 607 - the pressure switch contacts are closed before the fan turns on.
In Egis Plus 24, the heating mode was turned off, leaving only hot water. It became impossible to start it: it says “Board failure”. How to carry out repairs yourself?
Measure the potential between zero and ground, there should be nothing. If the voltage is at least 2-3 V, then the boiler will write an error and the potential must be removed. Then you should find out the voltage in the network: at 180-190 V the board will also fail. If everything is in order, then the problem is in the board itself.
Ariston Genus 24 was connected and started displaying the “flame separation” error. How can this be eliminated?
There is clearly too much in the boiler high pressure gas The gas valve needs to be adjusted. There may also be a problem with the air supply to the boiler.
The Class 24 double-circuit boiler has stopped producing hot water, error 103 is displayed. What can you do yourself?
This error code indicates insufficient coolant circulation. You should check the water pressure in the DHW circuit; if it is low, there may be a leak. If replenishment does not give anything, or gives a short-term effect, you should call a specialist.
When you open the hot water tap, the Ariston Class 24 wall-mounted gas double-circuit boiler turns on, d38 is displayed on the display, and after 2-3 seconds. 5Р3 appears and immediately d38 again, after 2-3 seconds 5Р3 again and immediately d38 again. And so the information on the board changes during the first 20-25 seconds. heating water. Then the water heats up without problems and d38 is constantly lit on the screen. It started after they stopped heating the house, that is, the boiler
It only works to heat water. This is the first question. And second: After closing the hot water tap, error 104 lights up on the display. The boiler starts only after pressing RESET. What could be the cause of these problems?
Had the same problem. We decided to flush the secondary DHW heat exchanger. But you have to wash it every six months. The symptoms were the same. More. There is a special washing device that is connected to the input/output of the DHW circuit. If you use it every six months, then such washing is sufficient. If the heat exchanger is heavily contaminated with deposits, then it is necessary to remove the heat exchanger and “soak” it in a solution with citric acid(with vinegar).
We installed and commissioned the clas evo 24 ff boiler. There is a problem. The boiler does not pump the heating system; the first two radiators warm up. Heating polypropylene. At the same time, it does not produce any errors. What could be the problem? I would also like to add that the temperature quickly rises for about a minute and a half and the boiler goes out.
There is no circulation of the heating system, there may be a blockage or the shipping plugs have not been removed from the radiators, there may be air in both the pump and the system.
The Ariston clas system 24 ff gas boiler was put into operation. When starting up, the boiler does not always ignite; it is clear that there is a spark, a certain amount of gas is flowing (I noticed the meter readings), but the flame does not ignite. After 8 seconds, as expected, error 501 is displayed. Sometimes, at the moment of ignition, you can see a small flame flare up and go out, but sometimes it ignites without problems with a normal flame. I also noticed that the flame on the burner sometimes
of different strengths. I thought that this was related to the temperature of the coolant, but when the boiler is turned on and off several times, the flame is different at the same temperature. The boiler was installed what is called “as is”, i.e. no parameter adjustments were made. The only parameter that I tried to change was parameter 220 “Smooth ignition” - the factory setting is 47, I tried increasing it to 80 - it didn’t give any results, I returned it back.
I didn't change any other parameters. I also noticed that when the temperature setting is increased to 61 degrees, the device does not turn off, i.e. As it approaches the temperature, it gradually reduces the flame and continues to burn in this mode. When setting the temperature to 53 degrees, it warmed up and turned off, but then could not start due to the above problem. Find a specialist for such boilers in our outback
impossible, and the nearest center is 200 km away. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Please advise what test operations need to be done to identify the malfunction.
You need to slightly increase the minimum gas pressure on the gas. valve Reheating to the set temperature occurs for min. pressure. Adjustment (knob) of DHW - to maximum. The flow should correspond to the maximum (12 l/min). The first measurement (for gas) at the inlet, in static conditions, then at start-up. If the pressure drops below 14 mbar, do not touch the valve, otherwise you will lose all factory settings.
Tell me, I have a wall-mounted gas double-circuit boiler installed, Ariston Class 28 CF. When the DHW is turned on, the water temperature does not correspond to the temperature set on the screen. At first I didn’t pay attention to this, but lately the readings have been very different, I set it to 45, but the flow is about 38. How to fix it? Can you carry out repairs yourself?
Need checking and Maintenance with complete cleaning done.
After turning on the boiler (in heating and DHW mode), the green LEDs 50/60/70 and the yellow LED house light up, the boiler does not ignite. What to do?
This error is the presence of a flame when the gas valve is closed (false flame). The board needs to be repaired.
I have a wall-mounted boiler EGIS II 24 FF connected for three years of operation. During the year the fan relay failed several times, what was the reason? The fan is constantly running!
Contacts sticking. Perhaps the propeller is spinning hard, which is causing an increased current through the contacts. Try installing a relay with a high current. (higher than it was supposed to) the current is indicated on the relay body. Also check the contacts of the fan connector on the board and the contacts on the fan itself - perhaps somewhere the contact is not very good - because of this, the relays do not work for a long time. In boilers of this series, resetting this parameter (protection against
water hammer) is not provided for any of the three modifications of the control board.
The boiler is new. For some reason the DHW circuit is not working. The heating works fine. When I tried to turn on the hot water, the boiler only showed the temperature, but didn’t even start heating, I waited about 5 minutes.
The problem is with the three-way valve. The caliper let water in and ruined the mechanics of the servomotor. Both need to be changed.
A wall-mounted gas boiler BS II 24 CF NG has been installed. When the DHW is turned on, the yellow light (t-40) first lights up, and then it starts flashing. The water heats normally, the heating works, in general, everything works. Should there be a flashing light or some kind of system failure. When heating and hot water are turned on, it lights up and does not blink. They told me that it shouldn’t be like that, it should just burn. The boiler has just been installed, we are afraid of failures winter period.
The boiler was installed this spring, there were no problems. Now a rather strange breakdown has occurred - error 5p3 (flame separation) appears. Moreover, the error appears only if you set the temperature of the heating kennel below 60 degrees (the device tries to start, you hear ignition, the burner icon appears on the panel for a second, then it disappears and an error appears). If I set it to 60 degrees or higher, the problem goes away. What could it be?
This 5P3 error on these boilers may occur due to the switching power supply installed there. The potential that the ionization electrode sees as a result of combustion meets the potential of the boiler itself (which will be more than 5V) if it is not grounded, this is where this error can occur. A technician can check this by disconnecting the ground wire from the main control board and restarting the boiler at your desired temperature. the error should disappear. If this does not happen or your boiler is grounded. Then you need to look at the gas valve settings.
The gas boiler Ariston Egis plus 24 FF is in operation. When you open a hot water tap, almost immediately after opening, cold water begins to flow, then hot water for about 20 seconds, and again cold, again hot for the same approximately 20 seconds, and again cold, and so on ad infinitum. The display of the gas boiler shows err 109, judging by the instructions this is some kind of “plausibility text failure”. Can you tell me what kind of test this is?
Could this be causing the error and how can I fix this problem?
The boiler needs to be serviced.
Tell me about connecting the room thermostat to the boiler. I did everything according to the diagram that came with it. To begin with, I removed the jumper, the boiler did not start - this is normal! I connected the room thermostat, the device did not start, but when I turned the knob, there was a click in the thermostat somewhere above 23 degrees, the boiler started working, but it turned off and on without responding to the thermostat. I tried changing the thermostat
terminals, on the contrary, the device turns on up to 23 degrees, when you turn the thermostat knob there is a click and the boiler turns off, but even in this position it does not respond to the thermostat. Who knows, tell me, maybe I’m doing something wrong!
It probably turns off due to overheating of the coolant above the ordered temperature. Add boiler temperature.

Double-circuit gas appliances make our lives more comfortable and enjoyable. They are quite practical to use and suitable for heating country houses, and small apartments. They are used for heating industrial or warehouse buildings with an area of no more than 500 sq.m.

The advantages of Ariston boilers are that in addition to heating buildings in winter, they heat water used in everyday life all year round. This is quite convenient and does not require the installation of additional equipment.

General characteristics of Ariston boilers

The description of Ariston gas units must begin with the characteristics of their main part - the burner. This element is used to burn fuel and release thermal energy into the heating system.

Types of boiler burner:

  • regular
  • modulation

The modulation burner is more convenient to use. It provides automatic power control depending on the temperature of the device.

According to the type of exhaust of combustion products, burners are divided into:

Units with a closed burner are safer to use. Combustion products natural gas in this case they do not enter the room. The use of a chimney is not required. A coaxial pipe is simply connected to the device and taken out.

The design of the coaxial pipe provides for the presence of two layers, which ensures the simultaneous removal of waste and the flow of air from the street into the burner.

Equipment with an open burner requires the use of a chimney to remove combustion products.

Technical data of Ariston gas appliances

  • Ariston boilers are used for heating and water heating, that is, they are double-circuit. Each modification has its own characteristics, but the common type of fuel is gas.
  • The gas combustion chamber can be either open or closed. If there is a chimney, units with an open chamber are used. And in apartments of multi-storey buildings, where there are not always chimneys, equipment with a closed combustion chamber is used.
  • Power. Using this indicator, the gas consumption required to heat the room is calculated.
  • Compactness. Wall-mounted units are used in small, narrow rooms. Floor-standing units used in production or warehouse premises are heavier and require more space for installation.
  • Availability of a control unit. This element is indispensable when the water is turned off or when there is a sharp decrease in gas. In case of any malfunction, the unit will immediately turn off the device, which will prevent breakdown. It can also help you save fuel consumption.

Characteristics of Ariston boiler models

A distinctive feature of Ariston boilers is their high quality. After all, the name of the company is translated from Greek as “the best.”

Its products are especially popular among middle-income consumers. Gas boilers of this brand are purchased for heating rooms up to 500 sq. m. The company's products are universal. The transition to liquefied fuel is carried out only by replacing the burner.

Double-circuit wall-mounted gas appliances are practical to use. It is represented by three lines, each with its own modifications.

All boiler modifications have in common:

  • small size.
  • supply of hot water, in the absence of a centralized supply.

Gas boilers of different modifications differ in structure; what they have in common is their low cost and high-quality parts.

Basic equipment of units from Ariston:

  • double heat exchanger.
  • electronic control module gas burner.
  • carbon monoxide control.
  • microclimate support in a building or in a separate apartment.

>Cost of Ariston boilers

The average cost of Ariston Genus boilers is 54,000 - 72,000 rubles, Ariston Clas - 25,000 - 34,000 rubles, Ariston Egis - 27,000 - 34,000 rubles

Choosing a gas appliance for heating

Ariston products can be found in catalogs. There are many models of gas appliances available there. The main mistakes when choosing the wrong unit are made from a lack of information. Therefore, before visiting the store, you should familiarize yourself with the basic tips for choosing a wall-mounted gas appliance.

When choosing a boiler, consider the following points:

  • The size of the kitchen as the place where the heating device is most often installed. In the store, the choice begins by considering the overall dimensions of the device and selecting it individually for your kitchen.
  • Next, move on to the technical data and study the type of water heater in the device. If in the family a large number of person, it is not recommended to purchase a boiler with an instantaneous water heater.
  • In this case, it is more rational to purchase a boiler with a storage tank for hot water and select equipment for the amount of water that you will need for everyday use.
  • Evaluate the combustion chamber of gas equipment. It can be closed or open. It is recommended to choose a boiler with a closed chamber because it is safer to use. The presence of a chimney is not necessary, which is important in multi-storey buildings. All you have to do is buy a coaxial pipe and put it outside.

The most common error codes and troubleshooting methods

The most popular among Ariston boilers are wall models at 24 kW. During the operation of the Ariston gas boiler, failures and malfunctions may occur, like with any other equipment. The list of error codes is given in the instructions in the form of a table. Some of them are a malfunction of the automation (cause a protective shutdown of the device) and can be eliminated by clicking on “Reset”, and some signal malfunctions and interference in the operation of the boiler and require intervention (block the operation of the system).

All codes are divided into six groups according to the number of boiler components. The first value indicates the node in which the failure occurred, the rest indicate the error code. But please note that if security error repeats frequently, this indicates a malfunction.

The most common of them:

Ariston Clas Evo boiler control panel

  • error 501 - no ignition. Check whether the gas valve is closed; if there is supply, you should pay attention to the ionization electrode, it may get wet, dry it with a hairdryer. Look to see if it is bent; the distance from the electrode to the comb should be 8mm with a tolerance of 1mm; see if the connection between the electrode and the board is good;
  • error 607 - stuck contacts of the fan control relay; replacing the relay, and sometimes the entire electronic control unit, will help.
  • 101

Error 101 means overheating, the sensor has tripped, and after cooling the boiler starts up. The reason may be the accumulation of scale in the heat exchanger, as a result of which the flow decreases and the temperature increases, or interruptions in the operation of the circulation pump. Wash the heat exchanger, adjust or change the pump. Sometimes the reason may lie in the increased gas supply; tighten the valve; if this does not help, you need to adjust the gas valve.

    103,104,105,107

Error 103, error 104, error 105, error 107 occur when there is a violation of the water circulation in the circuit, its absence or low pressure. This happens when air has accumulated in the system; to remove it in Ariston Egis Plus 24 boilers (Ariston Egis Plus 24), press and hold the mode button for 10 seconds. On Ariston Matis and Ariston UNO boilers, hold the rezet button for no more than 6 seconds. The pump will run for 5 minutes without ignition, removing air from the system. then check the pressure, the norm is 1-1.2 bar, increase if necessary.

    Boiler Ariston Egis Plus 24

    108

Error 108 appears when there is insufficient water pressure in the heating circuit. Why the pressure drops - the cause may be a leak from the heating radiators; you should check the joints in the pipes. During the heating season, it will not be easy to notice a small leak, since a small leak will evaporate on hot batteries. You need to turn off the heating and add pressure to 2.5 Bar to determine the location of the leak.

The next reason may be leaking heat exchanger pipes. To eliminate this, you can solder the heat exchanger; if soldering is not possible, it needs to be replaced. The expansion tank may become depressurized or the membrane in the expansion tank may become unusable - seal the tank or change the membrane.

The tank itself may also leak; this can be determined by pressing the spool valve at the top of the tank. If this causes water to escape, change the tank. How to increase the pressure - you can use a homemade original device consisting of a plastic bottle, a tap and a spool. On plastic bottle, use a tap to cut a thread on the lid so that you can attach the tap to it.

WITH reverse side drill a hole to attach the spool to it. We insert the spool into the inside of the bottle and secure it. We pour water into the bottle, close the tap and connect the heating system to it through a hose, connect the pump to the spool and, pumping it, pour the water into the heating system. We repeat the procedure of pumping water into the system until the pressure normalizes to 1.5 Atm.

    109

Error 109 appears when excess pressure above 3 Bar and is considered one of the rare occurrences. To eliminate it, you need to relieve the pressure, as prescribed in the instructions for the device, using the Mayevsky tap. if this does not help, most likely the reason lies in the secondary heat exchanger.

When the partition inside the heat exchanger collapses, there may be a fistula in it, and mixing of liquids begins. Water from the water supply, which has a higher pressure, begins to flow into the heating system, resulting in an increase in pressure. What to do if this happens - eliminating the fistula or replacing the heat exchanger will help solve this problem.

    117

Error 117, according to the instructions for the Ariston BS 24 FF unit, means insufficient circulation. To eliminate this, press the reset button, in this case the system will check and adjust the temperature difference at the inlet and outlet of 3.5 degrees in 8 seconds.

Reset button on the Ariston boiler - “reset”

    201

If there is a break in the circuit or a short circuit of the sensor at the supply to the hot water supply circuit, error 201 appears. You should check the contacts, perhaps they have oxidized, or the wire has come loose, or the sensor itself is faulty and will have to be replaced.

    302

Error 302 appears on the display when there is no circuit between the control board and the display. The reason may be a broken contact or oxidation; in this case, the contacts should be connected or cleaned. The control board may also fail and requires replacement.

    303

Error 303 means the main control board is faulty; the only solution to the problem is to replace it.

    304

Error 304 also appears if the control board is faulty and appears if more than 15 resets are performed within 15 minutes.

    Ariston boiler board

    307,308

Error 307, error 308 also appears if the control board is faulty; pressing the reset button will help correct the situation.

    501

Code 501 is described above in the most common errors section.

    601

On models Ariston Egis Plus 24 (Ariston Egis Plus 24) CF, class 24 FF and others, with an open combustion chamber, error 601 means no traction. The sensor blocks the operation of the column in case of interference in the smoke removal system.

This blocking is temporary; after 12 minutes the system will go into operating mode if the cause is eliminated, otherwise it will happen again. To eliminate this, clean the chimney; if the chimney is free, check the serviceability of the draft sensor.

    604

Error 604 occurs when the fan speed is low or the Hall sensor is faulty. You should check the fan and sensor; if a breakdown is found, replacement is required.

    Hall Sensor

    607

A description of the cause and method of elimination is described above in the most frequently repeated errors.

    a01

Error a01 blocks the operation of the boiler due to a failure of automatic ignition. May occur at low unstable voltage in the network, install a stabilizer. Polarity can also have an effect, in some cases the problem can be eliminated by changing the polarity in the socket, turning the plug over, changing the phase to zero.

In addition, there may be problems with the flame ionization sensor. Check if it is clogged, bent, or the wire connecting the sensor to the board may be broken or oxidized. Solder or strip the wire.

    e34

Error E34 means a malfunction of the pneumatic relay when the fan is running. What to do - check the relay and replace it if necessary.

    e108

Error e108 means a drop in pressure in the heating circuit. The cause and solution to the problem are described above in the description of code 108.

    sp2

Error sp2 (5р2) means that the second ignition attempt was unsuccessful. If the boiler does not start, there may be several reasons - there may be a problem with the ionization sensor, low gas pressure, insufficient air flow, or removal of combustion products. Check the functionality of the sensor, the gas valve may be closed or not open enough, open the window and door, check if the chimney is clogged.

    Ionization electrode

    sp3 (5p3)

This fault code is described in frequently repeated errors.

    1p1,1p2 (ip2)

Error 1p1, 1p2 (ip2) appears in case of poor water circulation or its absence. The causes and solution to the problem are similar to code 108 and described above.

    6p1

Error 6p1 appears when problems arise with the air supply and smoke removal, and there is a delay in the relay response. To fix the problem, check whether there is enough air entering the room where the boiler is installed, whether the chimney is clogged, and whether the relay contacts are stuck.

    6p2

Error 6p2 also occurs when there are problems with smoke removal and air supply, and the contacts of the combustion product pressure switch open during normal operation of the fan. The solution to the problem is the same as when the 6p1 code appeared.

    Ariston boiler pressure switch

    Other breakdowns

In addition to those described above, the following codes may appear:

    • 608 - the system generates this error when the fan starts working, but the pressure switch does not work.
    • H45 - the last two digits may change. The reason lies in the NTSc sensor, there is no hot water at the outlet, the safety valve is leaking. If there is no hot water, but the heating system is working, most likely the water flow sensor is faulty or clogged with debris.

Another reason may be that the turbine blades have worked too hard, stuck to the housing, this can interfere with rotation, replace the blades or the turbine itself.

The second reason in this situation may be the NTC sensor; to check its functionality, measure the resistance at its contacts with a multimeter; if it is unstable, replace the sensor with a new one. If the safety valve is leaking, the gaskets may be worn out, replace them.

    NTC sensor

How to determine the error code if the device does not have a display or does not have a dial, such as on the Ariston BS II 24FF model? This device is equipped with indicator lights, thanks to which you can determine the breakdown. So, for example, if the 90 indicator and the crossed out water drop icon are on, this means that the boiler has overheated and is blocked. To eliminate this, you need to check the pressure switch and its connection to the board.

    Troubleshooting of Ariston BS boilers

The Ariston BS 24 gas boiler cannot start. When you hold the on/off key, the burner works. If you press the button, the unit immediately goes out. Can you tell me the reason for the breakdown?
The thermocouple has probably failed or the gas valve has broken down. Low gas pressure in the inlet pipeline may also occur. Sometimes there is a lack of voltage on the electronic board.
Recently a problem occurred. The start is very difficult. The igniter lights, but the main burner does not fire. I just can’t understand what is the reason?
Apparently, there is damage to parts of the ignition unit. It is necessary to service the unit and clean the ignition device.
Why did the Ariston BS 15 FF wall-mounted boiler stop turning off while the set temperature was being set? Heating goes up to 85 degrees, then it breaks down. After the restart operation, the cycle begins again.
Apparently the board is not in order, the temperature sensor is faulty, and the overheat protection button is broken. It is quite possible that the automation settings failed.
I would like to know why the boiler does not heat the water above 70C? I need to set it higher, but the screen says it's the maximum setting. How to increase the heating?
If the device does not increase the temperature of the heating circuit, then the following factors can be assumed. The settings limit the maximum heating temperature to no higher than 70C. There is a decrease in draft in the chimney.
Ariston BS II 24 FF performs its functions unsatisfactorily in the heating mode of the DHW system. The tap flows alternately cold water, then hot. Tell me, what is causing this problem?
Factors causing the problem may be as follows. Cold water is mixed in because the three-way valve has failed. The heat exchanger is clogged. It needs to be cleaned.
There is a tap under the boiler; water leaks from it regularly. The unit itself does not work. What needs to be done?
Apparently, there is a coolant discharge from the safety valve. This sign indicates an increase in pressure in the system. In addition, the system feed valve may be open or the conservator tank needs to be pumped up.
Explain why the pressure increases intensely and at the same time the safety valve opens? The screen always displays the heating icon during the heating cycle of the device. What to do?
There is a breakdown of the heating circuit temperature sensor. There is no normal circulation in the heating line.
What was the problem when the BS 24 FF gas boiler kept switching off? Let's say today the piezo ignition failed to work at all. Boiler maintenance was done at the beginning of the month. What could it be?
We can assume that there are malfunctions in the smoke exhaust device. You must perform a chimney inspection. Incorrect operation of the electric ignition will mean damage to any part in the event of a voltage drop or water penetration.
Please help me figure out the chimney pipe? For 2 days the reverse draft appeared, and the smoke began to flow directly into the room. I made the chimney myself. It consists of metal pipe. It looks like there was an error in the calculations.
The boiler works great on hot water, but when you turn on the heating, the water quickly comes to a boil and the device stops working. What is the problem and how can I fix it?
Perhaps the circulation pump is inoperative, the control board is faulty, or the temperature sensor is faulty. It is also possible that the filter mesh is clogged.
At the DHW stage, the unit began to alternately produce cold and hot water. Help me understand why this is happening. How to adjust water heating?
Apparently, the heating system is dirty or the heat exchanger needs to be cleaned. In addition, the pressure control sensor may be faulty or the circulation pump may be faulty.
The main reason may be an incorrect configuration of the chimney duct. Sometimes there is soot contamination, which sufficiently reduces its efficiency. In addition, it is recommended to check the ventilation in the room.
The Ariston BS gas boiler is in operation. The device instantly sets the temperature to 96 C, and then stops when it overheats. Later, when it cools down, it goes into reboot. How to fix the problem?
Failure of the overheating functions indicates a lack of circulation in the system. It is mainly necessary to control the position of the radiator valves. They need to be opened. Afterwards, the filter element is checked for contamination, and it is also necessary to make sure that the heat exchange device does not contain dirt.
I connected this unit in 2015. After approximately 2 months, the device suddenly began to make noise. Explain why the noise occurs?
Most likely, there is scale in the heat exchanger. If the water is hard, then over time lime will be deposited on the walls of the radiator pipes.
I am going to connect an Ariston BS II 15 FF boiler to heat the house. Please tell me how to properly put it into operation?
To ensure that the boiler apparatus is put into operation correctly, the following steps must be taken. We connect the electrical power to the device. Open the gas tap. Then we start the burner device. Then adjust the desired temperature.
We want to carry out maintenance. Please advise how to drain the coolant from the device?
In accordance with the manual, this work is performed as follows. Disconnect the device from the network. Close the gas valve. Open the automatic air vent. Open the drain valve. Next, collect the spilled water. Otherwise, you can drain the water using relief valve. This valve is located at the bottom of the device.
Explain to me how to diagnose a 3-way valve? I think it is not opening correctly. In heating mode, it weakly pumps the distant batteries, but in the DHW mode the pipe for supplying heating water under the boiler unit is heated.
That's right, you need to inspect the three-way valve for acidification of the rod in the intermediate state. We also recommend diagnosing the heating system itself.
I have a BS 24 CF boiler in my house. Until this time it performed its functions properly. At the moment, after 1 minute after start, the device goes out.
It seems that he is unable to force water into the system. Explain what this reason is? A likely factor in this damage may be an ignition electrode that does not see the flame, or a lack of circulation.
Just yesterday a problem emerged with this unit. While working, he began to whistle. I tried restarting and it was successful, but there were no changes. Perhaps someone can tell me what's wrong?
Very often, a sharp whistle occurs when the pressure on the injectors is adjusted incorrectly gas burner device. It is necessary to check the gas pressure adjustments and correct if necessary.
The boiler was recently filled with water, and the unit began to function incorrectly. For example, if you set any temperature, and the heating mode only reaches 22 degrees, and then the unit stops. Could you tell me what happened?
If water gets on the control board unit, it can be assumed that it is not working correctly. We advise you to reset it by completely turning off the unit from the power supply. Then turn it on again and test its performance.
A device of the same model was put into operation two years ago. Today, at the moment of start, the wick burns for 8 seconds, but the main burner does not maintain the flame, and because of this the device goes out. How can I fix the problem?
The ignition machine is probably faulty or there is a problem with the burner. In any case, it is necessary to check whether the phasing was not disrupted when connecting to the electrical network.
I independently commissioned the same model in the middle of this year. About 4 months later, a malfunction occurred in the DHW circuit, but the heating mode operates normally. I tried to open the hot water tap, but the device only displays the temperature and doesn’t even think about heating it up. Why doesn't the hot water supply work?
Most likely the 3-way valve is faulty. It must be replaced.
Tell me why the boiler is equipped with a safety temperature sensor?
This part blocks the gas supply to the burner when the water in the main heat exchanger overheats.
The primary heat exchanger needs to be flushed and cleaned. Tell me what needs to be done in order to properly disconnect it?
The main heat exchanger is easily removed from the boiler unit using a regular screwdriver. Below is the dismantling procedure. We drain the water from the device using a drain valve. Then we empty it DHW system. Unscrew the screws securing the heat exchanger and pull it out of the frame.
Started up this unit. Presumably after three months the water pressure in the device decreased. Often he slows it down and stops working. In other words, it does not hold pressure at all. Why is this happening?
If the device does not increase water pressure, the supply valve is probably leaking. When a shutdown occurs and the water pressure drops sharply to zero, the 3-way valve is damaged.
Tell us how to clean the cold water filter?
The initial stage is to drain the water from the DHW circuit. Secondly, unscrew the flow sensor nut. Then we remove the sensor and filter from the cavity. After this, we clean it from accumulated impurities and dirt.
The device could make a buzzing noise when starting up, but now the noise is much louder. Initially the sound disappeared quickly, but now it lasts longer. Has anyone observed such a problem?
The appearance of excess noise indicates the presence of mineral deposits inside the heat exchanger, the heating of which occurs unevenly due to different wall thicknesses. The more dirty the heat exchanger is, the more pronounced the rumble, and accordingly the heat transfer decreases.
The unit is functioning, although water does not appear to be circulating in the system. The return pump heats up noticeably. How to fix this?
Apparently, the mud filter is clogged or the faucet is closed somewhere, which prevents the passage of coolant. The circulation pump may also be faulty.
What causes hot water to stop heating? The water flows out very warm. Explain what happened?
Problems are being clarified in the following areas. If the DHW temperature sensor is damaged, it should be replaced. It is possible that the device’s power settings for DHW heating have failed.
The flame breaks are periodically visible during ignition. The burner is clean, everything is fine with the chimney, the draft is good. What could be wrong?
The unit does not detect a spark due to weak signal from the combustion mechanism. Here you need to check the wire between the ionization sensor and the electrode. It probably needs to be tightened up. There may also be damage to the sensor insulation, which needs to be replaced.

Some boiler malfunctions may be caused by incorrect parameters in the service menu settings. This can happen, for example, after unqualified intervention or... as once happened in my practice, after flooding the boiler board with water.

Of course, first of all, the service menu serves to configure, adjust and diagnose the operation of the boiler. In this article I will share how to enter the service menu of the Ariston Class 24 FF boiler and how to change the parameters, as well as give the values that were set in my boiler from the factory.

Before you begin any settings, it is important to carefully consider the menu structure, as well as understand whether you need to intervene and change any parameters. Incorrect intervention can lead to serious problems. For example, there is a parameter that is set depending on the boiler version and is used by specialists when replacing the board.

Considering all of the above, you should understand that some of the parameters I have given as “Factory settings” may differ from those you need specifically, and therefore you carry out all these movements and settings at your own peril and risk.

    Quick navigation through the article

    Ariston boiler menu structure

At first it may seem complicated, but once you figure it out, everything will be simple and clear, so:

Each parameter is indicated by three digits digital code. For example 228 (this is just a parameter code that depends on the boiler version)

The first digit of the three-digit code means a separate menu group; the boiler has six separate menu groups, each responsible for its own settings section. Here they are.

    2 - Boiler settings

3 - Solar collector and storage boiler

    4 - Zone 1 parameters

    5 - Zone 2 parameters

    7 - Testing and maintenance

    8 — Technical parameters.

The second digit of the three-digit code indicates the submenu, and the third is the parameter itself to which access is granted.

For example, code 228, already known to us, is deciphered as follows: 2 - Boiler settings (this is the Menu), 2 - Basic boiler settings (Submenu), 8 - Boiler version (Parameter).

So by typing the three-digit code 228 we get access to the set value of this parameter, which, according to the table, can vary from 0 to 5 and depends on the boiler version.

I will provide tables with menu codes and a description of what is regulated by a specific code below, but for now let’s figure out how to enter the boiler service menu.

    Boiler service menu

For all manipulations with switching modes, only 4 buttons are used - Plus, Minus, Ok/Menu, ESC.

It is important to understand that not all boiler menu items will be available to you; some of them will only become available when additional devices are connected to the boiler, such as external sensors or a solar collector.

And most menu items are accessible only by service code, I’ll talk about this below, but for now let’s “practice on cats”

Our cats will have meanings that are open to free access. But first, read how to work with the menu.

How to work with the menu

By pressing the “OK” button once, the number 2 will blink on the digital indicator - this will be the first digit of the future three-digit code (Menu Group Number)

Using the plus and minus buttons you can change this value from group number 2 to any other group. To fix the selected group for further entering the code number, you need to press “OK” again - after this the second digit of the future three-digit code begins to blink (Submenu)

Having selected a submenu, fix it by pressing the “OK” button again and similarly select and fix the third digit (Parameter)

All! Now the screen will no longer display the three-digit code itself, but the set value of this parameter, which can be changed by pressing “plus” or “minus”. Having made the necessary changes, do not forget to commit them by clicking “Ok”.

Please note that after selecting the desired menu, after a few seconds of inactivity, a three-digit code will begin to be alternately displayed (to remind you where you are) and the parameter corresponding to this menu.

The ESC button is used to exit the settings menu and return to the previous step. The exit is carried out step by step, one press is equal to one step back.

    Let's practice

Now, if you want, practice to better understand the switching order. For example, enter menu code 701; this will turn on the forced air removal mode, essentially turning on the pump in the boiler for 6 minutes.

When this mode is turned on, the “P I -” symbol will light up on the display. You can exit the “Anti-Air” mode without waiting 6 minutes by pressing ESC.

Then, using ESC, try to go back and switch to mode 300, which means (Set water temperature in the boiler) in the values you can see the temperature that is currently set by your DHW regulator.

How to enter closed menu sections using an access code

So, if you understand how to work in the menu, then it’s time to move on to more serious things. The vast majority of all settings are protected from accidental intervention by an access code. Therefore, to begin setting up the boiler, we perform the following steps.

Press “Ok” several times until the indicator shows the value 222 - Then hold down “Plus” until the value becomes 234 - then “OK” again - Everything is ready!

Now we have one number 2 constantly glowing and another 2 blinking - Which, as you understand, means the following - Menu 2 is turned on and you can select a submenu, and then a parameter. By setting the required three-digit code and clicking “OK”, we will see the parameter value that can be changed.

Use the ESC button to go back and move on to select other menu items and submenus.

Tables with three-digit codes, descriptions and set values

The values added in the white fields are the values used in my boiler. If there are no corrections, then I have the same values as those printed in the table. To enlarge, click on the photo of the table.

Maintenance and startup of the Ariston Uno gas boiler

Preparing the Ariston Uno wall-mounted gas boiler for operation

If the Ariston Uno 24 mi boiler is installed in an apartment, it is necessary to check that all regulations regarding air supply and ventilation of the room are observed (in accordance with current regulations).

Periodically monitor the water pressure using the thermomanometer “L” and check (with the system cooled) that its value is between 0.2 and 1.3 bar.

If the pressure is below the minimum value, it must be restored using the filling valve located at the bottom of the boiler.

When the pressure reaches 0.7 bar, the valve must be closed. If the pressure drops very frequently, there may be a water leak in the system. In this case, the leak must be repaired.

Switching procedure - Press button “C”. The electronic device will ensure that the burner ignites without any manual intervention, depending on the command for heating or hot water preparation.

If after 10 seconds the burner does not ignite, the safety devices of the Ariston Uno 24 mi boiler will block the gas outlet and the red light diode “G” will light up.

To turn on the boiler in this case, you must press the “B” button. If blockage occurs again, check that the gas valve is open.

Heating adjustment - You can adjust the water temperature in the heating circuit using knob “A”, setting the indicator in the interval between the minimum and maximum values. The temperature may vary from 45°C to 80°C.

Control using a chronothermostat - If a chronothermostat is installed, it is recommended to use knob “A” to keep the heating temperature setting at the maximum value for higher efficiency of the Ariston Uno 24 mi boiler.

Maintenance and service of wall-mounted gas boiler Ariston Uno 24 mi

Checking the tightness of the boiler hydraulic system, replacing gaskets and restoring tightness.

Leak test gas system boiler, replacing gaskets and restoring tightness.

Visual check of the general condition of the boiler.

After checking, disassemble and clean the combustion chamber.

    After checking, clean the injectors.

    Visual inspection of the primary heat exchanger: checking the condition of the plates; cleaning smoke channels heat exchanger;

Adjustment of normal gas flow: flow during ignition, at partial and full load.

    Checking the functioning of security systems: overheating; by exceeding working pressure;

    Checking the functioning of the safety system of the gas part of the Ariston Uno boiler: protection in the absence of flame (flame sensor); safety of gas valve operation;

    Checking electrical connections.

Monitoring the operation of the DHW circuit (checking performance and outlet temperature).

Determination of characteristics of combustion products.

General check of the boiler operation.

Checking the serviceability and correct location of the smoke sensor. If necessary, replace with a smoke detector with similar characteristics.

    Removing the cover

To approach the internal elements of the Ariston Uno 24 mi boiler you need to:

    Unscrew the screws located at the bottom of the boiler;

    Turn the mounting plates outward;

Pull the lower part of the front panel forward until the central latches come out and remove it upwards.

Removing the casing and turning the control panel provides access to the internal elements of the boiler.

Initial start-up of the Ariston Uno 24 mi boiler

When you turn on the device for the first time, you must:

Make sure that: electrical connections and grounding are carried out correctly and a two-pole switch is installed with a minimum gap of open contacts of at least 3 mm; The plug for the automatic air vent of the heating system is loose; the pressure in the heating system is not
below 0.7 bar; gas valve is closed

Unblock the circulation pump by unscrewing the plug on the front of the pump housing and turning the pump shaft with a screwdriver.

Connect the power supply to the boiler by pressing button “C” and set handle “A” between the minimum and maximum marks to activate the “winter” mode. This will turn on the circulation pump; after 7 seconds the lock will be activated due to lack of flame.

Leave the Ariston Uno boiler in this state until the air is bled off.

    To remove air pockets, loosen the deaerator plug of the circulation pump; bleed the radiators again; on a short time open the hot water tap;

    Check the pressure in the heating system; if it has dropped, open the filling tap and increase the pressure to 0.7 bar;

Check the serviceability of the exhaust gas removal system.

Make sure the required shutoff valves are open.

Open the gas tap and check the tightness of all connections, including the main burner ( gas meter should not record gas consumption). In any case, check the tightness of the connections using soap suds, and eliminate gas leaks, if any.

Press the ignition unlock button “B”. The ignition device will ignite the main burner; if this doesn't happen with first time, repeat the same operation.

Check the minimum and maximum gas pressure on the main burner and adjust the pressures.
