Installation of thermal panels with clinker tiles. Advantages and features of clinker facade thermal panels. Facade thermal panels with clinker tiles

As experts note, the use of clinker thermal panels in construction today is an investment in your home. These façade structures help reduce heat loss by 100-200%. At the same time, the wall does not increase in thickness. For example, to achieve such thermal insulation characteristics of a brick wall, you need to build a very thick wall.

IN winter period facade thermal panels protect the house from hypothermia, and in the summer, on the contrary, they help keep the house pleasantly cool. If connected correctly panel slabs During installation, you can completely limit yourself from the appearance of dampness and mold in the building. In addition, these designs can highlight the architectural beauty of the structure.

What are thermal panels?

The thermal panel consists of a plate made of rigid polyurethane foam with clinker tiles introduced using a special technology. The main purpose of thermal panels is to organize an environmentally friendly, durable home.

The thickness of the slab, depending on needs, can be 40, 60 or 80 mm. Basically, the thickness is calculated based on the climate zone in which the systems will be used.

Main characteristics of thermal panel sheets:

  • thermal conductivity 0.025 W/m2;
  • low weight of one slab (10-23 kg);
  • flammability class (G-1) and fire hazard class (K-01);
  • water absorption no more than 2-4%;
  • adhesion to the base more than 0.3 MPa.

Clinker tiles are natural material. Together with high-quality insulation, clinker tiles can give the facade of a building a unique, elegant look, and at the same time provide it with thermal insulation protection.

Clinker tiles, due to their low water absorption rate, are one of the most durable materials, and panels with clinker tiles are, accordingly, an excellent material for insulating the facade of a house.

Thermal panels perform two main functions: thermal insulation and decoration of the building facade. They have fastening guides that are formed in the factory, thanks to which the problems of mechanical stress and moisture penetration into the room completely disappear.

Types of facade thermal panels

Facade thermal panels with clinker surface are produced various types and sizes.

Clinker tiles can be used in several sizes: 240x71 mm or 300x150 mm. Thermal panels themselves
can be in sizes 1130x645x90 mm and 1000x700x90 mm. The thickness of the insulating layer of the panel can be 40, 60 or 80 mm.

During installation, the joints between the elements are filled with a solution, which not only hides the openings, but also strengthens the entire structure. The solution, as a rule, is matched to the color of the facing material.

The color range of clinker cladding includes over 50 colors and different textures.

According to the material used and the class of insulation, all facade thermal panels can be divided into 3 groups:

  1. PPU - thermal panels on polyurethane foam.
  2. EPPS - thermal panels on extruded polystyrene foam.
  3. PSB - thermal panels on polystyrene foam.

Thermal panels made of polyurethane foam (PPU) are quite durable structures (if only the panels are manufactured in a factory). The process of their production is quite simple: a polyurethane foam mixture is poured onto a clinker tile into a mold, after which the slab is cut to the required size.

Thermal panels based on extruded polystyrene foam (EPS) are manufactured using computer technology. Such panels are strong, durable, chemically resistant, resistant to temperature changes, but as a result have a high cost.

Thermal panels on expanded polystyrene (PSB) - are manufactured in special form, where clinker tiles are covered with polystyrene foam granules. After this, steam is supplied to the mold, which causes the granules to sinter together (the process takes only 7-8 minutes).

Facade thermal panels with clinker tiles

Facade thermal panels with clinker tiles began to be used in construction relatively recently, however, thanks to their advantages, they quickly managed to attract great attention among construction companies. These designs have a number of advantages:

  • impeccable façade cladding;
  • relatively light weight (the slabs do not exert much load on the walls and foundation of the building);
  • good thermal insulation characteristics (reduces energy costs by up to 60%);
  • durability and reliability ( appearance clinker tiles are eternal);
  • safety and environmental friendliness of the materials used in the system;
  • variety of architectural solutions;
  • ease of processing and ease of installation;
  • low operating costs.

Installation technology of facade thermal panels

Installation of clinker thermal panels consists of 4 main steps. In general, finishing a small private house will take about 2-3 weeks. The most basic thing you need to prepare for installation work, if they are not performed by specially trained personnel, these are screwdrivers and self-tapping screws.

  • Initially, the horizon is marked along the entire perimeter of the building, the diagonal of each wall is checked, after which the vertical beacons are fixed.
  • Horizontal profiles are nailed along the beacons, after which the first row of thermal panels with clinker tiles is attached (from left to right). When all the slabs of the first row are already installed, foaming occurs liquid foam (polyurethane foam) formed seams. Also in some cases it is applied glue mixture on the end of the thermal panel (on the upper end, where the next row of plates will be located).
  • The remaining rows of clinker thermal panels are attached (also from left to right). Similar to the first row - the seams are foamed with polyurethane foam.
  • Unstitching. The seams of clinker panels are filled with special frost-resistant grout, which is intended specifically for facade works (finishing work must be carried out at positive temperatures).

Video instructions for the technology of installing facade thermal panels with clinker tiles.

It is worth noting that facade clinker thermal structures can be installed at any time of the year. The walls do not need to be leveled or prepared in any way before installation work. Thermal panels can be mounted on plastered or unplastered surfaces, wooden beams, concrete blocks, glass magnesite sheet, brick wall solid/hollow brick or any other finish.

Today you can hear a huge number of recommendations from experts and manufacturers on how to insulate a house and at the same time improve its appearance. One of the many methods involves the use of a material known as façade thermal panels with clinker tiles. The technology for cladding external walls with thermal panels is simple and obvious - ready-made slabs with glued clinker tiles are laid on the walls, like sheets of plasterboard, fixed with self-tapping screws, and protective covering ready.

What is a thermal panel

In essence, this is a new type of facing material. Previously insulating the walls of a private house or even multi-story building was carried out by laying mineral fiber on a frame made of metal profiles, after which the thermal insulation was covered with waterproofing and sewn up with corrugated sheets. As it swells facade insulation Due to moisture, the entire cladding could fail in a matter of months. In addition, the appearance of the insulated building acquired the features of an industrial premises.

In the new material, the developers of the thermal panel with clinker tiles took into account most of the problems, so the modern facade material has a completely different design:

  • The basis of the facade thermal panel is a thick sheet of foamed polymer - polyurethane or polystyrene, with a thickness of 35 to 90 mm;
  • On outer surface The thermal panel is pressed into a protective layer of thin clinker tiles. Thickness can vary from 7 to 15 mm. Most often, clinker tiles are painted and laid out on the surface of a thermal panel in the form of an imitation of brickwork;
  • Some brands of façade thermal panels add an internal protective layer of fire-retardant-treated OSB board, but most often a thin layer of plastic is applied to the polystyrene foam, closing the pores and making the surface of the foam more rigid.

While the use of sheet foam and polyurethane foam for thermal insulation of facade surfaces has been known for a long time, the strength of fastening clinker tiles to panels always raises certain concerns.

For your information! Each manufacturer imprints clinker tiles into a layer of foamed polymer using its own technology, but, in any case, the fastening strength is very high; clinker tiles can only be torn off from the thermal panel with a piece of insulation.

Practice of using thermal panels with clinker tiles

Today there are several manufacturers of thermal panels on the market with cladding made of clinker tiles, porcelain stoneware and concrete tiles. The most famous manufacturers of facade clinker thermal panels:

  1. Germany - companies "Stroeher", "Feldhaus Klinker", "ABC". The most high quality and the price of the panel. average cost square of material 45-50 Euro, or from 3500-4000 rubles. per m 2. German facade thermal panels have a reinforcing mesh in the thermal insulation layer and cladding OSB board inside, more expensive models are equipped with a layer of fireproof coating;
  2. Poland - companies "Cerrard", "Przysucha". The price is 20% lower than the products of German companies, all facade thermal panels are produced on original German equipment using licensed technologies;
  3. Russian manufacturers, for example, "Termosit", "FTP-Europa", "Workshop facade materials", "UMB". The price of facade thermal panels with Russian-made clinker tiles is 20-25% lower than the cost of European analogues. Depending on the thickness of the insulation and clinker tiles, the cost per square can range from 1900 to 2100 rubles.

Reviews of the practical results of finishing with facade panels can be seen in the video:

Important! Many domestic companies produce thermal panels from imported raw materials and components, using licensed equipment, which allows, as in the case of Termosit, to certify products and successfully export them abroad.

The most expensive are slabs based on polyurethane foam, cheaper ones with insulation made of polystyrene foam. The main difference is resistance to weathering and environment, in addition, PPU has more high temperature thermal decomposition and ignition.

Material characteristics

In design, façade thermal panels are very close to SIP panels, with the difference that the outer layer of the first material is made of clinker tiles, which are very dense and resistant to temperature changes, frost and heat. With clinker water absorption of 2-4%, the calculated frost resistance is 150 cycles. The insulation itself is capable of absorbing moisture within 0.5-1%.

The fastening strength of clinker tiles is 3 kg/cm2, which means that in order to tear off at least one element of the tile layer, a force of at least 10 kg will be required.

Standard panel dimensions are 113 by 65 cm, weight, depending on the thickness of the external clinker tiles, ranges from 10 to 23 kg. In the first case, even one person can install the panel, but in reality an assistant will be required, since the facade slab must be leveled and secured.

Most manufacturers of facade thermal panels claim that the facing material will last on the walls of a building without repair for at least 25 years. All models of thermal panels have a fire resistance class of G-1, that is, they do not support combustion.

Weak point facade panels PUF and PPS are considered to be highly susceptible to ultraviolet radiation. If you leave the insulation in the sun for at least a week, the outer layer of the polymer, even in the absence of external damage, will crumble into grains over time. Therefore, European materials, in addition to external clinker tiles, have an OSB coating on the back side of the panel.

In addition to high durability, according to manufacturers, the thermal panel provides good vapor permeability of walls at the level of cement-sand plaster. The indicator for individual samples ranges from 0.05 mg/m*h*Pa.

Installation and operating features

The laying and installation of thermal panels on the walls of a building can be done in two ways. In the first case for small houses and buildings, the panels can be fixed directly to the walls of the building using dowels. Some manufacturers make ready-made holes for fasteners. Wall thermal panels are assembled by tongue-and-groove joining and applying mounting sealant and with trimming to the width of the wall.

If the walls have at least a slight curvature, installation must be carried out using preliminary lathing from wooden slats or wall metal profile.

The sheathing is attached with glue and self-tapping screws to the walls of the building and carefully aligned along the stretched cords. Installation of facade thermal panels begins with installing a starting strip at a height of 2-5 cm above the surface of the ground or blind area.

Next, the corner segments are installed, and rows of clinker facade thermal panels are laid out sequentially along the perimeter of the building. If starting bar installed exactly along the horizon, the geometry of the tiles will be maintained equally in all areas.

After installation, the holes for the wrapped or driven dowels are covered with mastic, the joints between the individual thermal panels are rubbed with a special weather-resistant putty on acrylic base. Thus, a sealed clinker tile surface is obtained that does not allow rainwater. In the lower part facade cladding The gap between the ground and the edge of the thermal panel is closed with an overlay strip.

Features of using thermal panels

Fastening facade panels to walls is very simple; in most cases, work of this volume and complexity can be done with your own hands. The cost of installation work is 30-50% of the price of the material. But despite their apparent simplicity, installation of thermal panels requires very high-quality and scrupulous execution of all operations, from leveling the sheathing to grouting the seams. Otherwise, situations may arise as in the video:

Clinker tiles often have to be cut diamond blade, and the insulation layer with a thermal knife to prevent crumbling of the polyurethane foam on the cut surface. And although sellers and manufacturers claim the high strength of clinker tiles, the slab can be dropped from a height of human height to concrete blind area, after which part of the clinker may burst or chip.

Conclusion

The use of façade thermal panels is more expensive than insulation with mineral wool or PPS sheets. But the quality, durability and appearance of such cladding are beyond competition. It is not necessary to use insulation maximum thickness. For mid-latitudes, a 60mm layer will be sufficient, providing similar insulation to 350mm of brickwork.

Often, when finishing many types of buildings, builders use special kind coverings - facade thermal panels. This little-known material has gained sufficient popularity and is used nowadays by many construction companies.

This coating has great prospects for development due to its elegant appearance, as well as thermophysical properties. There is also a second name for this product - clinker thermal panels. This name was based on upper layer, consisting of ordinary clinker tiles.

The main component of facade thermal panels is polyurethane foam. Thanks to his wonderful thermal insulation characteristics he has practically no equal. The main component of this material are small air bubbles. Because of this, polyurethane foam is a durable and strong material. It can last up to 50 years! This material is also harmless, that is, it does not emit toxic substances.

Advantages of facade thermal panels

This type of thermal panels:

  • does not require special care;
  • does not require special cleaning using various means;
  • does not absorb moisture, therefore, cannot be affected by fungus.

Main plus The fact that thermal panels are environmentally friendly helps them stand out from the competition. Installation is carried out in the shortest possible time, and the work does not require many craftsmen - two people can do it perfectly. Since the fasteners are installed on self-tapping screws, detaching the damaged panel and replacing it with a new one will not be difficult. Finishing can be produced both inside and outside the house, and this fact will not affect durability. Strength of this material eliminates the possibility of causing any mechanical damage and reduces it to a minimum. Small weight this material allows you to work with ease without applying special effort during installation.

Disadvantages of facade thermal panels

Specifications

This type of thermal panels is resistant to organic influences such as fungus or mold. Well expressed durability to chemical damage. The strength of the product is quite high. To stretch this material, you need to apply a force of 300 kPa, and if you try to break it during bending - 500 kPa. Heat loss are minimized and constitute a percentage 1.7 times lower than any other finishing material. Service life order 30−50 years! The material does not deteriorate even at critical temperatures and can be perfectly preserved at temperatures from 100 °C to +150 °C.

Selection of clinker tiles

This issue is a sore point for many clients, since when choosing, their eyes simply begin to wander due to abundance of flowers. As a result, choosing and purchasing turn into agony and bring a lot of worry. Now we will consider a small selection scheme that will help you finally decide.

Choosing the color of clinker tiles

The choice is made based on interior premises. After the choice has already been made, ask the manager to lay out the tiles of the range you like on the stand to see how it will look and whether there was a mistake with the choice.

Choosing a tile texture

Today there are 6 main types textures tiles: glossy, self made, matte, rough, with potholes, and also with tints of colors.

If the installation takes place indoors, it is recommended to install tiles with a rough surface, since at the slightest light the tiles begin to shimmer and play with colors. If tiles are needed for installation on the floor, then it is better to choose the one that has the least slip. When choosing, you need to carefully look at the tiles up close to really understand whether they are right for you or not. It is better to contact a specialist, he will definitely advise the option you need. If you have already decided on the choice of tile color and texture, then the next step is to choose grout.

Choice of grout

It is necessary to proceed with the choice with extreme caution and understanding of full responsibility. colors grout, since grout is a kind of shell, the frame of our tiles. It is necessary to achieve the result of the contrast of our tiles with the grout. After all, if the grout matches the color of the tile, then our masonry will practically not be visible from afar. It should be either a little lighter or darker, this will create the perfect color contrast. The most common mistake The choice of grout is the choice of two or more colors. Under no circumstances should you do this, as the color of the surface will be disrupted and the installation will look inharmonious.

Manufacturers of facade thermal panels

The Ukrainian company has gained great popularity "Builddecor", which produces thermal panels according to European standards. This type of tile can surpass in quality even the most durable clinker ceramics. Facade thermal panels production Germany still have best quality and beautiful appearance. Finishing with these panels looks simply great, but the high price sometimes makes you give up this pleasure.

The company operates in Russia LLC NPO Rospromtekhnologiya, located in the city of Novosibirsk. The products of this company can also be purchased in the following cities:

  • Saint Petersburg;
  • Rostov-on-Don;
  • Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk;
  • Ufa, and in many other parts of Russia.
  • We install a single perimeter altitude level. The diagonal of each wall should be equal. If there are diagonal deviations of 5 cm or more, then it is necessary to use lathing.
  • Along the entire room we mark a line that will serve as the beginning of the finishing. On it we install a water drain and a starting lath.
  • We fix the material. When installing, it is necessary to take into account the fact that the profile is fixed below the floor by 20-22 cm.
  • Fastening lighthouses along surface facades.
  • To prevent deformation of the entire structure, it is necessary to leave a small gap between the profile and the blind area.
  • If it is possible to deepen part of the façade thermal panel into the soil, then you can do without a base profile. For this purpose, smooth wooden frames are installed as a support. bars.

Installation usually starts with angle building. Self-tapping screws are used to fasten the panels. To prevent the panels from starting to come loose, we use about 9-10 self-tapping screws. Installation is carried out from left to right. We fill the resulting seams construction foam. After installation, the joints are grouted using a frost-resistant mixture. Grout seams are made immediately after installation, or a few days after.

When using most types facing materials There is always one problem that remains - the cost of heating the interior.

Facade thermal panels are one of the few types exterior finishing walls and facade, which allows you to minimize the cost of heating the house, while maintaining an attractive appearance and reliably protecting outer surface buildings from moisture.

Thermal panel is a direct alternative vinyl siding or, which are mounted on the sheathing and involve laying insulation between the linear guides. This façade cladding is in the best possible way retain heat with minimal investment - the result is a subtle, but functional and attractive finish. Besides, correct installation façade thermal panels eliminate the appearance of moisture and mold.

The service life of this finish is from 50 to 100 years. The exact number varies depending on the quality of installation and climate. Additional function thermal panels are designed to counteract the heating of rooms during the hot season.

When using thermal panels it is possible to imitate a brick surface

Despite the fact that thermal panels are primarily a heat insulator, their design has not suffered from this. The material is available in various texture variations and color solutions, including imitation brick and stone.

Often, clinker facing tiles are used in combination with this material. This two-layer protection will allow the house to withstand even the most severe frosts, while the house will stand out due to its architectural beauty.

Demand for façade thermal panels

If the facade is finished with plaster, then even with the highest quality work, it will begin to crack, crumble and change color.

If brickwork is used for insulation, then, in most cases, the appearance of so-called cold bridges cannot be avoided, reducing the effectiveness of thermal insulation and gradually destroying the wall. Exactly the same disadvantages will arise when using facing tiles.

This cladding is offered in various colors

Facade thermal panels do not have the disadvantages described above. They consist of high-quality polyurethane and special fastening devices on the inside. The latter greatly facilitate installation and reduce the likelihood of errors to a minimum, thus fully revealing the heat-shielding properties of the cladding.

Thermal facing panels do not require any special care or complicated cleaning. Since polyurethane does not absorb liquids, the material is not afraid of fungi and insects. Despite its synthetic origin, polyurethane is an environmentally friendly component, which reduces harm to human health to a minimum.

All the advantages of thermal panels make them the best way to make your home durable, warm and beautiful. If the homeowner is interested in long-term investments in his home, then finishing the facade with thermal panels in subsequent years will save significant funds on heating, decorating and repairing the facade.

Thermal panel manufacturing technology

Brick imitation facade panel

Thermal panels consist of two main components:

  1. Polyurethane foam.
  2. Clinker tiles.

Polyurethane foam is used as insulation. protects it from other types of influences, in addition to thermal ones. The texture of the film is embossed and the surface is matte.

Layout components occurs at the factory, using technology using special matrices. The quality of the equipment on which production takes place also presupposes the quality starting materials– therefore all mass panels famous manufacturers meet all standards, which means the high reliability of these products.

Clinker film is made from purified clay. After the products are formed, they are additionally fired at temperatures up to 1200 degrees: this ensures increased strength and the absence of internal cavities. The resulting clinker film will provide high resistance of facade panels to mechanical and climatic influences.

How to install

The main advantage when installing facade thermal panels is simplicity and short duration of work. Short term installation is achieved due to the fact that the products are prepared for installation at the production stage. All that remains is to fix them on the facade of the building, without carrying out any preparatory work.

Purchasing thermal panels for the facade of a house is much cheaper than purchasing insulation, clinker tiles and glue separately. Also, purchasing all components separately will significantly increase the installation time.

That is why individual materials are practically not purchased by private individuals - they are used for automatic production, because the manual assembly thermal panels made from component parts are simply unprofitable.

Additional benefits that make installation easier:

Installation procedure

Installation of facade panels is carried out in several steps:

  1. In the lower part of the building, along its entire perimeter, the lower horizontal height level is set off. It is best to place the fastening line 15–20 cm below the floor level. This will prevent cold air from passing through small holes in the base structure.
  2. Marking and installation starting profile for the first row of panels

  3. The base profile is fixed along the line.
  4. The first panel rests on the base profile. Installation should begin from the lower left corner of the building. If you do not plan to install corner pieces, file the outer edge of the panel at a sharp angle.
  5. Installation of the first row can begin together with the installation of the corner element

  6. You should make holes in the walls, and then secure the panel with self-tapping screws or dowels.
  7. The next panel is installed to the right of the previous one. To do this, you need to attach the panels to each other so that the clinker tiles are aligned. This panel is secured with self-tapping screws.
  8. After leveling, you should make holes in the wall for fasteners

  9. Each panel is additionally reinforced with polyurethane foam.
  10. Next, you need to continue the installation to the right corner of the building, and then proceed to the next row until you reach the very top.
  11. The panel is secured with galvanized screws

  12. Frost-resistant grout is used to seal the joints.

Thermal panel with clinker tiles - a combination of insulation and finishing material. For its production, a heat insulator is used, which is also a base made of polyurethane foam, penoplex, expanded polystyrene and cladding - branded burnt high-quality brick tiles. Each type of base is designed for a specific surface, which must be taken into account when purchasing panels.

Characteristics thermal panels

The polymers used as a base are inert to most solvents and adhesives, self-extinguishing, fungus-resistant materials. From exposure to environmental factors additional protection creates a covering from clinker tiles.

The main advantages of thermal panels:

  • modern high quality material;
  • high strength;
  • optimal vapor and gas permeability;
  • excellent heat and sound insulation;
  • light weight;
  • not subject to deformation;
  • affordable prices;
  • wide range of colors;
  • large selection of texture solutions;
  • long service life while maintaining performance properties and appearance;
  • do not require special care and are easy to clean.

Tools required for installing panels:

  • Hammer
  • Level 2m
  • Screwdriver
  • Grout spatula
  • Water level

Basic consumables:

  • Polyurethane foam
  • Dowels
  • Self-tapping screws
  • Grout

Installation procedure

Given that correct assembly façade thermal panels can achieve absolute surface identity with brickwork. Please note that overall dimensions, design, and method of fastening may differ slightly from this description, since panel manufacturing technology is constantly being improved.

Installation sequence:

  1. We maintain a uniform height level along the entire perimeter of the façade. Don't forget to control the diagonal of each wall. If the diagonal has a deviation of up to five centimeters, we eliminate the defect using a gasket made of any moisture-resistant hard material. If the deviation is more significant, we use lathing.
  2. Along the horizon of the building's base we mark the line for the start of finishing. We mount an aluminum base profile on it - a rainwater ebb and a starting rail. It is advisable to fix the profile 20 cm below the floor level of the room. We attach vertical beacons along the facades of the building.
  3. Note! To prevent deformation of the structure, it is necessary to leave a gap between base profile and blind area.
  4. An installation option without a base profile is possible if there is a need to bury part of the panel into the ground. In this case, it is necessary to lay even wooden beams or a steel angle as a temporary mounting support.
  5. We begin installation of panels from the left corner of the building. We secure the casing with self-tapping screws or dowels. To create optimal density, eight of them are usually needed. We attach the thermal panels in rows from left to right. The seams that form at the junction of the panels are filled with polyurethane foam.
  6. Important! After fixing the first row of panels, in order to avoid air circulation behind the skin, it is necessary to fill the gap between the base profile and the building wall with polyurethane foam.
  7. The final stage of work is grouting the joints with a special frost-resistant mixture. Work must be carried out at positive temperatures. You can grout the seams immediately after installing the panels, or after some time.
