How to disable the central locking of the VAZ 2110. Installation and repair of the central lock on the tenth model VAZ

Many things you begin to appreciate after they are gone. The same applies to the additional options of the VAZ 2110. The central lock (CL), for example, can be overlooked while it is working properly or even do without it. But you quickly get used to the good, don't you? And therefore, when something that provides us with a comfortable ride fails, you immediately begin to rush about in search of answers “how to subdue”.

Cars of the VAZ brand are not least good for their high maintainability. Whenever something happens to your iron horse, you can almost certainly solve the problem yourself without the help of specialists at the service station. "Ten" in this regard was no exception.

As for the specific central locking system on Lada 110 cars, this is really a rich topic for discussion. Ignorance of elementary circuits and the principle of operation of the unit can confuse many motorists. However, maintenance of the mechanism is quite simple. And given the enviable frequency of its failure, it turns out that knowing “how” is simply vital.

What is the central lock on the VAZ 2110

The purpose of such a device is centralized management automatic mechanism for opening and closing all doors in the car at once. This is especially convenient for working in conjunction with the alarm system and when operating the car as a whole. Nevertheless, the reliability of the operation of the central locking system should be checked every time by moving the handles of all four doors before leaving for a long time on business, since the actuator can often fail and one of the doors may remain unlocked.

Structurally central locking VAZ 2110 consists of the following elements:

  • electronic transistor control unit;
  • gearmotor actuators, also known as activators (one for each door);
  • a limit switch that determines the current state of the door (open or closed);
  • electrical wiring and other installation elements.

Why the central locking on the VAZ 2110 does not work correctly

The problem of improper operation of the actuator is not at all uncommon for cars of the domestic auto industry. Despite the fact that there are a number of reasons for the failure of parts of the mechanism, the principle of operation automatic system closing doors is quite simple, and malfunctions are very typical in their total mass. And this means that any motorist can deal with them.

You do not need to grab your head and run to the workshop in search of a qualified specialist. Thanks to the following diagnostic recommendations, you yourself with highly likely you can become it. If, nevertheless, for some reason you don’t want to get your hands dirty, at least no one else will dare to “go over your ears” anymore. And this, you see, is also worth a lot.

Problems in the operation of the activator electric drive

The actuator mechanism of the central lock is quite fragile and does not tolerate overload. The activator housing made of plastic can easily melt if the door closing frequency is too high. An equally important role is also played by the duration of the control pulse. Try to always remember the extreme fragility of the activator and not load it in work.

It is easy to guess that the activator is located in each individual car door. If the case of one of them is melted due to overheating of the collector of the electric drive, this causes many problems:

  • the activator on individual doors ceases to function;
  • constant overloads in a jammed electric drive lead to the failure of the fuse.

The actuating mechanism of the activators is completely assembled from plastic. Gears can easily wear out and break during operation, melt when the collector overheats. As a result, characteristic creaking sounds are heard during the operation of the central lock - a sure sign of an imminent failure of the activators. Similarly, if the mechanism gearbox is buzzing, but the doors do not open or close.

This kind of malfunction can also be associated with all kinds of defects in the gearmotor and its traction. If you have recently changed the central lock, perhaps the reason lies in its incorrect installation. The mechanism may also be incorrectly adjusted, or the mount is broken. In any case, the door trim should be removed and checked visually.

The problem in the operation of the electrical circuit of the central lock on VAZ cars

First of possible problems flows smoothly from those mentioned in the previous section. An overload in the operation of activators leads to an increase in the operating current in the supply circuit above the nominal value. As a result, the fuse blows and the central locking of the VAZ 2110 simply “dies”.

It is with checking the fuse that they begin diagnosing malfunctions of the central lock. By the way, it is located in a very specific place and it is not easy to find it right away, even knowing where to look. In order to get to it, you will need to fold down the central panel with fuses and delve into the whole wiring harness in the niche that has opened behind it. The “comrade” you need is packed in a special plastic cup and connected in a pink wire break.

Another very common and obvious problem is the central lock plug. It is located in the most unfavorable place for this in the cabin, under the foot mat. It inevitably gets there. a large number of moisture and dirt. Electrical contacts are intensely oxidized. As a result, at the point of connection of the plug connector, the power supply circuit is unintentionally interrupted.

The problem in the operation of the central locking control unit VAZ-2110

Electronics, of course, is a reliable thing. Modern control modules for the central locking VAZ 2110 are assembled according to a transistor control circuit. This eliminates their mechanical wear. The shelf life of key components is measured in tens of years. The control unit is located under plastic lid torpedoes on the right side of the driver's seat.

However, power transistors can fail very well when the activators are overloaded and the collector is short-circuited. It may even happen that the signal from the control unit will constantly go to the lock drive if the transistor is broken. Otherwise, it will simply not turn on.

Checking the control unit is extremely simple. The voltage from the negative terminal of the battery, or directly from the pink wire supplying the control unit, is supplied to the contacts of the gearmotor (activator) in series to the red and yellow conductors. All of the aforementioned pins can be found directly on the eight-pin connector of the control unit.

VAZ-2110 is an additional option, not included in every vehicle package. In fact, a fairly cheap mechanism, easy to install, repair and use, but at the slightest breakdown, the car owner faces difficulties. It is not very convenient to check whether the lock flags are lowered before each exit from the car. It is much easier to close all the locks by pressing one button on the alarm remote control or by turning the key in the driver's door cylinder.

Central locking on cars of the tenth family

The main function of the device is clear from the name: with its help, all car door locks are unlocked and locked simultaneously. The operation of this device can be carried out both in conjunction with a car alarm, and without it. The basis of the device is the VAZ-2110 central locking unit, which is a small circuit that includes several semiconductor elements and electromagnetic relays. Instead of the latter, not relays, but transistor power switches can be used.

Despite all the benefits central control locks, you should not trust him completely, especially if certain sins were observed behind him. With minor failures, one or more locks may not be fully locked. The reason for this may be a malfunction of the electric motor, the gearbox included in its composition, or the control system. For carrying out even small repair work you need to know the device and principle of operation of the central lock.

Main Components

The central lock (VAZ-2110) has the following components in its design:

  1. Semiconductor control unit for electric drives.
  2. Gearmotors act as actuators (there are 4 in total - one for each lock, but if there is a drive to unlock the trunk, then five). These are small electric motors, on the rotors of which there are gearboxes.
  3. allowing to determine the state of the lock (installed in a gearmotor mounted in the driver's door).
  4. Wires, connections, fuse.

The central locking VAZ-2110 can operate in several modes:

  1. The drive of all locks occurs when unlocking / locking the driver's door.
  2. When arming and disarming the car alarm. Provided that the alarm and central locking control units are connected.
  3. If there is a function remote control Central lock from the key fob. Such control systems have a fairly low cost and can be used on cars without alarms.

The main causes of breakdowns of the central lock

If the central locking of the VAZ-2110 does not work, the reason for this is some defect in the actuators - gearmotors. In the entire structure, they are the most vulnerable point, since they are affected by the greatest load. These devices move during operation, which accelerates the production of elements included in their design.

But there is one important detail - the VAZ-2110 cars were discontinued more than ten years ago, which already indicates that any of the cars will have problems associated with the "obsolescence" of the elements. The wiring is destroyed, the gearmotors become unusable, even the transistors in the control unit can fail over such a period due to frequent overheating. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully study all the symptoms of breakdowns and methods for their elimination.

Central locking actuators

It is with their help that the central locking of the VAZ-2110 is controlled. They are mounted in the doors, have a plastic case. Flashbacks are rare, but they do happen. Especially if the device is subjected to a large load or the motor is often triggered. In the case of a physical defect (melting, destruction), the following symptoms appear:

  1. On the door in which the defective activator is located, the unlocking / locking function stops working.
  2. The fuse fails due to excessive loads on the supply circuit.

Causes of breakdowns of activators

Almost all components of the activators are made of plastic. It is strong enough to withstand heavy loads. But there is also a marriage, and a violation of the work of locks. In the latter case, there sharp increase loads on the motor, gears can collapse, disengage. The castle will buzz, but the flags will not be lowered (or not raised, depending on the current state).

But such a manifestation of breakdowns can also be caused by incorrect installation. This is only if work has been done relatively recently that directly or indirectly relates to the elements of the central lock. Violation of the adjustment of the rods is the first bell to the fact that the entire system will not work properly. The lock on which the adjustment is incorrect will not work, while the others function as they should.

central lock

Every motorist who has ever encountered him knows where the central lock (VAZ-2110) is located. It is located under the central part of the dashboard, right on the floor. It is quite simple to distinguish it: the block is made of plastic, a wiring harness with a block at the end fits it. Having removed the cover from the unit, you will see a small board in it with It is this unit that is responsible for the functioning of the entire system. And the reasons for the breakdown can be as follows:

  1. In case of malfunctions of activators, an increase in the load on them, an increase in the current in the power circuit occurs. This leads to significant overloads, fuse failure, destruction of printed wiring tracks. With prolonged thermal loads, the soldering is destroyed, the mounting legs of the elements lose electrical contact with the whole scheme.
  2. Age plays a big role, therefore, over time, contacts in electromagnetic relays may be destroyed. Transistors are not eternal, with overloads they can also fail.
  3. Burning the fuse leads to the fact that the whole circuit does not work - the central lock does not respond to anything. There is a fuse in a special rubberized or plastic case, in a break in the red (sometimes pink) wire. Please note that fuses of a higher rating cannot be installed, as this will lead to melting of the wiring and fire.
  4. The plug connection of the control unit is one of the most vulnerable places. Next to it is a stove (a source of heat), and the driver's shoes, on which there may be dust, dirt, and water. All this together causes the appearance of oxidation on the block. You can get rid of it with the help of special solutions or sprays (WD-40 and the like). If the condition of the pad leaves much to be desired, it is easier to replace it completely.

Control unit electronics

The VAZ-2110 central lock circuit consists of semiconductors and electromagnetic relays. But the latter are not used in all models of central locking. After all, it is much more efficient to use transistor switches, they work on the principle of a relay, but there are no physical activity. As a result, mechanical wear is completely eliminated. But the chance of breakdown of semiconductor elements is still present.

In the event of a breakdown of the central lock on the top ten, it will either be constantly set in motion, or it will completely cease to respond to actions. To check the operability of the control unit, it is necessary to connect alternately to the yellow and red wires of the driver's door gearmotor. Preferably directly on the connection block to the control unit. If the flags rise and fall normally, then there is no point in sinning for a breakdown of the electronics, you need to look for the reason in other components.

Breakdowns in the wiring

Next important element the entire system is electrical wiring. The operation of the central lock depends on the condition in which it is. If there are frayed wires, cuts, then this will inevitably lead to either spontaneous operation of the activators, or to their inoperability. Most often, the wiring is destroyed at the bends - between the door and the body. To check the integrity, you need to carry out the continuity of each wire separately. Just do not forget to turn off the power, otherwise you will damage the multimeter.

Limit switch malfunctions

The limit switch allows the control system to understand what position (locked or unlocked) the door is currently in. With its help, a signal is given to unlock and lock on the VAZ-2110 central locking relay. In the event of destruction, such a pattern can be observed in which the signal for unlocking is received, but there is no signal for locking. To make repairs, you need to completely change the driver's door activator. These elements are not subject to repair, therefore, in case of breakdowns, only a complete replacement will help.

Despite the fact that central locks (CL) are now installed almost without exception on all cars, some cars are not equipped with this protection system. Although it is difficult to call it a system, since the only obstacle that the central lock provides for an attacker is closed doors auto. For more information on how to put on a VAZ 2110 car, read this article.

The principle of operation of the central lock

On the VAZ 2110, the central lock is a system designed to open and close vehicle doors. For more convenient control of the central lock on the VAZ 2110, and on other cars, the remote control has long been used. If necessary, the central lock can be configured so that it turns on automatically after a certain period of time. Depending on the system, the key fob can also control the tailgate, engine compartment, and sometimes the central lock even allows you to open and close the windows. In the event of an accident, the central lock can work automatically by opening all the doors of the vehicle.

The VAZ central lock includes sensors in its design - these are door limit switches, solenoids, as well as a control unit. The limit regulator is designed to fix the position of the doors, and data about this, in turn, is transmitted to the VAZ 2110. The purpose of the switches is to mount structural elements door lock.

The locking of the system itself is carried out using one switch, and the unlocking function is performed by another sensor. The design includes two more switches that ensure the normal operation of the locking mechanism. Another - the fifth switch - is mounted on the lever mechanism of the drive, its purpose is to detect the position of the door. If the car door is open, then the contacts of the elements are closed, respectively, the entire system is deactivated. To perform a particular function, the control unit sends an impulse to certain control devices, thus setting the drive into action.

Possible malfunctions of the locking system

If you need to know how to find main unit control, then first of all you need to familiarize yourself with the service book - it should indicate where the mechanism is located. As a rule, there is a block under center console, sometimes it can be hidden in the door itself. It's no secret that any device cannot work forever, and over time, failures may also appear in the operation of the central lock. In practice, the device can often stop functioning due to the fact that the driver, using the remote control, transmits an extended or rapid signal to open or close the doors.

If the central locking stopped working for this reason, then first of all you need to check the activators. When a long signal is given, it leads to heating of the system motor commutator, as a result, it can lead to melting of the brush holder. The latter can jam. VAZ 2110 in this case will be to replace this element.

To protect the wiring, a safety device is used, located in the vehicle interior, right behind the unit. If you have a VAZ 2110 central locking diagram, then you can easily find this element. In the event that the central lock is not functioning, you need to check this component. It will also be necessary to repair the central lock if the wiring plug, which is usually located at the driver's feet, is oxidized.

As practice shows, sometimes the cause of a breakdown is modular block CZ. Its diagnostics consists in applying voltage to the connector contact directly from the battery. In gear activators, the gears are made of plastic, respectively, they wear out over time, so they will also need to be changed. But the solenoids are the weakest point of the system - they break most often.

Installation instructions

In your car is carried out in this way:

  1. First you need to disconnect the battery and dismantle the car door trim and dismantle the power windows. Having done this, you need to choose a place to mount the activator. The installation of this element is carried out in any position, it is important that there is a lot of space for the operation of the device so that the draft can pass freely. It should also be borne in mind that the traction should be connected most conveniently.
  2. Attach the activator to the most flat surface. If you allow even a slight skew, which can happen as a result of fixing the device on uneven surface, this can cause difficulties in the operation of the gear shafts. When mounting the device, it will be necessary to use washers or bushings, this will ensure that the surface is leveled. In the event that the element falls into a hole in the metal of the door, a special plate should be included with the activator, use it.
  3. Since the design of the “ten” doors is peculiar, the rod itself must be correctly bent before installation. The bend angle itself should be minimal and preferably the clearest. In the event that the angle is close to the arc itself or the distance from the rod to the element lock is too large, problems will arise in the operation of the central lock. The system will not increase the power to move the thrust, but will give this effort to overcome the bend in the arc.
  4. The field of installation of this element is the laying of wires from each door to the place where the control unit will be installed. The wires must be routed at the bottom of the doors so that they are not affected by power windows and other moving body components. At the junctions, the wires must be well insulated, otherwise moisture can cause the system to close. For laying the wiring between the doors and the body, there are special rubber corrugations - the wires must be passed through them. P When laying the wires in the door, make sure that they will not be broken when closing.
  5. The next step is to install the block. As a rule, the block is placed either behind the center console or in the car door. Note that the block must be in hard to reach place for an intruder, but at the same time this place must be dry and protected from moisture. Therefore, if you decide to put the central locking block on the door, then you should never put it at the bottom, since moisture and dirt usually accumulate here. After some time of operation, these factors will lead to the fact that the unit will not be able to work normally. Also, when installing the unit, pay attention to the fact that power windows should not interfere with its operation, and the unit itself should not interfere with them.
  6. After installing the unit, the wiring is connected; for this, the VAZ 2110 central lock connection scheme is used, which should come with the system. After connecting, check if the central lock is working properly. If the solenoid does not have enough force to open the rods, you need to find the cause and get rid of the malfunction (the author of the video is the SIMPLE THINGS channel).

Repair Features

As a rule, in the event of a central locking malfunction, experienced electricians first of all check the condition of the sensors. If the central lock is connected to the anti-theft system, then it is it that is checked first. As mentioned above, activators fail most often, so they should also be checked.

In the event that a certain door refuses to work, the reason must be hiccupped in it. It can be either the solenoid itself or the wires. During the operation of the car and the frequent opening and closing of doors in the wiring circuit, a break may occur due to bending and mechanical breakdown of the wire itself. If this is the case, then the wire must be replaced or the broken parts reconnected, and then insulated.

Almost set the alarm
There was a problem connecting the central lock.
On the standard block of the central locking VAZ-2110 there are free 6 and 8 contacts. Is it control and what polarity is it controlled by?

don't tell me where it is?
I installed the signaling - I looked for the central locking unit, I covered everything, but I didn’t find it. I got out of the situation by finding the wires in the harness from the central locking. Control - negative polarity (at least for me)

Re: Can you tell me where it is?
The central locking unit is located next to the engine control unit, a little higher, closer to the radio. Nearby is also a regular immobilizer.

Re: Central lock control VAZ-2110?
In my opinion, you need to connect the alarm to the brown and white wires. Which one is responsible for opening, and which one is for closing, I don’t remember. CZ refers to a three-wire system with negative polarity.

Listen here
The central locking unit is located under the center console. It is better to get to it by unscrewing the left (driver's) shield at the driver's feet. But it's still not visible (I couldn't). And only by touch, when I saw a suitable wiring harness, I reached out to the block with my hand and with great difficulty disconnected the connector from it (Soviet connectors are the most difficult to disconnect - I pulled and shook for about ten minutes)
I confidently advise you to entrust the control of the locks not to this block, but to the signaling itself. The fact is that there have been cases when this block is buggy and does not turn off the mechanisms in the doors - as a result, all 4 locks are burning together. (When I recently passed TO1, I myself witnessed how all 4 locks and this block were changed to a peasant on a 10-ke. According to the peasant, they started doing it at 11 o'clock, I left with TO at 18 o'clock, and the peasant had no end-and edge of work - the electricians could not share the blame with the signallers). So pull out this connector and connect the signaling wires to it. And everything will be OK.
Best regards, Eugene

Cars produced in the 21st century are very technologically advanced and thought out in terms of safety. They include many devices for the protection and comfort of the car owner. The domestic auto industry is trying to the best of its ability to keep up - so in the car VAZ 2109 and 2110 a central lock appeared.

Additional option - is it worth ordering?

The presence of a central lock in a VAZ car refers to additional options, and even then, if we talk about cars produced after 2000. However, in the VAZ 2109 models, devoid of this dignity, it is not difficult to put it.

The main purpose of the VAZ 2109 central lock is the automatic opening and closing of all car doors at the same time. The central lock can be controlled using the alarm panel that interacts with the system, as well as using the key. The central locking mechanism consists of several sensors that are located in the door envelopes, and circuit breakers. This whole system is interconnected and looped back to the car's power supply.

Installation of the central lock - car upgrade

If you are interested in such a device, you can install it yourself at home. You can buy a central lock for the VAZ 2109 in almost any car shop. By type of design, they are the same, so a lock from other VAZ cars is also suitable. For installation, in addition to the lock, you will need several screwdrivers and keys, as well as desire and patience.

Before starting work, you need to disconnect the terminals from the car battery, since installing the lock requires actions with connecting the power supply. After that, you can start removing the cards with the skin. In the process of removing the latches that hold them on, they may break, so prepare new ones in advance.

Next, you need to choose the right place for. It is worth considering the peculiarity of the movement of the glass mechanism. In rare cases, you may need to purchase additional car envelope mounts. The central lock is mounted on self-tapping screws and bolts with nuts. Basically, the factory provides a place to install the lock, there are also special electrical chips for connecting it.

If there are no such chips in the envelope of your VAZ 2109, then you will need to stretch the wiring to the on-board computer control unit. It is located inside the car under the stove shaft. It will not be difficult for you to connect the power supply correctly, because all the chips are universal. A similar installation procedure must be done with the rest of the car cards. Wiring from locks rear doors it is best to start up on the rapids of the car.

After installing the central locking mechanism, make sure all doors work properly. It is very important that the lock rods move freely and do not interfere with the opening of the main lock handle, as well as the lowering of the car window. During installation, everything metal connections needs to be lubricated. And only after that proceed with the reassembly of cards with skin.

Breakdown of the central lock - we repair it ourselves!

Quite often it happens that the system fails to work - if you are the owner of a domestic car, you are no stranger to breakdowns. This may be a partial breakdown, which in some cases requires cleaning the mechanism of dust or more accurate setting of the lock mounting rods, or minor failures in the power supply system. Sometimes there is a complete failure of the entire device, which requires the replacement of some elements of the mechanism.

Often, central locking sensors fail, which are easy to replace. Since the lock is directly related to the car alarm, in our case it is necessary to start the check from it. Try unlocking and locking the driver's door with the key. If the central locking system works, then the problem is in the alarm. If there is no alarm in your car, then proceed immediately to checking the system of the entire lock.

The main cause of failure in the central locking mechanism is a device called an activator.

It is installed in the front doors of the car. Its main action is to send an electrical signal to other doors to open or close them. When the activators are triggered, the signal goes to the central board, which has fuses. Although they fail quite rarely, they also need to be checked.

Additional fuses are located in the car envelope itself, near each mechanism with a rod. If the lock does not work on exactly one door, then the problem is there. To fix it, you will need a new fuse and a set of tools. Very often, the owners of the VAZ 2109 come to a different solution and connect the wires directly, but this is not recommended, because in the future the entire central locking system may completely fail.

The central locking mechanism is designed in such a way that if the activator in the driver's door envelope breaks down, the rest will also not work. If you have a problem with the button for manually opening the door, then look for the causes in violation of the fixation of the activator rod fastening.

When connected electrical circuit it is best to make the VAZ 2110 work when the key is turned in the ignition. This will keep you safe while traveling. To perform this type of connection, you need to carefully read the installation instructions. If necessary, you should call an electrician for help or carry out installation at a specialized car service.
