Scandinavian style in the interior of an apartment and house. Design of a two-room apartment in Scandinavian style Kitchen-living room in Scandinavian style

Having entered the scene as ethnic, Scandinavian design has over time become a true classic, in which the national flavor is not reflected in patterns or objects folk art, but in the general mood of the interior, the combination of its main components.

Peculiarities

The Scandinavian style in the interior of the house reflects the features of its inhabitants. The common features of the northern peoples are thoroughness, unhurriedness, restraint, love of nature and one’s home, as well as frugality, which helps to save Natural resources. Scandinavian house- the embodiment of these folk traits. Its design is characterized by simplicity, calmness, conciseness - and at the same time has a special charm and expressiveness.

Typical Scandinavian style room interior e – bright, free space, solid, reliable pieces of furniture, cozy textiles and discreet decor.

Basic principles of Scandinavian design

  • Color. The interior is usually designed in light, cool colors - white, light gray, sky blue. Tones of natural wood, stone, sand and brown shades. Accent colors – deep blue, turquoise, yellow, red, black.
  • Materials. Natural materials or their high-quality imitations are used: stone, wood, ceramics, plaster. Textiles for interior decoration are natural: linen, cotton, jute.
  • Furniture. Wooden, simple-shaped furniture should be durable and solid, even in appearance. Natural materials are used as upholstery - cotton, linen, leather, suede.
  • Decor. You can use simple elements of bright colors, or objects of complex shapes, but calm tones, for example, a plaster white deer head with antlers above the fireplace - a frequently found decoration in interiors.

Living room: interior in Scandinavian style

The living room is the “face” of the house, showing the character of its inhabitants. In the design of the living room, items that do not perform a functional role, but serve for decoration, are acceptable. At the same time, the basic design rules remain the same: natural materials, bright hues, traditional color combination.

Tip: Since natural light is in short supply in northern countries, much attention is paid to artificial lighting. In the living room, floor lamps, sconces, desk lamp, candles – any devices that increase illumination.

The photo shows a small living room in white tones. Project:"Scandinavian apartment design in Sweden."

The main color of the style - white - is perfect for the kitchen, as it creates a feeling of cleanliness and increases illumination, which is important for the room in which food is prepared. In kitchen design, as a rule, try not to use blue tones, as it is believed that they suppress appetite and affect the sensitivity of taste buds.

IN brick house Part of the kitchen walls need not be covered with plaster, but only painted White color. This is often done in the area where the working surface is located, then brickwork acts as an apron. Scandinavian kitchen design implies that natural wood will be used for the floor; it is also advisable to make the furniture and countertops from wood.

The main criterion for room design is simplicity. Nothing should distract you from your vacation. The main decorative element is the wall near the head of the bed, but it should not be bright. For example, a wall can be finished with wood, if the rest are covered with plaster, and one color is chosen for both coatings - white or a light pastel shade of beige. Textiles in deep colors or with national patterns, as well as a carpet near the bed, will complement the design of the bedroom.

When designing a children's room, it is necessary to take into account the child's needs for a variety of experiences that contribute to his development. The light background of the walls makes it possible to demonstrate bright details, emphasizing their significance.

As an accent on a white wall, you can place a black board with a coating that allows you to draw on it with colored crayons - children will happily paint the walls, and their drawings will act as color spots in the interior.

White walls can be decorated bright stickers made of vinyl with images of fairy-tale characters - for the little ones, letters of the native alphabet - for first-graders, or favorite artists - for teenagers. Simple pieces of furniture can also be decorated with stickers or even painted in bright colors. Colorful patterns on textiles will also help to enliven the design and add personality to it.

In the bathroom, cool “northern” designs are very appropriate, giving a feeling of cleanliness and freshness. As a complement to white, which is usually the main color in sanitary facilities, deep blue is used. Bath textiles in accent colors complement the interior.

As in general for all style rooms, they try to use wood in the bathroom. The Scandinavian bathroom is also characterized by the use of wood. Sink bases, bath screens, mirror frames, and cabinets are made from it.

In finishing surfaces, colored tiles are used, with their help they zone the space - for example, part of the walls - in the wet area or near the toilet - are laid out with an ornament of colored tiles or tiles with Scandinavian patterns. The design with wide ornamental stripes moving from the floor to the walls and even to the ceiling looks fresh and original.

Design own home in Scandinavia, it provides large windows to increase interior light and walls with good thermal insulation properties. Houses are mainly built of wood, stone ones are finished with wooden materials.

Scandinavian style in the interior country house continues in its exterior - the forms are simple, laconic, perhaps even rough, giving the impression of solidity and reliability. My home is my fortress: this is said about the houses of the northern peoples.

Photos of interiors in Scandinavian style

Below are photographs reflecting the main features of Scandinavian design in rooms for various purposes.

Photo 1. The main color in the interior of the Scandinavian kitchen-living room is white. It is complemented by light wood on the floor. The role of decorative accent is given to textile elements.

Photo 3. Dark gray furniture creates a contrast with the light floor, enlivening the interior.

Photo 4. The bright bedroom is no different exquisite design, but looks very original due to bright color additions and non-standard lamps.

Photo 5. The combination of two opposite colors - white and black - determines the rigid graphic design of the living room, the natural wood of the floor softens the interior, and the leather on the floor gives coziness.

High ceilings, columns and large windows - the designers of the Pobeda Design bureau emphasized the layout features of this Moscow two-room apartment with light colors and loft elements that organically combine with the overall Scandinavian mood of the interior

Today we are talking about an apartment project with an unusual layout: the apartments are located on the territory former factory, the design features of which were reflected in the architecture of the modern residential complex. The owners, a young couple who devote a lot of time to work and prefer family vacations, contacted the Pobeda Design bureau with a request to decorate the apartment in a Scandinavian style using natural materials and a light palette.

Architectural bureau "Victory of Design"

Since its founding in 2007, the Victory of Design studio has implemented more than three hundred projects. The studio employees prefer minimalism, loft and Scandinavian style, and do not favor eclecticism and fusion. They claim that they are the best in planning. Indeed, the experience is impressive: in addition to creating private interiors, the bureau collaborates with many leading Russian developers, developing planning solutions for houses under construction. Designers have a practical approach; they believe that a comfortable bathroom is much more important than a shocking design.

Layout

The designers had to work with a non-standard original layout: the apartment had columns, horizontal beams, 3.4 m high ceilings and huge windows. It was decided not to hide all these elements, but, on the contrary, to emphasize: for this concrete columns and the beams were supported with smooth plaster, and the gray-white palette was diluted with graphic dark accents.

Functionally, the apartment was divided into two zones: public, consisting of a living room combined with a kitchen and dining room, and private, including a bedroom and bathroom.

It was decided to allocate the main area of the apartment for common space, since this is where the owners spend most of their time. We allocated the minimum area for the bedroom, since it is not the main room in the apartment.

Corridor

The hallway space is 9.2 square meters. m is mostly used for storage: along two walls there are spacious wardrobes, and near the entrance there is large mirror in a dark frame and an ottoman. The cabinet fronts are divided into two parts and have different textures: one repeats the design interior doors and is made in white with panels, the second one serves as support for the facade of the kitchen - a smooth wooden finish without handles was chosen for it.

The interior of the hallway is dominated by light shades: the walls are white, and the floor is paved with gray tiles, stylized as stone. The main emphasis is on lamps of an original shape: one is made of linen, the other is ceramic.

Public area

In the apartment the kitchen occupies central position. It is made in a minimalist finish: hidden handles, smooth facades, chrome parts. Concrete ceiling with beam floors- the main feature of this zone. It is complemented by loft elements: exposed wiring and a deliberately open exhaust pipe that supports general style. Light bulbs on long cords provide illumination for the public area.

Stepan Bugaev, “Victory of Design”:

In the kitchen we used interesting technique- combined wood and plastic. This combination allows the facades to look modern, and the kitchen to be a harmonious continuation of the living room area.

The central element of the dining group was the lamp. It is represented by flat rounded shapes different colors and heights, which create a volumetric composition and at the same time act as a zoning tool. The dining area itself is a combination different materials. The textiles of the chairs echo the decoration of the table legs, and the lamp combines all the colors used in the dining group.

The living room area occupies a small space of 12 square meters. m and is represented by a sofa, designed in dark gray tones, and a system of shelves for a TV. The sofa is located so as to visually separate the living room from the kitchen. The composition of the shelves in the TV area brings variety to the interior: chaotically located on the wall, they combine open and closed elements.

Bedroom

The bedroom is completely done in white, and the accents are moldings on the wall, creating a beautiful relief, and black elements of the overhead lamp. The owners spend the least amount of time here, so the bedroom has only one function - it serves as a place to sleep and relax.

Bathroom

The bathroom is also decorated in white, but it is not uniform: if on the walls it is just White background, then the texture of marble is added to the floor. The central objects in the interior of the bathroom are the cabinet under the sink, the decoration of which combines wood of different colors, and a mirror that echoes it.

Stepan Bugaev, “Victory of Design”:

The project turned out to be very bright and pleasant, with precisely placed accents. We managed to create a spacious and bright space in the Scandinavian style, embodying simplicity and comfort. All customer requirements were taken into account, and the apartment owners themselves were satisfied with the result.

In this interior the following were used:

Corridor:

  • cabinet furniture - Stradivari (Italy);
  • pouf - Gan-Rugs (Spain);
  • doors - Union (Russia).

Public area:

  • kitchen set - Scavolini (Italy);
  • lunch group - Calligaris (Italy), Muuto (Denmark);
  • light - Vibia (Spain), Muuto (Denmark);
  • shelving systems - Lago (Italy);
  • tiles - Equip Ceramicas (Spain);

Bedroom:

  • moldings - Orac Décor (Belgium);
  • bed - Gervasoni (Italy);
  • cabinets - Zanotta (Italy);
  • light - Karman (Italy), Delta Light (Belgium);
  • decorative plaster - Baldini (Italy);
  • floor covering - Finex (Russia).

Bathroom:

  • furniture - Biankini & Capponi (Italy);
  • plumbing - Villeroy & Bosh (Germany);
  • heated towel rail - Zehnder (Germany);
  • tiles - Atlas Concorde (Italy).

The content of the article:

Scandinavian style in the interior- This is a northern variety of country music. It is characterized by an abundance of light, light pastel shades, due to which the space expands, and finishing with natural materials. Unlike other types of country, the introduction of some modern materials in furniture and decor is allowed here. A two-room apartment in a Scandinavian style will seem spacious and modern, and its decoration will not require large expenses. White walls in the apartment will fill it with light and create a unified space.

Living room in a Scandinavian apartment

A small living room with two windows seems much larger thanks to the right colors and interior elements. The living room walls are plastered and painted white - this is the most common option for Scandinavian-style interiors.

White color is chosen for the walls and ceiling to make the rooms as bright as possible - after all, most of the year in the northern countries there is very little light. For flooring it is usually chosen parquet board or laminate in light, warm shades: alder, bleached oak, ash, golden walnut. The windows are often without curtains to let as much light in as possible.

Apartment in Scandinavian style. Inexpensive repairs. Photo

Living room furniture is comfortable, compact and functional. Colors of natural, natural shades - gray and golden sand by the sea, gray-blue, blue, gray-green waves. The gray sofa in the living room is just the right color, reminiscent of sand and coastal pebbles. Bright accents are also acceptable - colored or black and white geometric patterns on pillows, but, in general, furniture should not be bright. It can be of strict outline, with a black lacquered surface, like a TV stand, or airy, light, like a table, an armchair and a shelving unit, which, thanks to its thin metal elements the design seems quite small.

Scandinavian style bookcase. Photo

Scandinavian style in the interior of the apartment involves bright lighting to compensate for the lack of natural lighting. There is always both overhead light and all kinds of wall sconces, floor and table lamps.

The decor is usually carefully selected black and white photographs, type or ornamental compositions in thin frames. Must be present houseplants and phytocompositions.

Snow-white bedroom

White walls and ceiling made even the bedroom feel spacious irregular shape with a small window. There is a full-size double bed here, and a balcony with flowering plants overlooking the courtyard makes it cozy and romantic.

The decoration of the walls and floors in the bedroom is the same as in the living room, which perfectly unites both rooms. The door to the balcony can be closed with a white roller blind.

The large double bed, with its white painted wood headboard, white and silver linens and pillows, feels light and comfortable. The cabinet fronts are also white, which further expands the room. There was a place in the room for a small chair and a white clothes hanger. The table and chairs on the balcony are wooden with forged legs and go well with the forged fencing.

Inexpensive Scandinavian renovation in the bedroom. Photo

Lighting is also divided into overhead light - a chandelier, and additional sources - bedside sconces and a high floor lamp.

There is very little decor - these are forged candlesticks on the window and a black and white photograph in a thin frame.

Scandinavian style kitchen

The Scandinavian style in the kitchen, as seen in the photo, manifests itself with white walls, ceilings and light wooden floors.

White kitchen fronts go well with a black stove and refrigerator; a black stone countertop is balanced by white ceramic tiles.

The open cabinet for wine and dishes and the table are also white and light wooden chairs goes well with the floor.

Lighting includes a chandelier above the table, spotlights around the perimeter and lighting working area.

The decor is beautiful dishes in an open cabinet, and indoor flower, photos and graphic works on the walls.

Bathroom

The design of the bathroom is based on the contrast of black and white: black tiles on the floor and white on the walls, a black cabinet under a white sink. There is also a shower room behind a glass partition, and washing machine. Lighting - spotlights on the ceiling.

Hallway

In a small Scandinavian-style apartment, the hallway also seems quite spacious. White walls and wooden floors, a rug with a black and white pattern and a white painted cabinet - there is nothing superfluous here.

The area of the floor near the entrance, where the shoes are, is lined with dark tiles; there is a mirror in a golden frame in a small niche - everything is simple and functional. The hallway is illuminated by spotlights in the ceiling. The walls are decorated with photographs.

Today I want to show you my big project - a large three-story house in Pushcha Voditsa. The lower floor is more technical, so we will focus on the first two.
The initial request was to create a beautiful, cozy and elegant space. To be expensive, but discreet. Refined, calm and not intrusive.

Here general layout, so that you have a complete understanding of the space we work in:

2nd floor:

The main pillars of the whole house design are:
- gray-beige color scheme is a priority;
- ebony and a lot of black, but small accents;
- combination of metals (chrome and brass) in fittings;
- a combination of styles: classic, Hollywood chic, and a pinch of standinavian.

Studio, 1st floor:

One large space combining the living room, dining room, kitchen, entrance area.
In the heart of the room is a formal dining table. It is located as close as possible to the kitchen and terrace at the same time. In addition, when sitting at the table, you can see the TV screen.

The living and dining areas are gathered under one figure on the ceiling and illuminated by the same chandeliers.

The media area has a beautiful artist painted wall and the sofa is a subtle shade of dirty pink. It is so thin that it is only noticeable in certain lighting conditions; in all other cases the color appears grey-beige.

The design of the curtains, as in all my projects, is very laconic - transparent tulle and even flowing heavy draperies. A favorite technique is dark fabric at the bottom of the curtains.

In the photo above you can see part of the kitchen. One of its sides is solid high cabinets. There is a refrigerator and freezer hidden there, a built-in Appliances, and also made two beautiful display cases with glass and lighting - to lighten the space and beautifully arrange utensils. The design of tableware is now at such a high level that it is simply a sin to hide such beauty. And it has long seemed to me that it is time to return shop windows to everyday use. In almost all of my projects, where space allows it, I recommend installing display windows. And what is important - precisely in the kitchen (I remember with horror Soviet and bourgeois interiors in which dishes are displayed in the hall. Which is three kilometers from the kitchen and no one, accordingly, uses these dishes, simply because it is not convenient to carry everything there- here).

The squares on the ceiling are painted a soft gray beige color light shade, and the ends of the omissions are two shades darker.

We made a bar counter in the kitchen. It is wide and long, so it simultaneously serves for storage and, on the other hand, for eating. From experience, this is a favorite place for quick breakfasts, cozy gatherings in the kitchen until late, socializing and cooking.

The entrance area is spacious, decorated with low lighting on the walls (for evening lighting, so that the light does not hurt the eyes). We separated this area from the corridor with a huge portal with doors, made in black and with transparent glasses with facet.

The flight of stairs is made of wood, and there is LED lighting in the wall. This area of the interior is deliberately super-modern - metal and glass railings. This creates balance, making the house real, and not pretentious, doll-like and “polished.” As a result, when residents move here and change the interior from day to day, adding or removing small details from here - items of clothing, decor, gadgets, etc. - I want the interior to continue to be beautiful and harmonious, and not get lost.

Guest bathroom, 1st floor:

The guest bathroom is all made of stone. The most beautiful wall is with a long washbasin. A thick wooden countertop, a countertop sink, an oval mirror and on either side of it a sconce with a long base. Nothing extra, but it looks chic.
And easy to clean)

There is natural light in this bathroom, and we are not blocking it with anything. The curtain is raised as high as possible and is, in fact, needed only during evening exercise.

One of the walls of the shower stall is decorated with black mosaic (to match the color of the door leaf and curtains), and the shower tray is made of teak wood.

Master bedroom, 2nd floor:

The master bedroom is finished in a sophisticated emerald blue. It is very bright, so you don’t have to worry about it being “dark” at all - there are 3 large panoramic windows in the room.

The wall on which the headboard rests is an accent wall; we painted thin white stripes on it (quite chaotically, but still according to the preliminary sketch). A high fabric headboard, an abstract painting (which I personally paint), large sconces, round bedside tables (or rather, ottomans) on both sides of the bed. Here we were limited in size, because on the same wall there is a door to the dressing room.

The entrance to the bedroom is a portal similar to what we already saw downstairs in the studio. It is massive and very beautiful, but here we use frosted glass to make the space more intimate.

It is no coincidence that the wall to the side of the bed was left without decoration. The color is so good that you want to admire it, so we left this place here.
The pink armchair by the window is more like an object of art designed to brighten up the interior, but sitting in it is also very comfortable. With a book or just in your thoughts, alone - why not.

Bathroom, 2nd floor:

The interior is monochrome, but here you need to take everything into account: yellow tint lighting, which greatly enhances the evening view of the room, the view from large windows(summer and autumn nature also add new colors). As a result, the interior interacts with the environment and now there are 4-5 shades together. Despite the fact that the base remains at the level of black and white. In my opinion, very versatile and timeless stylish.

That's all)

Today, work is in full swing, and I’m already running to design supervision of other objects.

If you like this house and my taste, and you want something similar - or completely different, but feel that we will work together, you).

All the best and great inspiration!

AD- this is a lot of advertising for designers (but high-quality ones). And that doesn’t stop you from enjoying them at all. excellent interiors. The style is very mixed.

13 Nov 2019

Object: 2-storey house

Number of bedrooms: 4

Number of bathrooms: 2

Ceiling height: 3.3m

I really like this house. It combines classic and modern, a tribute to tradition and modern technologies. It is calm, clear, simple, and at the same time elegant. Without unnecessary pretentiousness, but using quality materials and furniture.

Since the renovation is still at the very beginning, there is nothing to show on the line yet. I will show you visualizations of the future interior:

This is the living room, the heart of the home. A large open space that includes a small hall, a sitting area, a dining room, and a kitchen. The main color scheme is neutral beige. The wood used is intentionally very dark, chocolate color. The floor is glossy and also quite dark.

The kitchen is made in light colors. There is a bar counter with retro chairs for eating. The work area has white tiles with dark accents. The kitchen apron is lined with painted glass - it looks very delicate, but at the same time is not at all afraid of cleaning. Joints and seams on glass can be avoided with proper markings.

The common space of the living room also has access to the stairs to the second floor. The staircase is all white, except for the railing, the first baluster and the steps. Between the living room and the hall, we designed a decorative front doorway with stained glass windows around it. On both sides of this passage it is planned to place flowerpots with green plants.

By the way, this solution repeats the same technique at the front entrance to the house from the street.

The kitchen has a huge view window with access to the terrace. There will be a summer dining table there. The curtains in front of the window are gathered at the top so as not to interfere when opening and closing the door. The curtains are attached to the ceiling itself to emphasize the height of the room.

Before exiting the hall, entering the house from the hallway, there is also a small room. It will contain Big cupboard for storing outerwear and shoes. For convenience, we made the 3 central doors mirrored - this both increases the space and gives you the opportunity to look at yourself again before leaving.

The flight of stairs to the second floor is decorated in the same style as the living room. We decided to diversify the huge areas of the walls with wallpaper panels depicting trees. These panels were framed in moldings. The window is also decorated with the same molding. As you can see, there are no extra fabrics or draperies on the window (most likely there will be a Roman blind in the slope from the sun, and that’s all) - it seems to me that they are completely inappropriate here.

View from the flight of stairs to the living room and second floor corridor.

On the second floor, the doors to the bedrooms are white, there are beautiful sconces and paintings on the walls. The electrical fittings are also white, matching the color of the doors, baseboards and stairs.

The parquet on the second floor is exactly the same as on the first. It seems to me that it is very correct to decorate the floor in the entire house with one material. This is how we emphasize the integrity of the interior and adhere to a single chosen concept. And when the doors are open, there is no awkward junction of coverings on the floor.

There is a TV on the wall directly opposite the bed, and a dressing table to the left of it. It is designed as suspended structure with drawers. It is comfortable to sit in front of such an improvised dressing table on a pouf. It is also used as a stand when the housewife wants to while away the time at the window (more precisely, on the windowsill). The table top and the entire work table (also known as the window sill) are designed specifically so that you can sit on it.

View of the closet. The facades are made of wood, with protruding building elements. Closer to the door is a wide mirror door. Behind it is hidden a whole rack with shelves for office supplies, books and other necessary items.

There is a battery located under the window, in the work chair area. The window sill-tabletop is very deep - about 60 cm - so that it is comfortable to study while sitting on a chair at the table, or while sitting on the windowsill itself.

Bedroom of a married couple. Made in powdery colors combined with beige. Above the headboard is a large abstract painting, on the left is a nightstand (men's side), and on the right is a women's dressing table.

There is a built-in wardrobe to the side of the bed. On the ceiling there is a small decorative structure to hide the built-in ceiling light.

In front of the bed there is a bench for a bedspread. And near the window there is an armchair with a footrest and a floor lamp - it will be convenient to relax and read here good book. Opposite the bed is a chest of drawers, and above it is a TV mounted on an adjustable bracket to the wall.

This is a little girl's nursery. It is small in size, so we had to twist it to fit all the elements that we needed. Thus was born the idea of a headboard that separates the sitting area from the area with the dressing table by the window.

On the other side, along the entire wall, there is a closet. It is specially designed as a children's room, taking into account teenage ergonomics - here the hangers are located lower, there are many drawers in the lower section. There are also open shelves for toys, closed shelves for small items, place for clothes and linen.

Shower room on the first floor. We decided not to tile all the walls. Therefore, they closed only the wet area inside the shower stall, and along the perimeter to a height of 120 cm - so that it would be convenient to wash your hands and the wall in front of the washbasin would not get dirty. The wall directly opposite the entrance is made very solemnly. There is blue-gray paint on the wall here, as well as three mirrors of different sizes. At the bottom of the wall there is custom-made furniture. This design hides: a washing machine, a basket for dirty laundry and storage space household chemicals and household items.

The shower floor has patchwork tiles. All plumbing fixtures are white. They even displaced them - and they were white. The mirror above the washbasin is in a beautiful mirror frame, and on both sides of it there are sconces.

The men's office is on the second floor. There was a place for a work area, storage of books and documents, a relaxation area (sofa and side tables), and even for an exercise machine to keep yourself in shape.

The colors in the office were masculine, grayish-beige. There are bright accents in textiles: on the carpet and sofa cushions. Above the Chesterfield sofa there is a world map, which is divided into 6 parts in different frames.

We used wallpaper with a geometric pattern behind the sofa and around the entire perimeter of the room, closer to the ceiling. The rest of the walls are painted plain in two tones (each wall has a slightly different shade).

The guest room on the first floor is made in a combination of beige-golden and turquoise-green colors. On the wall there is wallpaper with a tint, its real beauty is difficult to convey in a picture, I’ll show you a photo later).

The large cabinet furniture is in warm white painted wood, and the countertops are in golden oak. The brightest accent in the interior was the sofa - unusual and very complex color. On either side of it are elegant smoky lilac colored cabinets with beautiful glass base table lamps.

A pocket for curtains by the window hides their fastening. To support it, we make a molding edging around the entire perimeter of the room and paint it top part the walls are white. Below we are already gluing the wallpaper.

This entry group, hallway. The first thing we see when entering the house. This room is meant to be taken off and left here. outerwear. The central wall is deliberately bright burgundy. It is juicy, colorful, but at the same time not at all provocative, very calm.

From this article you will learn:

  • What are the design features two-room apartment in Scandinavian style
  • What materials to use in the design of a two-room apartment in a Scandinavian style
  • What furniture, lighting and decor to choose for the design of a two-room apartment in a Scandinavian style
  • What are the design features of different rooms of a two-room apartment in a Scandinavian style?

From the point of view of interior design in Moscow, two-room apartments are considered complex objects. If the owner of such a home wants to give it an original look and at the same time conveniently place all the necessary things, then he should pay attention to the Scandinavian style of interior design. A two-room apartment in a Scandinavian style is distinguished by an abundance of light, laconicism and functionality. This design will help even the most small room transform it into a bright and spacious space.

The history of the Scandinavian style

It is believed that the Scandinavian style began to develop in the 18th century, during the reign of King Gustav III in Sweden. In earlier periods, residents of Scandinavian countries used classicism and rococo when decorating their homes. However, the northern peoples completely lack the desire for rich and luxurious life, which gradually led to a change in style. The emergence of their own style of home decoration was also facilitated by the need of Scandinavians, not spoiled by the sun, for natural lighting in their premises. Both of these factors influenced the characteristic features of the Scandinavian style, whose homeland is considered to be Sweden, Finland and Norway.

There are two main directions in the Scandinavian style:

  • traditional;
  • modern.

Source characteristic features The traditional direction has a centuries-old history. Suitable for owners who want to give their home an atmosphere of stable income, but without pretentiousness and excessive pomp.

Coordination of work

IN modern direction preference is given to soft shapes and colors, simplicity and functionality. All these features are similar to minimalism. The interior, not burdened with huge mirrors in gilded frames and heavy antique furniture, is not devoid of homely warmth and comfort.

The Scandinavian style has the following features:

  1. Light colors are the calling card of this direction. Nordic countries don't swim in sun rays. Therefore, to make their home cozy, the Scandinavians used white, milky, and ivory. The light background was enlivened with color inserts and created a black and white contrast.
  2. The spaciousness of the interior, not cluttered with furniture and decorative elements. Decor is, of course, used, but in moderation. To save square meters, the principle of functionality is applied, according to which furniture is selected.
  3. Touches of good-natured humor often creep into the design of bathrooms.
  4. Wood is the most popular finishing material for interiors in Scandinavian style. They cover floors and walls, erect partitions, create decor and furniture. Glass is the second most popular material.
  5. As much sunlight as possible should penetrate into the apartment, so heavy curtains are abandoned. They are being replaced light curtains, pleated curtains or blinds.
  6. Widely used for furniture upholstery furniture fabrics with a characteristic pattern of northern motifs (snowflakes, deer, Christmas trees, etc.).
