Alexander Novikov - biography

For his first album "Take me, cabman", released in 1984, singer Alexander Novikov received 10 years in the camps. Prizes and applause he got much later.

He was tied up right on the street in broad daylight, like a hardened recidivist. Alexander knew: they put pressure on the psyche. He did not sign the waiver of his songs, which he was offered in the pre-trial detention center, the threats did not break him. Later, the arrested person was shown a document entitled "Expertise of A. Novikov's songs." Well-known cultural figures condemned his work as anti-Soviet and alien to communist ideology. The summary read: "The author needs psychiatric and prison isolation" ...

Alexander Novikov - childhood and youth

Sasha Novikov was born on October 31, 1953 on the godforsaken island of Iturup, on the border with Japan. It was there that the biography of the future singer began. His father, a military pilot, was sent to serve there. Then the family wandered around the garrisons on Sakhalin, in Kyrgyzstan, in Altai. In the end, they settled in Sverdlovsk. Alexander fell in love with this city with all his heart, he still lives there and does not want to move to the capital.

Despite the fact that Sasha studied well, his behavior was always “unsuccessful”. Fights were the favorite entertainment of the Sverdlovsk boys: they sorted things out with their fists with each other, went to "deal" with neighboring areas. Sasha was always in the forefront, he was feared for his unpredictable temper and desperate courage. More than once, his favorite guitar suffered in brawls. Novikov's signature technique was the "Spanish collar" - the guitar was simply put on the opponent's head. After the breakdown of the next instrument, the whole yard chipped in for a new one: everyone loved songs with a guitar.

Sasha's youth was overshadowed by tragedy: his younger sister, an athlete and everyone's favorite, died at the age of 17 in a plane crash along with the entire youth basketball team. The mother never recovered from the blow, and Sasha could not recover for a long time. A rebellion was ripening in his soul against the cruelty and injustice of this world. How can one talk about goodness and happiness if innocent children are dying?..

Alexander Novikov - biography of personal life: ideal wife

Love does not bypass even convinced rebels. Alexander fell in love with his future wife Maria at first sight. “There is no other way,” he says. Novikov then studied at the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute. He walked up the stairs, looked up, saw her, and realized that he was gone. He was always a good guy, but then he suddenly became timid, he did not dare to approach. And the girl, not paying attention to him, passed by. Later he was looking for her, but the beauty disappeared into the water. Alexander was worried: what if she doesn’t study here at all, did she come in by chance? How to find it then?

They met at geodetic practice - he immediately recognized the beautiful stranger, although she was in a scarf that covered half her face. Here Alexander did not miss his chance.

The couple have been together for almost 40 years, but Alexander Vasilievich Novikov still considers his wife an ideal. “There are no such women these days,” he says. “It is necessary to paint icons from it.” He himself is far from perfect, there are a lot of rumors about his victories on the love front. But he, like a real man, never comments on them: the personal life of the public does not concern.

Alexander Novikov - the beginning of a career

Novikov failed to complete his higher education. He was expelled from three universities - for bold statements and a rebellious character. The last time was after a fight with the Komsomol organizer and the head of the group, who scribbled denunciations on everyone. Alexander decided: enough of this study, it's time to work and got a job in the garage as a car mechanic. Later he was a laborer at a construction site, a driver, he even sold honey. In the evenings, he worked part-time in a restaurant, sang trendy hits, and his soul asked for completely different music.

If you want it, then you have to do it. Alexander gathered like-minded people and founded a rock band with the brutal name "Rock Polygon". Recorded an album, began to perform at private parties.

Rock was banned in the country, so the police hunted the group, they turned off the electricity during concerts, but the guys did not give up ...

It was impossible to get decent equipment, Alexander began to assemble amplifiers, speakers, microphones himself. Musician friends were happy to buy them, and some of those "veterans" are still in working condition.

A couple of years later, the "Rock Polygon" already had a lot of fans. And they did not expect that Novikov would abruptly change direction and begin to sing chanson. In 1984, Alexander released the album "Take me, cabman." It was recorded underground, at night, distributed, of course, illegally, but at the same time at an incredible pace. After only two months, the whole country sang Novikov's songs, often without knowing the author and considering them folk.

Alexander Novikov - six years in the zone

For the authorities, Novikov has long been a bone in the throat; he was taken under special control back in his student days. And after the release of the objectionable album, Alexander began to be shadowed. The phone was openly tapped, the “tail” walked on the heels, his friends and acquaintances were constantly called to the authorities - these were methods of psychological pressure. The album, which was sold in the markets from under the floor, was confiscated, the cassettes were broken and thrown away. Alexander had no doubt that he would be arrested...

To prevent the case of the disgraced singer from becoming political, the charge was changed. Investigators remembered amplifiers and speakers and accused Novikov of illegally selling equipment. During interrogations, they did not hide the true reason for the arrest, and Alexander received a maximum of ten years in the camps.

He served time on an equal footing with everyone else, no concessions and indulgences. Rather, on the contrary: he was imprisoned on the personal instructions of Andropov, and the prison authorities did their best to complicate the already difficult prison life. Novikov felled the forest, sawed huge logs in the cold, floated them down an icy river, built barracks.

The convicts did not perceive him as a celebrity, and he had to prove his worth by no means in words. Once, with his bare hands, he grabbed a knife from the attacker and, defending his life, stabbed the enemy with it. Fortunately, the wound was not fatal. Zek survived, and Alexander gained authority.

Novikov served six years - he was released under an amnesty in a new country, where now it was possible to sing songs from the stage for which he was imprisoned.

Alexander Novikov - in word and deed

“Prison gave me invaluable experience, strength and self-confidence,” Alexander Vasilyevich is sure. He has no fears left, he knows: you can’t get away from fate, and difficult trials are quite tough for him, especially when there is a reliable rear behind him. His wife never reproached him for what happened, and she, with two children in her arms, had a very difficult time. All their property, down to irons and bed linen, was confiscated. Maria understands that her husband simply cannot go with the flow, he will always fight for what he considers right and fair.

Novikov even today says what he thinks, stands up for the weak, does not go into his pocket for a word, and if a word does not help, he can even apply his fist. When asked: “Is it really impossible to agree?”, He answers: “There are people who do not understand words, and there are situations when strength is needed.”

On the stage, he always keeps a little aloof from the main currents of chanson, and even more so from show business. Doing what the soul lies to, the artist has created his own unique style, which he calls "male lyrics". “I write about love, about people, about the eternal ... - says the 62-year-old singer. - Maybe I stand somewhat apart with my songs. But eagles don't fly in flocks, crows fly in flocks."

Chansonnier Alexander Novikov rarely talks about his personal life. However, at the Chanson of the Year award, the singer opened up and for the first time spoke in detail about the relationship with his beloved wife Maria. They have been together for thirty-seven years. Alexander Vasilievich admitted: this is far from the limit.

Alexander Vasilyevich, almost all of your colleagues live in Moscow, and you live in Yekaterinburg. There was no thought to move to the capital completely?

- Why? I see no difference between Moscow and Yekaterinburg. I have everything I need for work and life: an apartment, a driver, an office. It’s convenient for me in Yekaterinburg – it’s only a two-hour flight to Moscow. Moreover, I have a family here, a theater.

- Reveal the secret of your relationship with your wife. How do you manage to keep feeling?

I can't reveal such secrets. In family relationships, everything is individual. Moreover, not every person can do as much work as I do every day. My wife and I sometimes joke that thanks to her recipes, which she prepared in the kitchen, I managed to survive in prison. The prison diet was not surprising (smiles). Good thing she's not an artist.

You have been together for thirty-seven years. Recently, not everyone can boast of so many years lived together!

- Yeah, I know. In my opinion, a woman should be inferior to a man in many ways. My wife is a very wise woman, besides the fact that I love her and we have lived together for so long. We understand each other well. At our age, love does not play a special role, it fades into the background. And mutual understanding, respect and understanding of a single hearth come first. Lots of factors really. Falling in love at seventeen is one thing. And when you live together for 37 years, it's different. Not all women will endure, I tell you! Yes, and men too.

Do you remember your first meeting with your wife?

- Of course. We met in geodetic practice. I was in my second year, and in the summer we all went to practice. Students cooked for us in the canteen. I rarely go to this restaurant. She stood in the forest and looked more like a large barracks. When I went, I never handed over the dishes. Although there was a sign posted there: "Clean up the dishes after yourself." For the only time in my life, my conscience got stuck, and I thought that I should turn in the dishes. I leaned out the window, saw her and immediately fell in love. You should have seen this picture: the whole face is wrapped in a scarf, one nose sticks out, and steam from pots is all around. Nevertheless, it so happened that we have been together for 37 years.

Does that mean love at first sight does exist?

- Of course! It happens only at first sight.

- Is your wife not jealous of so many fans?

- How not jealous? Jealousy is inherent in any woman. It just comes in different forms. Some boil toadstools and mix them into the soup, others make scandals, others react differently. But I never made my wife hurt. Tried not to. Although it happened. Yes, it happened.

Do you have conflicts in your family?

- Almost not. Conflicts between a man and a woman always arise because of little things. Women talk a lot. Men think more. She speaks and at this moment interferes. In some men, however, immunity appears against this.

- Alexander, you sing exclusively chanson. Why is he so popular lately in Russia?

– Because he has a great history and great roots. Pop music - what Channel One shows - has not come into contact with the ground for a long time. Songs about nothing, people of indeterminate gender and citizenship. I am not interested, and many, I know, are not interested. Pop will not be long.

- Why?

– Because pop is a derivative. What our pop music is today has no roots in the world. This is a cabal, everyone is boiling in the same boiler: the same faces climb from one channel to another. When they meet, they ask about rings, earrings, beads. And chanson is a Russian song, it is about everything! Maybe sad - about the prison as well. But all topics from life. And everything that is natural finds feedback in the human soul and will live for a long time. Chanson is eternal. At the same time, one should not forget that chanson is not a prison, not a gang and not a bunk. These are beautiful love songs.

– But for many it is associated with prison and prisoners!

These rumors are spread by idiots! Look at the central channels rushing. Chanson is clean compared to what is happening in "House-2". The country is choking in sobchachestvo, swinishness and bestiality. And no one notices! But everyone is poking at the chanson: "Where all the evil comes from." What are you, God forbid!

- A few years ago you wrote a letter to the president with a request to clear the TV air of the dominance of homosexuals.

- There was no answer, so I will not write more. I am not writing alone, the whole country is writing. I also wrote once. Enough.

Novikov banned the "Blue Puppy"

Having become the artistic director of the Variety Theater in Yekaterinburg, Alexander Novikov first of all took up the repertoire. After watching the productions, Alexander Vasilyevich removed the play "The Blue Puppy", which was in great demand among Yekaterinburg theatergoers, from the schedule. A major scandal broke out, but Alexander Vasilyevich was adamant.

- As an artistic director, I see caricature, low artistic level and the spirit of pedophilia! – said the artist. This will never happen in our theatre!

Biography

Childhood and youth

Born on October 31, 1953 on the Iturup Island of the Kuril Archipelago, in the village of Burevestnik. Father is a military pilot, mother is a housewife. For the first 2 years of his life, Novikov and his family lived on Sakhalin, then for some time he lived in the Latvian village of Vaynode, then for ten years in the city of Frunze, and in 1969 Novikov moved to the city of Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), where he continues to live and work to this day. time.

Sasha Novikov grew up as a very smart boy. However, he studied poorly at school, did not observe discipline, and already in the 4th-5th grade Novikov was expelled from the ranks of the pioneers. In everyday life, the future musician was an open anti-Soviet.

Novikov also showed his temperamental character in boxing and sambo.

Passion for music to the young Alexander Novikov came in 1967 under the impression of watching the film "Vertical" with the participation of Vladimir Vysotsky, who performed 5 of his songs in the film. As a student at UPI, he performed as part of the institute's VIA "Polymer". He was expelled from the institute for performing the song "The Beatles" at one of the institute's events.

In 1971, he received his first term for a fight in a restaurant. Novikov and his friend stood up for the waitress against an opponent who refused to pay and used physical force against her. The opponent himself then ended up in the hospital, and the waitress got his watch, which Novikov and a friend, having taken it out of the pocket of an unconscious opponent, gave it to her. Novikov was given a suspended sentence for a year with mandatory involvement in labor (popularly "chemistry"), during which he built the Public House in Nizhny Tagil.

In 1980, he created the Rock Polygon group, where he performed as a soloist, guitarist and songwriter. The songs were performed in rock and roll, reggae and new wave styles with elements of punk rock, hard rock and psychedelic rock. The texts were distinguished by the spirit of philharmonic. The group recorded two self-titled albums in (when the official publication for the year is erroneously indicated as ) and 1984.

In 1981, he founded the Novik Records recording studio, where not only Novikov's albums were recorded, but also many Sverdlovsk musicians - in the future, Chaif, Agatha Christie, Nautilus Pompilius and others.

In 1984, Novikov sharply departed from rock music and on May 3rd recorded the famous album “Take Me, Cabbie”. The musicians of the "Rock Polygon", including Alexey Khomenko and Vladimir Elizarov, took part in the recording. The album broke all records of popularity and the scale of replication.

Arrest

On October 5, 1984, Novikov was arrested, and in 1985, by the verdict of the Sverdlovsk court, he was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 10 years - under Art. 93-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Officially - in connection with the activities for the manufacture and sale of counterfeit electronic musical equipment. However, in his interviews, A. Novikov repeatedly noted that he was imprisoned precisely for the album “Take me, cabman”, referring to the case that began with the document “Expertise on the songs of Alexander Novikov”, which contained reviews of each song from the album “Take me me, cabbie." As a result of this examination, it was decided that:

The examination was carried out by the composer Evgeny Rodygin, a member of the Writers' Union of the USSR, a member of the editorial committee of the Ural magazine Vadim Ocheretin, and a representative of the USSR Ministry of Culture Viktor Nikolayevich Olyunin.

In the camp, Alexander Vasilyevich wrote most of his best poems, including “Bench lyrics”, “I got pain and salt into my wounds ...”, “Guitar and barrel organ”, “We will not see you soon ...”, “Gypsy”, “ Four teeth”, “Wife”, “The night is rammed right through by a star…” and others. Also, while still in the SIZO cell, Novikov created the play-fable “Komarilla”, in which, in a comic form, the whole picture of the court is presented, and real people involved in the poet’s “case” are shown under the masks of animals.

Subsequently, in 2012, the autobiographical book Notes of a Criminal Bard was published, covering the period of Alexander Novikov's life spent in the camp.

Liberation and further developments

The very next day after his arrival in Sverdlovsk, the bard sat down in a music studio to work on songs, most of which he composed in custody. The result of the work was the albums "In Yekaterinburg", which was recorded in three weeks, and "Magadan's Necklace". Novikov gave his first concerts after his release, or rather creative meetings, in May in the house of culture of the village of Verkh-Neyvinsky (Sverdlovsk region), and from May 25 to 27, the bard, together with his accompanying group, gave the first "big" concerts in the Sverdlovsk Sports Palace.

Immediately after this, a tour of the cities of the USSR followed. At the very beginning of 1991, Novikov gave his first concerts in Moscow, and immediately at the Variety Theater. These sold-out performances were recorded on film and included in the documentary "Gop Stop Show".

Novikov spent most of his first big fees on business development and charity. So, Novikov transferred all the funds from one of the concerts at the Variety Theater for the construction of the Yekaterinburg Temple on the Blood). For this temple, he also developed, together with the Ural master Nikolai Pyatkov, models and cast 7 bells at his own expense. However, since the temple had not been built at that time, in 2000 he transferred them to the men's monastery on Ganina Yama. All bells have bas-reliefs of members of the royal family and the names of each of them. The largest of them is called "Nicholas II", the smallest - "Tsesarevich Alexei".

In the 90s, Novikov at various times owned several shops in Yekaterinburg, a collective farm, a cargo transportation company from the United Arab Emirates, an airline, and also a factory of difibrer stones (there are only two such factories in the world, in Canada and Yekaterinburg).

In August 1991, he spoke out against the State Emergency Committee.

In parallel with business, producing and charitable activities, Novikov continued to record his new songs and shoot videos for some of them. In 1993, Novikov and director Kirill Kotelnikov shot a unique video for the song "Chansonette", in which the real image was combined with the drawn one, and without the use of computer technology. The clip was shown quite actively on Russian television channels.

Despite this, Novikov already then sharply criticized the then state of the domestic show business. He condemned the degradation of the Russian stage, the low taste of performers and their authors, the dominance of pederasts, the clannishness and nepotism of show business itself, and also called the practice of television workers to take money from performers in the form of bribes for scrolling clips. As a result of this, the bard got into the unspoken lists of "persons undesirable for display", but this only added to the popularity and interest in the personality of A. Novikov from ordinary citizens.

In 1994, together with Kirill Kotelnikov, he made a documentary film about the Boney M. group and its creator Frank Farian "Oh, this Farian!" ("Oh, this Farian!"). Filming took place in Luxembourg and Germany, the film includes Farian's unique interviews and materials from his personal archive. However, the film was never shown on Russian television.

On January 24, 1998, he took part in a gala concert in honor of the 60th anniversary of Vladimir Vysotsky, held at the Olimpiysky sports complex. Among the three dozen artists, Novikov is one of the few who had the honor of performing two songs by the legendary singer-songwriter at once: “Song about the informer” and “Big Karetny”. The famous writer Fyodor Razzakov in the book “Vladimir Vysotsky. I will definitely be back…”

The idea [of the concert] was doomed from the start. It is one thing to sing "Old songs about the main thing", and quite another - the songs of Vysotsky. Therefore, only two or three performers (Alexander Novikov, "Lesopoval", "Lube") managed, if not closer to the author's version, then at least not spoil it. All the other participants in the concert did not cope with this.

On June 16, 2003, Alexander Novikov was awarded the highest church award - the Order of the Holy Prince Daniel of Moscow for his merits in the construction of the Church-on-the-Blood in Yekaterinburg. Since 2004, President of the 400th Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty Foundation in the Urals.

On June 24, 2010, he was appointed artistic director of the [state] Variety Theatre. Having become the artistic director of the theater, Novikov first of all banned the play "The Blue Puppy", in which he saw signs of propaganda of pedophilia.

These vuvuzelas of homosexuality, looking at the world through a walleye, which are all the time for some reason in a bulging state ... So, through these walleyes, any healthy event and a normal act seem to them an attack on their mythical homosexual rights, growing directly from Sodom and Gomorrah.

Alexander Novikov

After this case, the expression "vuvuzelas of homosexuality" gained a lot of popularity on the Internet.

On October 28, 2010, a new album by Alexander Novikov was released on the verses of the poets of the Silver Age, in the recording of which Maxim Pokrovsky took part, performing together with Novikov a song to the verses of Sasha Cherny "Tararam". Alexander Vasilyevich described the result of his work on the creation of this album as follows:

The disc "Pineapples in Champagne" is a gallery of bizarre and unique jewels of the poetry of the "Silver Age". I made a musical setting for each of them. Five years of fine jewelry work

Member of the annual National Prize Chanson of the Year in the Kremlin.

In 2014-2018 he was a member of the jury of the TV show "Three Chords" and repeatedly performed on its stage.

In December 2016, Novikov was charged under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale fraud). On December 23 he was sent by the court for two months under house arrest. According to investigators, Novikov and former Deputy Minister of Economy of the Sverdlovsk Region Mikhail Shilimanov collected about 150 million rubles from shareholders in the construction of the Queens Bay cottage settlement in Yekaterinburg, and then transferred this money to their accounts. The construction of the village was stopped, the law enforcement officers estimated the amount of damage at 35 million 627 thousand rubles.

On July 30, 2018, the Department of State Housing and Construction Supervision of the Sverdlovsk Region signed a conclusion on the compliance of the constructed facility with the requirements of technical regulations. On September 7, 2018, the Ministry of Construction of the Sverdlovsk Region issued a permit for the commissioning of PZHSK "Queens Bay" houses. From this moment, shareholders can receive their apartments and issue a certificate of ownership.

Childhood and family of Alexander Novikov

Alexander Novikov was born on October 31, 1953 on the island of Iturup (the largest island of the Kurils). As a child, the boy was not particularly spoiled, but his parents were loving and caring.

Alexander's father was a military pilot, my mother tried to pay a lot of attention to her son and therefore became a housewife. In 1959, the head of the family went on a well-deserved rest and decided that it was time to get out of the small village, where there were no prospects for his son. As soon as Sasha was 6 years old, his parents decided to move to Kyrgyzstan so that his son would receive a good education in Bishkek.

At first, it was difficult for the boy to get used to the new environment and those around him, but at school he quickly adapted and acquired friends. He was an ambiguous student: already in the first grade he knew Yesenin's poems by heart, by the third grade he read "War and Peace", nevertheless, he had poor grades in the report card, and because of his bad behavior he was not taken to the pioneers.

Parents often moved, so during the school years the boy changed 4 educational institutions. He received a certificate in one of the schools in Sverdlovsk in 1970.

For 10 years, he stubbornly tried to get a higher education: first at the Ural Polytechnic University, and then at the Mining and Forestry Engineering Universities. He did not manage to get the desired diploma, because he was expelled all the time for various reasons: behavior, academic performance, coincidence.

So, at the age of 18, he received his first term for a fight, but his motives were noble. Together with his friends, he witnessed the beating of a waitress and stood up for the woman. The rude man was beaten to a hospital bed, and while he lay unconscious, Alexander took out a watch from his pocket and gave it to the victim as compensation. Alexander was given a "condition" and sentenced to compulsory work.

In his student years, Alexander earned himself a bad reputation as an "anti-Soviet", as he flatly refused to join the Komsomol and was not afraid to criticize the regime. This was found out in the authorities and in the future they closely followed him. Leaving attempts to get a tower, the guy decided to devote himself to creativity. In the late 70s, he began performing in expensive restaurants in Sverdlovsk: Malachite, Cosmos, Ural Pelmeni.

Musical career

In 1981, the guy opened the Novik Records studio and assembled the Rock Polygon group. The repertoire consisted of an interesting mixture of rock and roll, reggae and even psychedelic rock, which was new in the USSR. In 1983, the band presented their debut album with the same name to the band. Unfortunately, creativity did not pass the test of ideology, and therefore there were few concerts and they were all underground, not for the general public.

In parallel with this, the young man began the production of electronic musical equipment, which was not inferior in quality to foreign ones. He also worked as a coach in a sports club.

In 1984, Alexander decided to experiment with genres and released his debut solo album, Take Me, Cabbie, in the chanson style.

The fans were delighted with the record, but they did not even know how much effort it took to record it. Other musicians came to the aid of Alexander: Alexey Khomenko, Vladimir Elizarov and Sergey Kuznetsov. Without agreeing to rent a studio located on the territory of the Uralmash plant, the guys sneaked there at night and recorded a really good album.

After the world heard Alexander's new creation, the authorities put him under surveillance. They listened to his telephone conversations, followed his every step and, of course, collected information bit by bit. At some point, it accumulated enough to arrest the musician.

Arrest of Alexander Novikov

On the fateful morning of October 5, 1984, Alexander was walking along the embankment, when a car suddenly stopped and people in civilian clothes got out of it. He was arrested, placed in a pre-trial detention center, and a criminal case was opened under Art. 93-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (“Theft of state or public property on an especially large scale”). It was not possible to bring the lyrics of Alexander's songs under a criminal case, so they accused him of manufacturing and selling fake musical equipment. However, the singer was sure that his songs were the reason for the arrest. “The author of the above songs needs, if not psychiatric, then prison isolation,” the expert noted in the conclusion. In 1985, a trial took place, which condemned the aspiring singer to 10 years of strict regime. At large, Sasha left a wife and two minor children.

Once in prison in the small town of Ivdel in the north of the Sverdlovsk region, Alexander could get a good job in the library, but he chose only the hardest work. It was by this act that he earned the recognition of local authorities. Throughout the entire period, he cut the wood and helped in the construction.

In 1990, the Supreme Council of the RSFSR decided to release the prisoner, and a little later, the Supreme Court of Russia pardoned Alexander. The authorities agreed that Alexander spent 6 years in prison because of a trumped-up case.

Later career

Once free, Alexander first restored his studio and continued to engage in creativity. In the mid-90s, the singer performed on the radio, recorded albums and toured. In 1993, he personally drew models and cast 7 bells for the temple, which was to be built on the site of the death of the Romanov family.

In 1995, he received the prestigious Ovation Award, and two years later he recorded a new album called Sergei Yesenin. In 2000, he went to Yekaterinburg to donate the bells he made to the Holy Patriarch Alexei II.

Personal life of Alexander Novikov

Alexander has a loving wife, Maria, whom he met in his youth. In difficult times for him, the couple had a son and a daughter. The wife did not leave her husband in custody, she was looking forward to his return.

The singer is very proud of his daughter Natasha: she received a good education and became a professional designer. As for the son of Igor, it is only known that he has his own photo studio.

At one of the Chanson award ceremonies, Novikov gave a short interview in which he thanked his wife for the fact that she managed to save her family in a difficult time for them. He also officially announced in front of everyone that he would never leave her, no matter what rumors the journalists let out.

Alexander Novikov today

At the end of 2015, Alexander Novikov became involved in a major scandal. Shareholders of the residential complex "Bay Queens", the construction of which was carried out for three years, but was frozen in 2012, accused him and his partner Mikhail Shilimanov, the former deputy minister of economy of the Sverdlovsk region, of embezzlement of funds totaling 150 million. The shareholders were convinced that Novikov and Shilimanov simply transferred their funds to their account and stopped construction.

In August 2017, the singer was finally charged under the article "Fraud on an especially large scale, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement." However, the developer did finish the construction of Queens Bay.
